  1. We recommend http://www.diyestores.com/ Very easy and user friendly. Shopping cart was super easy to figure out too (we had issues with that on a prior site we tried to use..lol). Support is great. We send an email and typically have a response in less than an hour.
  2. I prefer Candlewarmers but HATE how long an order takes. OBI I have had a couple of issues with quality, especially the plug in ceramic ones. I had one of the newer square primitive star warmers arrive that was so crooked it wouldnt sit straight and OBI took care of it immediately for me. I also hate that candlewarmer's uses properitiary bulbs. Much nicer to be able to send somebody to Home Depot to replace a bulb.
  3. Iwantitgreen had very politely helped the original poster by explaining how to search. I feel that it was not necessary for anyone else to make a sarcastic comment after that. I get really frustrated in the forums and today's world in genera. What happened to if you can't say something nice don't say it at all?
  4. I also wish OBI would get more of these in and less of the "oil warmer" type of glitzy glass items.
  5. This is the company.. I get trade alerts from them with lots of different ceramic items. http://www.jcccn.com/index.html
  6. The manufacturer is in China, Sunny something. I contacted them a couple of months ago and asked about US distributors and they said OBI was their only US Distributor. They have several styles I hope that OBI will add to their lines.
  7. I go pack my stuff in smaller boxes and use the empty boxes and boards to make risers. first layer is 1 box topped with board second layer 2 boxes topper with a board etc. I then use a thinner drapy material to cover it all. I have had no issues with stability. Boards pack flat and less empty boxes cluttering up under the table. Simple and cheap.. like me ...lol ~Johnna
  8. In the past 3 days we have had customers having issues with OBI warmers. The tart warmer stopped working. Carl is an electrician so he took it apart to see what was up. He found that had gotten so hot in the dimmer switch area it had burnt off part of a component.. was very much a fire hazard as it had turned part of the cord black. Today my daughter called and told me that the OBI plug-in when she went to unplug it to see why the light was not working sparked and fell apart in her hand. I am a bit freaked out. I have sold a lot of OBI warmers since we opened. Going to send an email and a pic of the one we have here that got hot to OBI. Anyone else have any complaints?? Also, does anyone have any other places to purchase the glass style light up warmers other than OBI?
  9. I found them on a gift show website. They have over 58 retail locations in Ohio!! Pricey to 8 oz tumbler is 18 dollars. more marketing is in their About Us. " It's not hard to see why XXXX Candles are the best candles on the market. Our unique super-refined, food-grade soy wax formulation absorbs more fragrance oil than any other natural candle wax available. Our special blend burns clean and strong and lasts up to twice as long as normal candles. Our fragrances are designed in-house with the assistance of the finest perfumers from all around the world, and we use recycled materials wherever possible in the production of our products. The result is a line of premium candles with quality you can see, and most importantly, smell. Once you have experienced the wonderful fragrances and long burn times of our candles, we are sure you will be back again and again" I guess the tested all other natural candle waxes...lol
  10. I ran across the following while surfing around.... "When burning XXX Candles, wicks will develop a black "fragrance mushroom". This "fragrance mushroom" is caused by the high volume of fragrance oils which have made our "Fragrances with Wicks" so popular. A wick serves as a straw when burning, pulling the fragrance oil through the wax and releasing the fragrance into the air as it burns. XXX Candles' "fragrance mushroom" is a constant reminder to you of our dedication to quality and your enjoyment. When a "fragrance mushroom" is formed, gently blow out the flame, let cool, trim wick to 1/8"-1/4" and relight. Without this simple attention, the "fragrance mushroom" could smoke and cause an oversized flame" Not sure what to think about this. I personally strike to have candles that do NOT have a mushrooming wick. Any thoughts?
  11. My last order took over 3 weeks to arrive.
  12. Okay.. I had 3 replies the other day and didnt write it all down and now 1 has seemed to disappear Thanks for all your ideas. I am so not looking forward to this especially since I just found out they are going to project it onto a big jumbo screen also.. I look jumbo enough without Jumbotron TV.
  13. Ok.. I was approached to do a "talk" for the local homemakers club. Is to be about "Deck the Halls with Candles for Christmas". I am to talk about budget ways of decorating your house with candles. So I am asking all you creative minds to help me out a bit. Any ideas on common household items to convert and use as Christmas decorations/centerpieces, etc.. I have to fill 30+ minutes of time !!

  15. They are available but not from any local store that I have ever found. Have to order them from a supplier. I use Candlemakers Store
  16. I use Intuit online terminal. When at a show I can bring it up on my phone (not all phones are compatible). I have had absolutely no issues with it. The monthly fee is low and the other fees are okay in my eyes. The receipt is a little strange that you can print off but so far my customers havent complained. As a new store I really do not have enough charges each month to justify the 12.95 but on the other hand if you want customers you have to be accomodating to them.. is a catch 22 I guess.
  17. Do you mind sharing what temperature you dipped at? I have tried in the past and basically made a huge mess..lol I have a huge box of pinecones waiting for me to do something with them
  18. We use a majority of NG fragrances in a soy blend. We have found a couple that we didnt personally like but you find that happens with any company it seems. I will say this they have amazing customer service.
  19. I went to pick my daughter up at a friends house. I walked in and I hate to admit it but it smelled fantasic. Some sort of cinnamony scent. Her mom has been in my store before but i havent saw her for a while. She came into the room and told me she had found a "new brand" at walmart of tarts she was using. The worst thing was it smelled great ... bummed.
  20. I totally agree.. the 100 dollar minimum and having to buy in case packs is rough. I I so wish I could find a local artist that could make me custom warmers, especially for the local high school.. this town is WildCat crazy..lol
  21. Scentsationals has just started selling wholesale to "brick-and-mortar" stores. Before when i contacted them they said they only sold to big box stores. I filled out the application and am waiting to see what they have to offer and at what prices... could be hard to compete with a wally world price.
  22. How much are they selling their warmers for?
  23. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share how they price their sachets? I have the 3x5 muslin and use corn cob filling. I was thinking $1.50-$2.00..
