  1. Sherry, I sent you a copy via email. Good luck !
  2. Travis and Ecco, I have sent you an email with my fundraiser information and contract. I researched a bunch of templates and can't remember exactly where at..lol My form is a combination of what I thought was pertinent. ~Johnna Calico Candle Company
  3. Thanks. I had googled it and could only find retail.
  4. Happy Monday to all I was surfing around (instead of working my "real" job) and I found several places that are selling Mason Jar Tart Warmers.. both in pint and quart size. Anybody know of a wholesale outlet for these?
  5. I have a candle mold that is a rustic pillar, smooth sided but has wording carved into it.. "Simply". Anyhow, how can I put a stained finish on this to make it look aged and also to let the wording show more?
  6. We have recently open a small storefront and we have candle accessories and other "fillers". In my opinion a store that is only jars and jars of candles lined up would not be appealing. The extra fillers like signs and other items help to make our store homey. We do use mainly fillers that are candle-related. One lesson a person told me that has had a store front for a long time is that you need to remember to buy things that are not always what your personal taste and even if you think it is tacky somebody will love it as not everybody has good taste...lol When i was buying tart warmers i bought many that I thought were ugly, either color, shape, pattern.. and I was shocked when some of the first sold were the ones I hated. Hmmm..maybe i am the one with no taste??? Congrats on your store and good luck
  7. We spent hours trying to find a name we both liked and that had a domain free. I was surfing through a country graphic website and saw a pic of a calico kitty and CALICO CANDLE COMPANY popped into my head. Calico also made me think of bright mixed colors. I live fairly rural so country type things are popular. Have incorporated a lil calico kitten graphic in some of our scent labels and various places.
  8. Yep they sure did. I pulled my invoice and double checked 47.50 for 10 cases and 10 cases now shows as 129.50. CRAZY
  9. I guess I can understand that a business has to raise prices now and then.. that is expected. I just think nearly 25% as my order shows is a gigantic jump in price. I know that the shipping "included" was most likely to help ease the pain of price increases. I dont know about everybody else but I keep detailed records of exactly what I spend on my supplies.. it is the only way to make sure my mark up for wholesale and retail is appropriate.. and since I keep such close eye on my expenses I notice price increases and I do not want to raise my prices 25% to cover this increase.
  10. I used WSP for the first time last month. 10 cases jelly jars = 47.50 10 cases lids = 29.50 Febreeze fo 16 ounces = 36.64 Dreamsicle fo 16 ounces = 20.00 1000 tea light wicks = 50.00 300 Votive warning labels = 15.00 Case IGI 1343 = 74.25 TOTAL = 272.89 I just built an order with the same exact items 10 cases jelly jars = 129.50 10 cases lids = 59.50 Febreeze fo 16 ounces = 34.00 Dreamsicle fo 16 ounces = 20.00 1000 tea light wicks = 50.00 300 Votive warning labels = 17.85 Case IGI 1343 = 109.25 SubTOTAL = 420.10 tax = 24.42 TOTAL = 444.35 - 105.03 pick up discount FINAL = 339.32 That is an increase of 66.43 for the exact same items and I am picking them up so the change is shipping should make no difference. An increase of nearly 25% in prices. That is a pretty big jump in my mind. WSP did have the best price for jelly jars for me but guess I will be researching and finding someplace else if possible.
  11. DUH... I never thought to google the entire description...lol Thanks for all the help. At least I have a starting point to see if I can find the requested scent.
  12. I am trying to find a specific scent that is described as "sweet and buttery. A delicious mixture of caramel and rich maple combined with nuts in a buttery cream base". A local business used to sell this and has went out of business and I am getting tons of requests for this scent and am clueless of what it might be. The previous store called it "Buckeye" but I am assuming that is a created name because we are in Ohio..lol. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. I was researching wholesale and I wondered if anyone could share with me how using a rep works. It would seem more beneficial for us to have a rep at a marketplace show then to try and market and promote ourselves. Any input would be appreciated.
  14. Isnt that what the United States Post Office is saying? They have a flat rate box.. if it fits and is under 70 pounds it is 7 dollars (I think... I tend to tune all commercials out)..
  15. Remember we were all new at one time or another... I would assume she was a newbie and direct her to some websites to do her own research. I would never give my "exact" formulas but I have no problems leading someone on how to find the information themselves.
