  1. I use really good oils. I use, KY, Lone Star and Candle Science. What do you suggest I try?
  2. I am using .70 oz.per 8 oz. of wax.
  3. I am just floored. I don't understand what wax you all are using that a 1 oz. cube of wax is lasting 8-10 hours. I am lucky if mine last for 2 hours. I have been using the KY Parasoy Votive Tart wax and heating to 165 as they recommend and pouring at 155 as they recommend and they throw strong, but it just doesn't last long. What wax are you all using. I must need to change wax. Thank you in advance for your help. Elizabeth
  4. I am doing something very wrong. My tarts only throw scent for about 2 hours. I am using one square out of a 6 unit clamshell. The wax I use is KY Parasoy Votive Tart wax. What is a good wax with better long scent throw.
  5. I am amazed that you get scent throw for 36 hours. I do good to get 2 hours out of 1 square from a 6 unit clamshell. I use the KY Parasoy Votive Tart Blend and was having good results, but now they just don't last. Can you suggest a better wax?
  6. Ravens, I am also curious is it a specific type of wax that CS carries? I am looking for a different tart wax. I was having really good results with Ky's Parasoy votive wax, but now it seems like the tarts lose their scent very quickly. I want a wax that will hold the scent for at least 4 hours or so. And when you make the clamshell tarts, how many tarts do you put in a warmer at one time to get a nice scent a large area?
  7. I was having really good results with my fragrance melts and now I feel like they lose their scent too quickly. I use the Ky parasoy tart and votive blend. What can I do to make the scent last longer.
  8. I have wondered if there was anything I could add to my tart wax to extend the scent time on the tarts. Are you saying that using vybar helps with extending the amount of time the tarts throw scent? If so, how much do you use say per pound of wax?
  9. This is all new to me. What is DPG and where can you buy it? Thank you, Elizabeth
  10. I really like the way the KY wax works (convenience), but am hoping to find a wax that gives scent throw for a really long time and I find with the KY sometimes the scent doesn't last as long as I would like. How long do you find the melts throw scent with the TCS? And how many squares out of a clamshell do you put in your warmer at one time? I really appreciate your help. Elizabeth
  11. Ravens. What combo of 4794 and what soy wax and at what ratio do you mix to get the best and longest scent throw from your tarts? Thank you, Elizabeth
  12. Thank you. That is the Wax I use also. I was thinking of increasing my oil a little to see if the scent would last a little longer. How many squares do you melt at one time? I have been only putting in one at a time, or maybe 2 because it so strong at first, but it seems like after an hour or so the scent is almost all gone. I guess maybe for one or 2 squares the scent evaporates out fairly quickly. Still figuring all of this out. Take care. Elizabeth
  13. O.k. I know there will be conflicting feelings on this, but I want to know, which Clamshell tart wax do you think makes the prettiest and longest scent throwing products? I find mine makes really nice looking product, but the scent only lasts a couple of hours. Thank you, Elizabeth
  14. I completely agree. They ship sooooo slow. At Christmas it was ridiculous. I was waiting like 3 weeks to receive my orders. And now they are using the excuse of the shows and now slow boats from China; literally. I like their products but I get really tired of the slow order processing and high shipping.
  15. My problem with the tarts is that the scent is very strong for an hour or so but then it weakens very quickly. I use the KY Parasoy Votive Wax. Love the convenience and all, but wondering if I should use something else?
  16. I have several questions. 1 - what is IMO, 2 - Who is TCS, and I use the KY Parasoy Votive Wax and love it except I am noticing the tarts are really strong at first, but only last a couple of hours. Is there any way to increase the amount of time the scent throw lasts? And with the combo of 4786 and 415 does that give a longer scent throw time? Thank you for your help. Elizabeth
  17. What wicks do you like. The eco was the recommended first choice for wicking with the 2 waxes I blend on the CS website Wick Guide, but I am open to suggestions. And yes, the wicks are definitely getting clogged or I would say bogged down. The flame starts out o.k. and them it becomes this smoldering little blue flame and then it puts itself out.
  18. I so agree with you. I tried to see when I talked to Diane if she thought it could be a variance in the fragrance oil from one bottle to another and she said it couldn't be that, but I am becoming increasingly convinced that that is the problem. I have been test burning random other of my candles in all other scents that have been made with the same batch of wax, wicks, same amount of fragrance oil, etc. and they are all burning fine. I feel something has changed with those two fragrances. The only other time I have had this happen is with Cajun Candles Patchouli, but I have basically given up on finding a good patchouli. I have yet to find one that burns well or has good scent throw. It may have one, but not the other. Does anyone know of a good true Sandalwood or Patchouli that will burn and have good scent throw?
  19. So you think the phthalate's aid in the way the candle scents burn?
  20. I didn't know that. My jar is 3" in diameter in the center of the jar, so that should be good, right?
  21. I have tried wicking up to a Eco 10 and also a 12 and I have cut back 1/2 an oz. on fragrance oil and still not working. I talked to Diann and Candle Science and she says it is the wax, but I am not so sure. My wax is a combo of IGI 4627 and IGI 6006.
