  1. Wow, that's a lot of candles to pour.
  2. I adjusted the wax combo I am using and will hopefully test today to see if I can get this one out of the bowl. I really don't want people having to pour out melted wax...messy and not safe.
  3. That's why I recommended starting with the wickless containers because you don't have to worry about the wick. You can just melt, add dye, FO, and pour into a tin or squat jar with wide mouth, let set, then melt on candle warmer. Then you can see if you want to start wicking containers.
  4. You can make wickless tins or jars with it to put on the warmer.
  5. You can make tarts I think if you mix it with a harder wax. Do you only make tarts?
  6. Wow, great deal. I don't know what to tell you on the wax,but wow.
  7. OMG Leah, that would be so frustrating to be done testing and then have that problem. Grr...it's so annoying if they are reformulating and not telling people.
  8. Edensong- Thanks, I got my package with the balm for my daughter. And thank you so much for the extras you threw in there... Jamie
  9. I chose to go with Lilywicks Scented Creations... Do you think I should maybe change it to Lilywicks Candles or Lilywicks Candles and Creations?
  10. Yeah, I will Stella. No worries, just wanted to get the chandler perspective on it too.
  11. Yep, think I might have to be a "normal" person when it comes to testing my candles. I will try just one tomorrow and see if I still have the headache. Then if I do I will try an unscented one to see if it is the wax burning or the FO. I just got rid of my headache tonight with 4 ibuprofen and 2 excedrin migraine. Oh, and a bowl of ice cream ...what a nice combo.
  12. I have been getting headaches with testing candles. I am using Acu Para 30 (70% para 30% soy) with 6% FO. I have been testing 4 candles at a time for 3 hours at a time. I don't know if it's because I have been testing too many candles or if it's the FO or if it's possibly the paraffin. Do you guys know if there is any evidence to suggest or reason to think that switching to a "cleaner" burning wax would help with this? I do get migraines at times and have been having a lot more headaches since starting to test these container candles. I don't want to give up candle making but I don't want to feel horrible every time I burn one either. What do you think?
  13. Nope 70 parrafin and 30 soy. I am looking for something that I can buy already mixed at this ratio. Thanks.
  14. Oh, and I am a fellow Washintonian...is that how you spell that?? Lol.
  15. Didn't look nervous at all. Did great.
  16. Well I know I probably COULD have Lily Pad Candles, but don't want it because I wanted something different and more unique.
