  1. Hello. Does anyone know what the restrictions are for shipping FO's? I was told you can't ship bottles of FO's USPS. I called Post office and UPS and Post office isn't sure and said they will call me back. UPS said it was probably ok. Anyone have knowledge on this? I have bottles of FO's that I want to sell and need to know this for shipping costs. Thanks, Jeanne
  2. Only if I can adopt you for all your candle knowledge :-)
  3. Thank you. Believe me, if it wasn't for my son's connections I wouldn't have it.
  4. Trudi, Thanks for your suggestions. I am glad you mentioned the palm wax, because when I put this info together for the website I was testing and I never did go with the palm wax. I am strictly using soy wax so I will have that changed with my upcoming updates. It always pays to have help from others. Thanks again, Jeanne
  5. Thanks. That was also my son's doing. He had another friend of his that is a photographer do them. He did a great job.
  6. I will check out IKEA and thanks about the website. I didn't do it, I wouldn't know what to do . My sons friend did it for me. Jeanne
  7. Hello everyone. I have popped in to read every so often but have been very consumed with my husbands illness and candles. I did manage to do a couple of craft shows with the products I had tested and gotten done before all the craziness started here. I loved doing the craft shows and I have to tell you that I learned alot from alot of you here and especially Stella. I am testing new scents now and my problem is we don't have alot of storage so does anyone have any suggestions for storing the poured candles? I have them in the boxes the containers come in but such a pain when someone wants to buy what is on the bottom (ha ha), never fails. My website is running and I would love feedback from all of you. It is www.thinkscentsable.com. Of course now I'm rushed for time trying to get new scents done to make up for the Christmas scents I have and with my husbands treatments and appts. things are very tough. I also took a job and will be starting training on Monday. I'm tired just thinking about it but have to do what needs to be done and the candle part of it I enjoy, even when making my mistakes! I'm going to end here and hope you can lead me in the right direction for storage. I don't want anything that needs to go on the wall, I would prefer free standing suggestions. Thanks again to everyone. Jeanne
  8. I have a few scents that are awful, they smell great when heating, and also cold throw. When I burn them they are like fuel. I'm using ecoysoya cb and pb and both are bad. I tried using coconut oil and it didn't make a difference, then I tried cutting the amount of fragrance and it still smells awful! I am referring to cinnamon stick, and holiday memories. Amish Harvest has no hot throw at all. Very disappointing. I've been ordering from Just Scent. Jeanne
  9. Thank you. I will try it this way. And thanks for the wax paper advice also. Jeanne
  10. Hello. I started "trying" to do a second pour on my votives and I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. I fill to the top and when cooled then do a second pour. Problem is I am wasting alot and making quite a mess. Should I be filling them to the top? I am using the flair votive molds and ecosoya pb. I didn't like the way they were sinking in the middle so I decided to do this. Should I not fill them to the top on the first pour? I'm pouring 10 degrees hotter on the second pour also. Thanks, Jeanne
  11. Hello. Can anyone tell me what kind of molds can be used for tarts and votives other than the metal molds. I would like the foil baking cups for the tarts but don't want the mini one and the 2 1/2 in are to big. What ones can be used and where do you get them. Also, other options for votives? Thanks, Jeanne
