  1. You know, Grama, that's funny because I wicked up last year but I decided to retest this year before I started making for fall. Now, I have to wick down! And its from the same bottle of scent! What is up with that? I'm surprised all candlemakers aren't bald (from pulling their hair out)
  2. Vicky, that looks just like cool whip right out of the nozzle (the spray can)!!! Very nice.
  3. Yeah, I always double wick those little apoths. Especially using soy wax which tends to burn down before out.
  4. Me too on the Cranberry Marmalade. I'm thinking of making this one year around next year.
  5. Fall testing with Pumpkin Souffle and Cranberry Marmalade, both from CS. These are some fine scents!
  6. Dip it a couple of times in fragranced wax and then put embeds around. Stay with what you know.
  7. That doesnt' really make sense. I would think that suppliers would frown upon us mixing our own scents. They would rather have us buy from them. But to answer the original post, I usually only mix as I use but I have stored mixed scents on occasion with no problems.
  8. Wouldn't the slumped tile just make a perfect candle holder? :smiley2:
  9. Sometimes I'll use these oils for wickless items so that I don't have to go through the trouble of testing the wicks for an item I'm not going to carry.
  10. I usually put the lid on after it cools completely. Maybe a day or two after pouring.
  11. Your original post was in B&B recipes: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84088
  12. Well I haven't used CB Advanced but I use C3 and I pour it at 165. C3 also needs a longer cure time, a week or so.
  13. Can you test in your garage or somewhere that you don't have to be all the time?
  14. You might want to make some and then burn them in an outdoor pit. My firestarters usually just start the fire and then they're gone. I can't give you an exact time. Depends on the size of the pine cone, the type of kindling used, etc. If you're going to sell them, you should test them.
  15. This is such a cool idea! Your soaps are neat looking.
