  1. I know many of you don't care to order from WSP, but I believe this is the paper you are looking for: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ProductDetail.aspx?CatalogID=1&GroupID=582&CategoryID=1917&ProductID=7633&ProductName=Crafters+Choice%e2%84%a2+All+Natural+Soap+Embed+Paper+-+8.5%22+x+11%22+Sheets
  2. I just got a case from them a couple of weeks ago. I am very happy with them! They were quick to ship my order, and the clamshells are not hard to close like some that I got from another company. I easily get 3 - 3.1 oz. of wax in them.
  3. Sweet Innocence from Oregon Trail smells just like a newborn baby! Love it!
  4. If you have a Click N Ship account you are getting commercial base pricing. You have to mail large amounts to get the commercial plus pricing. Do you currently have a Click N Ship account? The new regional boxes are great for shipping smaller orders. With the "A" box (up to 15 lbs.) the rates start at $4.97 for zones 1&2 and go up to $9.37 for zone 8. That is still cheaper than the medium flat rate box. You can't take a regional box into the post office and pay the shipping fees there. But I was told (by a postal employee) that if you have a Click N Ship label already on the package, you can still drop the package off at the post office. Hope that makes sense.
  5. "You can have it connected to a computer with internet access (make sure it is secure internet access) at shows and swipe and run the card there or you can just swipe all the cards and then attach it to your computer when you get home to process the cards. However, if you choose to process the cards later, you will have to write down some information (like the last 4 and amount) so you can go back and write in how much to charge the card." That explains it perfectly! I wait until I get home from a show and attach it to my computer. I use a simple sales receipt book that has a carbon copy, and just write down their name, last 4 digits of the card #, and $ amount. I like to give them a copy of the receipt (stamped with my business name). When you do process it you will only see their name and the last 4 digits of the card #. When you have a bunch to process it is much quicker than having to enter the entire number in.
  6. I have been using the MicroSecure Card Reader for the last year and a half, and I love it! Saves me a lot of time and it is more secure for my customers!
  7. I get mine from Cierra Candles... http://www.cierracandles.com/6-cavity-Clamshell-for-Wax-Tarts-p4871.html If you were to buy 400 you would get them shipped for free! They also ship fast and have great customer service!
  8. I use USPS for most of my website orders. For me the flat rate boxes are the least expensive way to ship to the states further away. Shipping to states closer to where I live I still use priority, but just use a regular priority box (not flat rate box). The USPS provides all the boxes for free. Also if you sign up for an online account with USPS and print your labels online, you get a discount on the shipping rates, and free package tracking/delivery confirmation. I pass that savings on to my customers and just charge them what I am paying.
  9. Kim has some great products! http://www.grouchygals.com/home1.html Under "Grouchy Gals Bath" she has several lotions to choose from!
  10. Carlena, That 0.06A converts to 7W. I just looked on a warmer I had gotten from Levine, and on the plug (right in the plastic, below the metal prongs that plug into the outlet) it states Max. 15W. Is that where you found the 0.06A? I appreciate your help on this! The warmers are so cute...I would love to get some of them. I just don't know if I would risk selling them with a 15W bulb if they were meant to only have a 7W bulb in them.
  11. Ann Marie or Carlena - Do these tart warmers from ABC Dist. have any kind of label on them about a maximum wattage of light bulb that can be used in them?
  12. I have some of the lip balm base w/SPF from RE (which is the same place as lipbalmtubes.com) and it is horrible! It is very hard and crumbly...and in most of the tubes I made with it, it will not twist out of the tubes. I followed their directions exactly. It has been over a month since I contacted their tech. support about it, and after a few emails back and forth, I am still waiting for them to take care of the problem. I usually use the base from BCN, and it has always worked well, and my customers love it! But I have had many people ask for one with SPF in it, so that is why I tried the one from RE. If you find another company that offers the lip balm base w/SPF, let us know!
  13. I have used Pine Plantation from BCN in the ornies, and they were very strong!
  14. I need to order more USA soon, and am thinking about ordering it from ScentSations Candle Supplies. Can anyone who has tried theirs tell me how it compares to JBN's or The Candlemakers Stores? Thanks for your help! Craftyone
  15. I have used ProPay for several years...and have never had a problem! I did not have the card reader at first, but last summer my husband talked me into getting it, and it saves alot of time! I use a small sales receipt book (the kind with a carbon copy), which is stamped with my business name. I write down the last 4 digits of the cc#, the $ amount of the sale, and the customers name and phone number. The customer gets a copy, and I use the other copy when I get home. It makes taking credit cards affordable...and the card reader is great because you don't have a record of the entire credit card number, only the last 4 digits, as the rest of the number is encrypted.
  16. Candlebug - The infrared thermometer I have is the exact same model of the ones you have!! And that is a great price!!!
  17. I have one too, and I just love it! I also stir the wax and then check the temp. It is very accurate, and so quick to use...a real time saver! My husband got mine at a NAPA auto parts store...it is a Raytek MiniTemp. I think it was $60 - $70.
  18. Does the tool you are looking for cut a small slit in the fabric or does it make an actual hole?
  19. Are you referring to a half pint wide mouth canning jar? If so, that is the jar I use for my wickless, and they work great!!! A short, wide jar works much better than a taller, skinny one for the wickless.
  20. Those firestarters look great!!! I also make them in a similar way, but I don't even bother with a wick. As soon as you light the edge of the paper cup, they burn just fine. I also was concerned that if I put a wick in them, someone might think it burned like a candle. You never know these days.....:rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 !!!
  21. I use the aroma beads to make ornies, and when placed in a car they give off a nice fragrance for a couple of months at least. The heat in the car makes them more fragrant. I also make sachets with them, and have found that they work best when used in a dresser drawer, or a closet, that type of thing. I don't think they work very well in a large room.
  22. I am not the most experienced one at wicked candles, but I will share what I have learned... First of all, make sure your wick is trimmed to 1/4". When you start the test burn, you want to burn it for about 1 hour for each inch in jar diameter. Using a 3 inch jar for an example, you would burn the candle for 3 hours. Keep detailed notes on everything...the # of hours burned, the flame height, watch for sink holes, etc. At the end of the 3 hours, you should be close to having a complete melt pool. (Sometimes it takes several test cycles to get a complete melt pool...which is fine...as the further it is burned, the warmer the glass gets, which helps with any hangup you may have). You want your melt pool to be around 1/4" -3/8" deep, and a maximum of 1/2". After you extinguish the flame and the wax has hardened again, you trim your wick to 1/4", and repeat the burn cycle. Continue to burn all the way to the bottom of the jar. You want to make sure that the second half of the jar doesn't burn too hot. Each candle fragrance needs to be tested, so keep detailed notes on each FO used, what dyes were used, etc. It can be a very frustrating process, but it is also very rewarding when you get a candle that burns perfectly from top to bottom! Have fun!
  23. I have used ProPay for the past year and a half, and it works great. I pay about $60.00 per year for the premium plan that accepts the 4 major credit cards. I think the transaction fee is about 3.25%, +.35. There are no monthly minimums, but there is a maximum of $3000.00 per month. There is also a basic plan that accepts VISA/MC only, and costs less per year. I highly recommend using ProPay!
  24. The type of cello bag that you do want to use are the polypropylene. The ones you don't want to get are the polyethylene, which suck the fragrance out.
