  1. I pack each seller's orders seperately. I use boxes for the sellers with lots of candles and then some sellers who only sell a few items get theirs placed in bags. I label each box/bag with the sellers name and the amount of boxes/bags they have. Ex: Jon Doe 1 of 3 Some sellers I have to use maybe 2 jj boxes and 1 plastic bag, etc. I used to just deliver them and let the orginization sort them. Last year I started offering this and actually landed a few fundraisers over others because of offering that service. It's very frustrating for the orginization to sort everything and since I have to go through everything anyways to be sure it's all there, it's really not that hard for me to just sort and label them for them. I put each seller's order forms into their box/bag 1 of 1.
  2. I'm starting to wonder if what I got from Candle Wic is even C-3? It throws the same, just horridly hight flames. The two candles I've been powerburning today that I made up 2 days ago are preforming just fine as far as soot, but the flame is still rather high. About 1- 1 1/2 in. within 5 minutes of lighting. I mean the ECO's are known to dance wild every now and again, but nothing like this. I'm just going to place a new order tomorrow with Candle Science and will have to email my customers waiting on orders and tell them I won't be able to ship until next week, Darn! I'm glad I read this though, thank you!
  3. Ohhhh Strawberry Shortcake would be a great one! I'd love to try one if anyone ever finds one!
  4. Thanks Brenda, that's very reassuring to hear that your new box is fine! Ugh, it just kills me when something like this happens. We work so hard to perfect something and to put out a great candle and then *poof*! Everything feels like you're starting from scratch. Well I ordered the 464 today already so at least if anything I will have that for dipping bears and tp! LOL I wish Candle Science would have called me back on it. The box I got from Candle Wic doesn't have any label on it at all. That's why I was so thrown back. Unless I'm missing it somewhere. This would be the first case I had gotten from Elevance (if it is) so I don't know how they're packaging it now. I also had never ordered this from Candle Wic before either so I didn't know if they repackaged it some how or what. I know this, I'll stick with where I've always gotten it before, even if it is on sale somewhere else! And I agree, too much time and money already put into this wax. The thought of starting completely over for over 50 fragrances scares the patootie outta me!
  5. Thanks Mel! I totally missed that post and just read through it. Interesting! Ugh, I'm so frustrated! I was going to place an order for about 300 lbs of wax but I'm too stinkin' scared to now! I don't know what kind of a mess I might get in to ! UGH!
  6. I just started a new thread on this because some how I missed this one. My problem is I don't have a lot number of any sort. The last case I ordered came from Candle Wic and this was the one and only case I've ever ordered from them. I thought it was weird when I got it last month I think it was because I'm used to the Nature Wax Cargill C-3 sticker being on the side of the case (no matter where I've gotten it from) and Candle Wic's had nothing. Just a plain brown box really. I'm at a loss. I'm having way more air bubbles however my big thing is for some reason the wicks I've used for probably the last 5 years are suddenly burning VERY hot in the wax. I'm getting like 2-3 in flames within a half hour of lighting an 8 oz jj and loads of soot. I used to be able to power burn these for like 14 hours and not have a lick of soot and now I'm getting tons of dark black soot. Any one else having this issue? I agree with whoever suggested lot numbers on the candles, I think this will be a top priority for me to do! I'm frustrated because as much of a beast as C-3 has been in the past, of all the soy's on the market I've tried this one has been tried and true killer throw both hot and cold for me. I just ordered a case of 464 because I don't know what else to do. I'm too scared to order any more C-3... ugh! And to think I have a fundraiser for 200 kids coming up! Ugh!
  7. Is anyone having issues with any new cases of C-3 they've gotten? My last case is burning unusally hot and sooting which I've never had happen. Prior to this change I've been able to power burn these for up to 14 hours with no a lick of soot and now the whole jar is black. The flames on my usual wicking (ECO 8's in an 8 oz jj) are huge even before they enter "power burning" territory. I saw on Candle Sciences website that Elevance is now manuf. this... have they done something different? I just purchased a case of 464 to try out. I have a sample bag here and a year ago I had tested out 1 fragrance in it (NG Downy Water Lily and Jasmine) and it performed pretty good for me. Don't know that it was C-3 hot throw punch but I'm at a loss. I figure worse case is the 464 case I just bought will be used for dipping bears but I don't know what to do. I tried calling Candle Science and didn't get an answer. I'm getting really frustrated. I think they should give us a heads up if they're going to be changing something in a wax we've used for years! Grrrrr!!! TIA for any help!
  8. Gosh, I'm not sure exactly how much mica I use cuz I just dump it in and mix until I get the color I want. LOL But if I had to guess I probably use 1 TBSP worth for my swirl colors which I pull out about 2 full ladels full. For the sage color in the main portion of my batch (which was a 3 lb batch before I took my swirl color out) I used probably 3-4 TBSP...depends on how dark I want it. Don't hesitate to dump more in to get the color you want. I've made jet black swirls before and had lots of it clumped in certain spots and my bubbles are always white. HTH!
  9. I had someone ask me today if I had anything comparable to this fragrance that's been discontinued. Problem is I have no idea what this smells like. LOL Anyone have any kind of a description or any of the notes in this candle? TIA!
  10. I think it looks great and I bet is smells great too! Very neat idea, love it!
  11. This is only my second attempt at a slab mold so try not to laugh at me too hard. I think I've gotten better than my first one which was a complete disaster though! LOL Colored with Sage mica from coastal scents and purple mica from BCN. I think I used too much color for my swirl. Has anyone else ever soaped this f/o? I was really bummed out when I cut it because the scent has really faded. I'm hoping maybe it will come back.
  12. Absolutely beautiful! My 3 boys would love it too! I never thought the polycarbonate would even work...what an ingenious idea! I don't own one so I've never seen one in person but I always thought maybe the platic would be too thick to cool it down. I'll have to search around and see if I can find one big enough for me because I HATE doing them in the metal molds! LOL You did a GREAT JOB!
  13. I think she wants a flavor oil not fragrance oil. But I agree their cupcake fragrance is awesome!
  14. Absolutely gorgeous! I just got a slab mold and can't wait to be able to produce such great swirls like that! You did a GREAT job!
  15. I've searched and can't seem to find to find a real answer to what I need. Has anyone ever soaped a cotton candy f/o with good results? I saw at NG someone left a great review on the cotton candy but the report is only for 24 hours after it was soaped. I doubt I'll ever find a cotton candy scent that is like a bomb in CP but I'd love one that you could actually smell without searching for what f/o it is! LOL TIA!
  16. I know this is a bit older of a post but I found it while searching for something else LOL and thought I'd post that I just used Brambleberry's Buttercream and it is devine! Reminds me of a frosted cupcake. HTH some!
  17. I haven't used the neons but I've used the POP and haven't had any fading yet. It's been probably 3 months? I actually did the Fruity Loops 6 layered in them to compare with BC's micas and they looked identical to me and I didn't have issues with either one. I can get bright vibrant colors but I do use alot. LOL I don't know exactly how much since I just dump, I don't measure. LOL But I'd guess in my 2 ladels worth of swirl color I use at least 1 tsp. For the whole batch I use probably 3-4 tsp.
  18. WOW!!! Great job!!!! Those are beautiful!!!! I want to try these some day... I've never even used one but they just seem so darn intreging! You did a wonderful job!!!
  19. Wow Misty! Those are beautiful! Glad to hear on the two strawberry f/o's that finally work! I was SO dissapointed in the BCN Strawberry Jam. The first week it was kickin' so great and then the 2nd week the scent almost dissapeared. Could still smell it but it was very light. Thanks so much for all the help!
  20. Thanks Louise! I had actually looked on there and when I saw BCN's Strawberry Jam was on there I just thought maybe I have a different definition of it. LOL I'm looking for a scent that once it's cured was still good and strong. The two f/o's I've tried so far didn't work well for me at all. LOL
  21. Here's the instructions I used ~ http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/soaprecipes/ss/lavendmintsoap.htm That tutorial is just for doing 2 layers that are tilted. I actually stumbled upon it on accident when I was searching up some description info for a lavender mint blend we had just made. LOL I had just gotten the Fruity Loops in a few days before that and as soon as I saw that the ideas started flying in my little ol' brain. I just though, huh...if it can be done with 2 layers why not 6? LOL What I did was bought 6 cheapo plastic 4 cup measure cups with the pour spout on them. I line them all up and just dump my soap (unfragrances/uncolored) into each one until they all look even. Then I measure out .5 oz f/o and my vanilla stabalizer and line up each mica color in front of each mixing cup. I use the towel that I cover my mold with and just use that to tilt my mold (log mold obviously LOL). Once I get the color I want for the first layer, I pour in my f/o, stick blend for about 5-10 seconds (it'll start setting up quick if you use 50/50) and then pour. I leave the mold tilted until I get the second layer done and then turn it around and leave it flat when pouring that layer. Again, I leave it there until the 3rd one is done and then I flip it around again and tilt it before I pour the 3rd layer...and so on and so on. You could easily do 7-8 layers but any more than that (at least with a 50/50) and I think the unfragranced soap is just too thick (at least in my recipe, might vary for other recipes). In all honesty it's probably easier to do this than swirl...just a bit more time consuming. It takes me an extra 15-20 min to do this but I think it fits too well with this f/o and couldn't imagine soaping it any other way! These have been selling very well for me. I sold 4 logs of this last week in wholesale. My retail I sold a log in about a week and a half and what I thought would be great for kids is actually a huge hit with the adults! Oh and I can't remember if I said before but this f/o rocks in CP! I rank it right up there with Stonehenge and Coolwater!
  22. I love them all but I have to say the last one is my absolutel fav! Great job!!!
  23. LOL I got it and responded but I did forget to tell you that yes you could have posted that here. :smiley2: Thanks for the info. I might play around a bit more with it. I sure wish one of the suppliers that sell the FBB would get a break down on ingredients and plus in 1 ingredient for us. I asked WSP for a break down on the FBB & M&P recipe since it was on their site I figured they'd have it and they told me to just put the ingredients for one and then add the ingredients for the other directly after...ummm I'm pretty sure that's not legal. Though someone can correct me if I'm wrong! Wouldn't bother me to be wrong on that because their recipe really did make probably the BEST bubble bath ever! I was even going to use that recipe for solid bubble bath until I found out I couldn't label it right. Thanks again for the help and ideas! :smiley2:
  24. Can anyone help me out with finding a strong strawberry scent for CP? I've used BC's Strawberry Jam and their Strawberry Daquari CO. The Strawberry Jam was real good for about the first week then got really light and the Strawberry Daquari smelled like plastic...ick! So I'm on the quest for the strongest strawberry f/o. Any input? TIA!
