  1. Such a bummer that it didn't work out like you had hoped. One of these days I'm just going to have to spend the big bucks I guess to get a silicone lined mold.
  2. Hey ditzy, those are just so cute! I've been doing the cupcakes with whipped CP on top and would much rather use the FBB cuz I think it makes a wonderful bubble bath! I had also tried it with the FBB and M&P and actually was making it work until I realized I couldn't label it properly to sell. I had never thought about adding any butters in to harden it up! I made some today using 3% (which is the max additive I can add into WSP's FBB) and am hoping they'll harden some. Can you tell me if yours hardened up and do you know about how much you used? I'd love to make these work like this! So much quicker to put together than whipped soap! LOL
  3. Nope, haven't faded a bit! They also don't stain at all either. This has become very popular for me. I just made5 logs in the last few days of this just for wholesale.... I don't know if it's the scent or the color that's drawing them but people sure love it! I've used the pop micas as well and think both BC's and the POP micas have the exact same colors. I just stuck with buying BC's since I don't order anything from TKB other than those micas.
  4. This is really interesting (and exciting!) to read! Thank you so much for sharing this info! I might just have to give this a shot (or rather let DH do it LOL) because I loose alot of time lining with the freezer paper. I bet I could make an extra log of soap each day for the time I put into prep with freezer paper! LOL Thanks again for the info and tip!
  5. OMG I love it!!!! I can see that being a huge hit with teens too! (Though I don't personally know the fragrance but the design I can see being a hit!) I would say definetly don't chunk it but I can also invision tons of neat things to do with it! Shredding it would be neat to! Oh I think you're a winner either way you choose! GORGEOUS!
  6. Oh it looks gorgeous!!! I love the way you put it together and I think the leaves accents it very well! Great job! I bet it smells devine!
  7. Those look really good! I've been wanting to get some silcone molds to try these with M&P but have never gotten around to it, yours are just too cute and yummy looking!
  8. Glad this has been inspiring! With so much great talent around here and after all the reading I've done and pics I've seen it's nice to be able to give back. :smiley2:
  9. Thanks ya'll! I really wish I could find some of the colors that I had originally gotten from Essentials By Catalina. The $ Tree ones have 5 colors in there and EBC had like 10 I think. LOL I haven't gotten them on my site yet (was waiting until after V-Day) but have put them in the consignment shop I'm in. No clue how they're selling cuz I haven't been in there to check but hoping they'll be good sellers. I really love them, took a few of the first ones I messed up making to test out and really love them. I think my fav has to be the yellow, I did that one in BCN's Daffodil Fields CO and have absolutely fallen in love with that f/o!
  10. Thanks ya'll! I got the idea from here http://www.candletech.com/soap-making/flowering-loofa-soaps/ I caught a great deal on the poufs from Essentials by Catalina a long time ago. I think I got 48 of the assorted colors for like $12. Wish they had put some blue in there though. I've also seen the same ones in 6 packs at my local dollar tree for $1. I was really happy how these turned out. The first two I made didn't work out as well as I had hoped... so those are testers for me LOL. I just used a regular non stick muffin pan, filled it 3/4 way full of my soap, put the pouf in there and then put the remaining soap down through the middle of the pouf. They were really fun and easy to make! Can't wait to see how they sell for me!
  11. I've been wanting to try these for months and just finally got around to doing it today. Had a blast with them, so quick and easy to make and I just think they're so cute! I used BCN's Rainbow Micas for coloring. Thanks for looking! ~Sabrina www.bearhugcreations.com
  12. No ideas on a name but I just wanted to say it's beautiful!!!!!!
  13. I've used BC's micas in almost every soap I've made and never had them turn on me so to speak. LOL I did get some from Coastal Scents that really stunk. They screwed up my soap in a really bad way! I've had some good ones from CS' but also had the few bad ones. I've also tried TKB's POP micas and really like them but I think those colors are exactly the same as BC's Rainbow Micas. I just with BC would offer them in larger sizes than just 1 oz. I order way more from there than I do from TKB.
  14. Thank you! Yup, it's CP soap. I used BC's log mold for this one. I had so much fun with it! This was my first attempt at tilting the layers. My next project is to try and tilt layers in some different fragrances that compliment each other. Not sure how it will go but thought it would be something fun and different for myself. LOL I did these up for Easter. I'm hoping they'll go well for Easter baskets for the parents who don't like to give a basket full of candy. I also make fish soaps in BC's oval container cups and I thought I'd put together a basket with this soap, the fish soap, some soap crayons and maybe some duck soaps, etc. Not sure how it will go over but I thought it would be worth a try. LOL Thanks again for the sweet comments!
  15. Hi all! I'm new here and just wanted to share a new method I just tried for the first time. Scented in NG's Fruity Loops and colored with BCN's Rainbow Mica's.
