  1. OMG! That is friggin' awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I agree with Stonehenge from BCN is fab and the scent holds like a BOMB too! Also, Cool Water from Berts is great too (just don't soap it with a 50/50 discount... I had it darn near seize on me but with full water it's managable).
  3. That's exactly why I switched alot of my products over to BC a long time ago! Even though they're MUCH farther away from me, they have always had the cheapest shipping of all my suppliers. It's always made me wonder why....I don't know all the reasons but I do know me ordering from BCN is always MUCH cheaper on shipping than WSP!
  4. Just another update ~ I just got an email back from Debbie May and she's actually looking in to this alot more now. She's currently going through my past orders to see (or show me) how this should save me money. If in deed it will, I will retract all I've said however when everything gets factored in, I still think this is only saving money for people making small orders. We'll see...
  5. Yup I totally agree!!! And I shared her response because honestly it upset me a little bit that she doens't consider what's wrote on a message board like craftserver to be legidiment. I mean, every now and again yeah you can get a troll on any message board on the internet but what makes her think all these people here aren't her customers just because she doesn't know they're real name. Also, who cares if they aren't customers...should she care about potential customers as well?! JMO on it but I know it irked me that I'm not "important" just because I "jumped on a bandwagon" on a message board. I sent her a pretty lengthy response to this and never heard anything back. Can't imagine why.....
  6. Jody's has a good one but thought it's been sitting in my shop for like a year or so I still haven't played with many fragrances in it. I've switched most of my B&B stuff over to BCN lately. I've had great luck with all their B&B products however they don't have their suspending shower gel any more. I emailed WSP's customer service the link to this thread and got a response back from Debbie May....I'm not really impressed and think I may have found a replacement for everything else I currently had to get from WSP. Here's the response from Debbie May on this thread ~ Hi, Thanks for forwarding the link. I have been following the thread on and off for since another forum member sent me the link earlier this week. I appreciate you also passing it along. I do understand that the decision to make "shipping included in the price" has not been popular with some people on the craftserver forum. Frankly, I have never put a lot of weight into forums because in the past I have found people often "jump on a bandwagon" and when researched we found they were never customers of WSP. I much prefer customers approaching our company directly in an honest manner with their real name, contact information and order history. While we have received a few complaints about the new program we have received overwhelming support for the program. People seem to be genuinely excited to get a handle on their costs to better price their products. Please be assured that I am watching sales very closely and will be prepared to tweak the program if needed. Again, I appreciate and thank you for your feedback. It is only through honest feedback that we can improve the company for all customers. Debbie May Thought ya'll might find that interesting. I emailed back but have not gotten a response. I stand behind what I've said before.... while I did like their products and their previous pricing was OK....their shipping (while they're my closest supplier) has always been much higher than any other suppliers and this is just the straw that breaks the camels back. I still feel as though WSP could care how ALL their customers feel. While I know in this business you can't please everyone, this is a pretty big matter to just ignore the "few" who are upset! IMO anyways.
  7. I also just sent them a link to this thread stating "I thought you might like to see how unhappy your customers are." Hopefully they'll read, pay attention, and listen to us!
  8. I am also NOT happy at all with WSP! I also emailed them and this is the response I got ~ Hello, Thanks for your email and I am sorry but all of our products now have shipping included. I am so sorry but we can't separate out. Thank you, I suggested to them that they offer BOTH prices....one with free shipping and the other without so we could CHOOSE what we wanted! Seems logical to me! If we wanted to pay the higher price on some items because it really would save us on shipping then we could choose that. Obviously they don't like that idea either! My example to them was some of the silicone molds. I know for a fact those used to be $10 each before shipping. These are now $13 each with shipping included. Ummm I'm sorry but I live 3 hours from them and there is NO chance that it would cost $30 in shipping for 10 molds to be shipped to me! I had already switched most of my products I get from them to other suppliers (for those looking for a different packaging supplier Jody's... soapandthings.com has many of the same things WSP has and is almost always cheaper than WSP even before they put the shipping in!) however I'm having trouble finding a supplier for 4 AND 8 oz natural malibu bottles as well as the orrifice reducers. If any one knows of a supplier for these PLEASE share if you can. I recently made several of my fish soaps that I normally would have used WSP's crystal clear for and instead used BCN's clear M&P and honestly the difference wasn't THAT different. Not quite as clear but definetly usable! I actually even colored the ones with BC base with a little blue FD&C and they look great! So I'm switching there for my soap, I also switched my lotion from the goat's milk and honey to the BC's base. I love it MUCH more and it's a whole lot cheaper than the goats milk was even before the shipping included. I hope EVERYONE sends them an email or calls or whatever to complain about this. It's absolutely rediculous and it ticks me off more that they don't even seem to care! I tried putting in some of their new surplus items...one each of each color of the new lip balm tubes (just 1 - 48 count each) and 1 - 48 count each of those new red and green plaid sprayers and with shipping the order total was about $150! I'm sorry but no way in H*LL does it cose $150 for those items with shipping elsewhere. Rediculous! Unless they change things they have lost my business totally ones I find a new supplier for the malibu bottles and the orrifice reducers!
  9. Looks great and I love the looks of the body frosting!!!! I get my VS from BCN as well...never had a problem with it. I've also used WSP's Browning Neutralizer with no issues either. Some soaps still might turn a dark ivory (Pink Sugar from BC is one of them) but it's nothing horrible as if it didn't have the VS. I don't know what I'd do with out it!!!
  10. Everything looks SO great! I can't even pick a fav! GREAT JOB!!!!
  11. My absolute favorite vanilla is BCN Vanilla Bean Supreme...throws like there's no tomorrow....close runner up would be Lonestar's Creamy Vanilla. For an awesome cinnamon try Aroma Haven's Atomic Fireball Cinnamon!
  12. Stella I think you're taking my words and reading them how you want them to be. I'm fully aware of how this wax works, I've been using it for 6 years as a business and for 2 years before that as a hobby. I'm not going to argue this with you. I simply was asking IF anyone else had come across this. It was JUST a question. I'm fully aware of what this was entails to create a great product. I know what I'm experiencing with this wax is not normal. Obviously I didn't explain it well enough for someone who hasn't encountered it to understand. I will figure this out with the manuf. myself...just thought it was worth asking if anyone else had encountered it. Please do not speak to me as if I have no idea what I'm doing/talking about. I think it's rather rude and I refuse to endulge you in any arguments over it. Seems that's all you're after.
  13. I have have played with this wax over the years so many ways melting it as high as 200 and as low as 150. Pouring from 100 to immedietly after stirring in fragrances all year long and the only thing I've ever gotten to work for me to get rid of the air bubbles is to stir very slowly, and to tap like the dickens after stirring, after letting it set, and also after pouring. That's what I mean about "quark".... it's something to deal with. It's not just a heat up mix and pour wax for me. This is still not normal. It's as if the wax is drying out where the new "issue" is setting itself in place. I'm just going to call Elevance today since I've received no emails back from them. Thanks for all the help and input.
  14. I'll take a pic of one of what it's doing tomorrow (if I can remember to take my camera to the store) to show ya'll what it's doing to me. I have a hard time this has anything to do with how I'm preparing or pouring considering I've used thhis wax for going on 6 years and never encountered this. This is like air bubbles on steroids and not on the tops. It's on the sides of the containers and once the candle is being burned they rise up and create all the "soapy" looking bubbles on top. I did figure out what was causing the huge flames. I had gotten some ECO wicks from CS instead of my norm BC and have linked the problem to the different suppliers and where they're having their wicks manuf. at. Once I put BC's back in the wax they've performed the same as always (thank god!) This is very frustrating because I never had this issue before they switched manuf. Air bubbles and frosting have always been a squark of C-3 which I've always just delt with because the throw far outways it...but these are not even close to sellable. I'll try to remember to take my camera with me tomorrow and get a pic of what it's doing. Thanks for the input! These cases were from July (that's when I ordered them anyways) and I'm going to have to reorder soon.... I was just hoping this wasn't still going on and that maybe I had gotten some of the old stuff that was being discussed. I've almost gotten through it all so I will be happy go lucky if the new wax I order goes right back to the normal annoying air bubbles and regular frosting. LOL
  15. Ok I hate to bump up an old thread again but I'm still having problems only the air bubbles have gotten way worse! I forgot about the heat gun in the pour pot idea so I will try that before totally exausting all efforts but I ordered 14 cases from CS and I have 3 cases left and I've been dealing with this from all cases used so far. I did contact Elevance and am waiting to hear back from them. Just wondering if anyone is still having an issue? The lot number on the 3 cases I have left are LB05. I'm getting just as someone else described about the foam hardening just like normal wax. I can heat the sides of the jars and watch the air bubbles shoot up to the top. If it's not too bad I can save the candle but the ones that are really bad the more I heat it, the more air bubbles that show up (seems like there's more trapped in the middle than on the sides). I pretty much told them that if this issue isn't going to be fixed I'm going to be forced to switch to something else eventually. I can get by with normal frosting but this is much worse than typical frosting issues.
  16. Absolutely beautiful Barbara!!!!!! I just LOVE seeing your swirls! You rock!
  17. Oh that's a good idea! I kept thinking I needed to find small enough baskets but never thought to just get some sort of a canister to put them in! THANK YOU! I've had these labeled and ready for sale at the store for about a week now and haven't been able to put them out because of this so I really appreciate you sharing this idea! Thanks!
  18. Does anyone have a good idea for displaying the 8ml misters? Also the standard roll on bottles for the roll on perfumes? I have these all made up and ready for sale and I'm not sure what's the best way to display them since they're so tipsy. Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  19. I just played with your original pic really quick (hope you don't mind). I use photoshop elements which I picked up on ebay for like $50. I love photoshop because I think it's very user friendly and can do pretty much anything you need to do in photography. All I did was added a screen layer, removed your color cast, adjusted your white balance, and bumped up your contrast a bit. I use all shades of colors in photography and find they're all easy to edit for me in photoshop. When removing a photo from it's original background it is a bit easier to do it on a colored background if what you're removing is more on the white side. The only thing I'd suggest to you is to move the candle around a bit so you don't get the shadow you have behind. What kind of light box did you make? If you're able to (and haven't already) try attaching a light on the top. Also, (again if you're not already) try getting some 6100k Daylight bulbs. These will give more of a nice bright white light. You can also check your cameras settings to see if you have a daylight white balance to use with the 6100k bulbs. Anyways, I just spent like 2 minutes on the pics so nothing spectacular... If it were my photo I would crop it down a bit to get rid of the blue glow on the left side as well.
  20. Absolutely stunning Barbara! You never dissapoint me when I open up a thread with some of your creations! GREAT JOB!
  21. Thank you! :smiley2: I hope one day I can master the swirls in a slab mold like some of you! It takes a whole lot more creativety that I have in me right now! LOL
  22. Oh that looks so nice! Love the color combo and I agree, the look of it sure does make up for the lack of f/o!
  23. Still working on perfecting the swirls on the top of my slab mold but this scent so far is amazing! I hope it holds up, saw a couple reviews that said it faded a bit after curing but man I find it hard to believe that this is going to fade too much, but then again in the world of CP anything is possible. LOL
  24. Thanks everyone! The scent never really has come back. There's scent there but is seems all the blackberry is gone and all I have left to sniff is the sage. Bummer! I bought some plain blackberry that I'm going to try and blend in and see if that will help. I'm just head over heals for this f/o and it's been a great seller for me thus far in candles and lotion. Really want the soap to match!
  25. Never had an issue with any staining on anything (bathtub/wash cloth) with any soap I've ever made. I always use the same amount of mica. Also always have nice white bubbles which is what I was taught is what to watch for to determine whether or not there's too much colorant used. Maybe I've just been lucky with the micas I've used. I only use TKB POP, BC's and Coastal Scents.
