I have Citrus Strawberry from Nature's Garden. It is fruity, but musky/woody. It is very usual, IMO. I plan on trying it in wax, diffuser base and crystal potpourri.

I bought 1/2 oz Leather from Wellington and it smelled like new car/chemicals, to me.

I have only seen those 1/2 lb (8 oz) to 1 lb (16 oz)decorative tins people use for favors, etc. Since I wanted to sell 4 oz or 6 oz tins, I just passed over them. http://www.atlanticsales.com/tins.htm You would have to test them to be sure that they are candle-safe... or perhaps you could use them for decorative packaging. I burned an older tester and it caught up from the last burn (but there was a noticable "film" on the glass), but when I burned it tonight, it tunneled a bit. Grr! And the mushrooming! I can't stop the mushrooms from coming (some are bigger than others). Not happy-making.

I like the originality of #1, but the font could be better. Can you not use the font from your site?

I liked the Summer Orange Flower OOB and planned to mix it with another floral or fruit. Haven't tried it in wax yet.

Fillmore is actually the people who were going to charge me $8 for one jar (without a top). But I did appreciate the quick response to my request/questions.

OMG, I am sorry this happened to you. I just did a sample request from them (and appreciated the shipping for four jars instead of the one company that wanted to charge me $8 for one) and I got everything, as promised. I also got a follow up call from them, asking if everything was satisfactory and if I needed help placing an order or when would I want to place one (they even asked where I was in my testing, how long had I been making candles and if it was for business or pleasure). I was really impressed.

Hi Antonia These jars are what was left in my old tureens. I used the wax from those after reading here that you can test various wicks using the same wax (melting the wax down and using new wick). It was also mentioned that I should try a straight-sided jar(s), so I just poured the wax in there (was using the sample method of seeing if the wick gave a FMP before doing a complete burn test). In all of my testers (3 scents) I used 1 oz per lb. So I guess I should not be concerned if there is no FMP on the first burn? If that is the case, what about the mushrooming? As you can see, it is really bad in some (and a few of those also burned to fast/hot). Thanks for the response. I am just so confused as to what I am looking for and if I am on the right track. So much information and I feel like I am getting none of it right (except for the reduced frosting part).

Testing Update: So, I remelted my testers, rewicked my jars (tried straight jars instead of the tureens) and waiting 24 hrs. I will have to try CSci's base now. I have tried WSP and NG and I did not get good results (but then, I only tried them once). Plus, I did not know about the VOC compliance in my state, so I have to research this with the other bases, as well.
