  1. oooooh, please let me know how it turns out and what company you order your pink sugar from! The one I used just doesn't work. I can't wait!!!
  2. Plumeria is very similar. I could be wrong, but it seems that is what they were going for???
  3. I love it, and your pictures are *beautiful* I Bet a blast to make
  4. sorry for the crappy Image. This was a tough one to make. A little grainy on the top, but who cares! smell like christmas tree, apple cider, cinnamon, ginger. yum! Thanks for looking
  5. ah ha, this gives ME a better perspective. I am thinking back to the drawing boards soon.
  6. WOW, that is eye opening! But, I have let customers go (in another business) that would NOT conform to my ways. Hmm....it still does not make sense to me NOT to order from a company, based on their name. Look at the Beatles, odd name and most succesful band ever. IMO
  7. probably not! It is over heating before my very eyes, just sitting on the counter exposed. stuck it in the freezer, geesh, what a nightmare!
  8. Just made a batch with wassail fragrance. The bugger turned the soap bright red and tried to separate It was holding on by a thin thread. It made the soap look a little "grainy" I had to keep stirring. I hope my swirls turn out. Because this scent is amazing! My house smells awesome Oh man, the waiting game is going to kill me!
  9. Don't be sorry! I NEED honest feedback! When I started my cleaning business. It took my five minutes to come up with a name: Naturally Polished. Easy peasy. This, however, is really giving me a headache. I have had a jewelry website, powder blue, but ended up hating that as well. I don't know why this is so hard for me I will be incorporating my jewelry into the site, so I need a brand name that works duely. I appreciate all of your responses!
  10. haha, my friend just said the same thing about the manly scents. Ya, I need to sit on it for a while. I am the type that likes off the wall names, but since not everyone is like that, it makes the name search difficult....that is why I am starting now
  11. in the www.com portion, and do you mean like a tag line?
  12. No it is 75-25. 75% new. But that is hp, not sure about cp
  13. I could be wrong, but isn't there a 70-30 rebatch ratio. Pretty sure there is for hp.
  14. I am no where near starting up. But, I found a name that I love. I registered the domain, Just in case it wasn't available if I decide to use it. So, what do you all think of: Valiant August I Love the meaning behind the words. But, my husbands argument is that it doesn't describe my products. My argument is that I make other products besides B&B, so I would not want something generic like kari's soap shop. My friends argument is valiant sounds too masculine, but I think nice loopy lettering would girl it up. Input?
  15. Kathy millers site is amazing! So girl, We are going to start small......PICK A RECIPE, now make a mold or buy one that can hold the volume of your recipe. You do not want your soap to be at the rim, nor do you want it to be 1/2 way down. Think of making a really GOOD cake. Purchase your oils, and in the meantime buy all of your safety gear. All utensils should be plastic, stainless steel, or silicone. At once, you have everything you need! Why buy so many books? I have only purchased 1 in 12 years. Don't worry about abreviations, terms or discounts, right now. Ash is the least of your worries. Trace... when you start making cp or hp, for that matter, you will recognize it I will be happy to help you more as I am sure many will... good luck lady B
  16. AND when in doubt about a stainless looking product, take a magnet to it, true stainless is not magnetic.
  17. all the fun things to do with soap! Wow, you must be talented, typing And washing at the same time, go girl! LOL
  18. Oh and I must say thank you thank you thank you ALL!
  19. No, I am doing a technique that I don't know if I made up or not???? But, I am just not ready to give up my secret. Sorry folks, don't shoooooot! Maybe I will someday, but until then, I will gladly share my swirl pictures I have got to send stella a bar!
  20. LOL, stella! I am just dying here, I pictured a person in the tub with crazy googly eyes "mmm soap mmm soap" hauled off to the crazy house!
  21. I only live about an hour away from them, you should see their property, amazing! Be really careful with a lot of them, they can be toxic tho! and I am not sure if they list that.......ions ago, they did not. Have fun ordering! Kari
  22. It is: sparkling orange, lemon, linen, violet jasmine and mimosa, amber and sheer wood and a musky side. I can smell more of the orange and mimosa, but it is suttle, you can tell there are many other notes in it. smells great, I will use this again
  23. Ya it does I love it when I can get the feathering in the swirls. It is hit or miss tho. Thanks!
