  1. Thats good to know about Alabasters. I had a conversation with Daryn about attending one of his classes and he seemed like a nice guy. I LIKE doing business with NICE people! So two votes for Alabasters, and one for Just Scents Ultimate Vanilla:highfive:
  2. I went to the doctor last week and we got into a discussion about candles. ( why not huh?, maybe a potential client? ) I told him that I would make him one and asked what his favorite scent was.....surprise, VANILLA! I have so many FOs, it is ridiculous, but no plain Vanilla! ( Southern Vanilla, Vanilla Lace, Vanilla Extract, Warm Vanilla Sugar and that is just the beginning of the FOs that have Vanilla in them ) I want this candle to be really great with a strong good quality vanilla. I have heard that JS Ultimate Vanilla is a winner and it looks like I am going to have to order one, so what does everyone think? Is this the best for a PLAIN VANILLA? What a boring doctor huh? Maybe I will toss in a nice Vanilla Sandalwood to try and expand his preferences just a little! TIA for any suggestions on Vanilla. ( I have never even had a Vanilla candle) _________________ Michael ( am posting this everywhere! I need some guidance with this one LOL )
  3. Still searching. I couldn't find one I like on it's on so I started mixing them.....got WAY off into soy and back again. Not sure there is a "perfect" one out there. I think you have to "pick your battles" and decide on what the most important characteristics are to you. I know, not such a great answer. Sorry Michael
  4. Kristine, SPA is a FO ( and a blend ) from Candlewic...I apologize! I reread your post and see that you want EO's only ( which in my opinion creates some challenges ) HTH M
  5. Not crazy about the company, but " Spa" from Candlewic is just right. "Relaxation" from Taylored Concepts was a winner with our Estheticians.
  6. I love FOs in Scent Rings for light bulbs, and in the Lampe Bergeres and Shelf Paper
  7. Sage and Citrus kinda "grows" on ya. The very best I have found is without a doubt WYW. I have tried several others also and there is just NO comparison. Yankme made the S & C popular, I think, so it had been requested a few times when I started my search. I can have four different S&C side by side, and even though all similar, the WYW is always the favorite of people that know and love the scent.
  8. I have some really awesome masculine FOs but it would require you trying someone else for the scents I am thinking about only because I am not sure what the same would be with the suppliers you mentioned.. I would suggest that you look for the following: Most men like the woods fragrances, even if it is just the basenote. Patchouli, Amber, Sandalwood. ( Even men that say they dont like these as stand alones, usually like them in a blend ) The Ocean/Rain FOs work sometimes, as do the Musks. I would stay away from the florals and the essential-oil type FOs ( they say they stink LOL ). I have had ( believe it or not ) most of the guys shy away from the Bakery scents if they are buying for themselves ,but if their girlfriends or wives are buying for them ,they always say " My guy LOVES the Creme Brulee', etc etc" Honestly I think it really is the ladies that like the Bakery scents. Men like to eat them but as one guy said, Why the hell would I want to smell something that AINT in the oven! " LOL I have noticed also that the guys pick up the black, brown, gray, olive and darker shade candles whereas the ladies try the brighter colored candles, new colors and white. Color does make a difference if guys are purchasing for themselves. Odd huh? ??Remember that National test that concluded that Lavendar and Pumpkin Pie were the top two FOs for men with the group they tested, SO, that blows my client base out of the water...LOL:lipsrseal HTH
  9. Indesent?? Where are ya ?? I think that Tess was in the Beaumont area if I am not mistaken and had to evacuate for awhile. I could be wrong about that.
  10. If I were them, I would NOT be comparing J225 to 4630 I would say that the jury on 4630 is about 50% dead sure that it is a "smoker" and "locks up" fragrance...nice and easy to work with but NOT a thrower
  11. I am in Texas and havent heard of anything like that. Sorry:sad2:
  12. I am getting excited about this. Guess it doesnt take much for me!
  13. Well, this is my first swap, AND my first Votives. To be perfectly honest, I just did it for the fun of it. I didn't really expect to get any "revelations" from sending mine in, and kinda expect people to say " Awww, poor thing, well at least he tried"
  14. Is it like written in Stone that the consumers buy Christmas scents more than the other scents during the holiday season? I know it is not about what I like, and is what the customer likes but I just can't find any Christmas FOs I like. You would think if they were buying candles for gifts, that any scent would be fine. If they are buying them to decorate their homes during the season, I understand them wanting the yuk-o Christmas scents. I mean who wants a candle for a gift that smells like a cheap Pine Tree in a Texico Bathroom after December is over with? Oh I know...I am WAY off base on this one:rolleyes2
  15. "Come to my house and see." Now is that anyway to talk about someone who has invited you into her home? Shame on you!
  16. Black and Whites are my favorites. I think that these look really nice!
  17. Sorry to hear about more drops. Ashlie, Could you please post their names and addresses for those of us that included them in the count, so that we could burn crosses on their lawns? JUST KIDDING! I have no doubt that they had reasons beyond their control. Last minute dropping out policy: ( All untouched photos dipicting uncontrolable bleeding of their hands, personally occupied hospital beds, "Closed due to wax shortage" on their supplier's door, or obituaries with their own given name will be accepted) Any and all other reasons for opting out of our nice fall swap will be considered to be frivilous and will warrant compensation by sending their first born child. Just having fun:p ...NO GETTING HUFFY:rolleyes2 ......sorry you can't join us this time, maybe you will be able to the next time around.
