  1. I would ignore her from here on out until fedex completes the investigation. Keep her emails etc. in the meantime. You have proof it was delivered and this is fedex's problem now. You tried to refund her money and have proof of that also and she sent it back. (what does she mean by returning it to her account? She's a DIP! That's what you did!) Now if this customer was super nice and was a regular of mine I would probably send another out asap or put a credit on her account for the amount she paid to save myself on shipping since it was marked delivered. However, this lady is ignorant and rude so I would do no such thing. Is she really serious that she wants you to drive to TX to give her a cash refund, what an idiot! That's the weirdest one I've heard in a while! I think some people just like stirring the pot and getting a rise out of people. I think that's what she's trying to do. Keep us updated!
  2. Daystar! It's called lemon sugar cookies.
  3. BCN closeout blueberry cobbler, BCN Melonade, BCN Tomato Leaf, BCN Country Berry Hotcakes, BCN Verbena Berry, JS Chestnuts & Brown Sugar, NG Blueberry Muffins, KY Midnight Pomegranate, KY Creme Brulee, BCN BNL's Orchid Tea, BCN BNL's Buttermilk Pancakes off the top of my head.
  4. I made the mistake of ordering all my supplies before the forms came back to me. So, before I got paid. Well, by the time the forms got back to me I had spent an equal amount on supplies as what I got paid. In the end I came out ahead but for all that work I'd like to see a profit right away KWIM? From now on I order my supplies when the final count comes in, that way I don't have a ton extra. I also poured 2 cases each to get started and the scents I thought would sell well didn't. Then I spent the next 6 months trying to get rid of the extras. Limit to just a few scents. I did 10 or 12 and it was too much! Make sure you have 4 quart pour pots, it'll make your life easier:) Good luck!
  5. I have this one and it's fabulous and super strong in soy
  6. I know mine don't last that long, even Yankee doesn't claim that. I think they say theirs last 8 hours? I can still smell mine the next day but they aren't nearly as strong and I use 1.5oz. of fo per lb for tarts. I think that's pretty standard.
  7. I don't think this is possible if you "just let it go" for 5-7 days. Maybe if you only burned it for 2 hours a day? I have rare scents that would last that long doing that but definitely not every one.
  8. Are you saying that your tarts scent lasts 5-7 days?
  9. Trapp, BCN's Mulled Cider smells exactly the same. I don't think you'll find anything closer and I don't think anyone will be able to tell the difference. Great throw on both.
  10. Semblance Soaps Etc. I like Semblance Soaps and Gifts from pp too.
  11. I thought I'd chime in here and tell about my experience with ICS also. Last year I had a fundraiser I was doing and one of my scents was Apple Brown Betty from ICS. Totally fab oil by the way. I didn't have many orders from the fundraiser for this and only had to order 1 lb. I recieved the bottle and smelled it only to find out it smelled exactly like Eggnog! No apple smell at all and I emailed Kathy to let her know. She would take no responsiblity for it and told me there was no way the oils could have gotten mixed up. She wanted me to send an ounce of the bottle back to her so she coould tell what the problem was. I did not have time for that since I needed to fill my fundraiser order and told her so. We emailed back and forth several times and she never offered to send me a replacement. Long story short I ended up paying for the replacement and using the current bottle as eggnog. I had to ask her to pay the shipping cost for the replacement. I had no choice but to order a replacement because of the fundraiser. I no longer order from there because I think this is very poor customer service and I would personally never treat a customer this way. When my current stash of apple brown betty is gone I'll DC it and be done with it. I had always heard good things about ICS and personally have always had good CS from them until I had a problem. That's when you find out how the CS really is IMO.
  12. Yes, CS is candle science. BC's Banana Cream Pie in the CO section is awesome in soy. I use BCS's Cinnamon Buns and BCN's Cinnamon Toast mixed for a great Cinn Buns.
  13. MC's Christmas Splendor rocks in soy, blow you out of the house strong! I detect a lot of spice.
  14. Verbena Berry from BCN and Itty Bitty Bikini from JS
  15. I get mine at sams and they work fine. I get them by the plastic cups/silverware etc. They aren't polypro but as long as you don't make up thousands of extras you'll be fine. I haven't had problems with them getting gooey at all, certain scents will make the cup crack after a couple of months though. Very handy and way cheaper than clamshells!
  16. Thanks for all the replies! I will not offer free samples at any point. Tarts are cheap and cheap to ship, if someone wants to try out different scents they can order the scent in tarts. I have low flat rate shipping also so how much easier can it get? If you start offering free samples then the word gets around and all of the sudden your bombarded will free sample orders and that cuts in to your production time for your regular orders. Time is money and my time is worth a lot, especially this time of year when we're in our busy season. I gladly send out a couple of free tarts with every order in new scents or scents that I think the customer would like. It's sort of a "thank you, I appreciate your business" thing. Free samples with no order? No way. Customers are upset when their favorite companies go out of business because of the economy but are always expecting something for free, special treatment or a discount especially for them. I don't think they realize that free samples are not "free" to us. I also don't think that people realize that most of us are doing this because we enjoy it and aren't necessarily making too much of a profit while working more hours than a regular job. I don't know about you, but I'm not profiting $40,00 a year like I was as a nurse. Then again Im not working 12 hour night shifts anymore either
  17. Thanks Scented, I thought they probably weren't...
  18. Does anyone know if they're sweetened?
  19. I've gotten several, including the one from the infamous Christie Amato:p . Today I got another one through my store contact form. I told her she was more than welcome to try my tarts as they were inexpensive and a good way to try out scents. Are people just looking for cheap Christmas gifts or what?!
  20. I just got this one again 2 weeks ago and sent her a nasty email to not even bother copying and pasting the same email to everyone because we already know who she is:) She's been doing this for a long time! No freebies for you!
  21. vanilla bean cookies smells the same as vanilla bean noel. Sorry I can't help you with the others...
  22. BCN's BNL Cookie Jar smells like oatmeal raisin cookies. Don't know if you order from there but it has a great throw. Here's the description: BNL Cookie Jar Wow! This one is a winner. You can smell the icing, the cinnamon, and the molasses, the sweetness of raisins with a hint of brown sugar. We're not sure what this cookie is exactly, but it's definitely wonderful!! One of our best sellers! What are you waiting for? Ya gotta try this one!
