  1. Yay that you're coming to ISOCAN!! You should participate in one of the swaps- or at least bring some goodies and just swap with me!
  2. Thank you thank you!!!!!!!! I have everything I need to make them!
  3. Anybody know how to make the little fizzy tablets that color the bath water in the tub for kids? Preferably without coloring the kids too?
  4. I love the foil packets. I get mine from Kangaroo Blue. I use them for lotion samples, and I like that they are flat. I can put one in a brochure when I hand them out.
  5. I haven't seen daisies with reed stems, but I have seen carnations at Wooden Rose Company. Hmm, just looked at their site again and they may not carry carnations anymore, but they do have daisies now! I'd contact them and ask. Ask about the carnations too- they might still carry them. http://www.thewoodenrosecompany.com
  6. Yay!!!!!! I'll be there! http://ilsoapers.blogspot.com/2008/03/form.html
  7. Please be very careful and do lots of research before you use any EOs on pets- especially cats. EOs can be extremely toxic to cats- including lavender. You're very lucky that you didn't end up in the vet ER with your kitty! Looks like they are redoing their site, but here's a place to start reading: http://www.thelavendercat.com/3201/index.html
  8. Scented- are those cut & curl candles? I'm a B&B girl so I'm trying to remember... Although I'd love to see any of the demos you mention- sounds very cool! And you're welcome! We'll have to introduce ourselves at the conference- I love putting faces -and real names, for that matter! lol- to CT names.
  9. LOL We just had a volunteer meeting, so I know she's working frantically on getting the info ready to post! She has some stuff lined up already, and more in the works. Email her with any suggestions on what you'd like to see, too- she's trying to determine what people are wanting to see! The email address is on KB's site.
  10. The Chicago conference (ISOCAN) is confirmed for Sat August 16! Kitty posted on the ISOCAN blog: http://ilsoapers.blogspot.com/
  11. Scented- I talked with Kitty last weekend, and she said tentative date is mid-August - I think she said Aug 16 - but she's finalizing the date and venue this weekend. She's letting the volunteers know as soon as she finds out, so I'll post again as soon as I hear anything from her! Kimberly- Did you go last year? This is a totally new conference run by Kitty Cunningham from Kangaroo Blue. She did a great job last year- very organized.
  12. The original Chicago conference last year got cancelled. Then Kitty from Kangaroo Blue did a FANTASTIC job of organizing and throwing a kick-butt new conference all in a unbelievable amount of time- only 2 months! I was a volunteer last year and Kitty was a pleasure to work with. We had one of the best goodie bags I've gotten at a conference, too! http://ilsoapers.blogspot.com/ And good news- from the site it looks like there IS going to be a conference again this year! And it does say it's a non-profit conference. So my vote is to come to Chicago!
  13. http://www.kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=5_99 I love their black malibus. These are great for shower gel, too! http://www.kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=321
  14. I use Photoshop to add watermarks. You can also do tricky things like manipulating a few specific pixels, where they would be really un-noticable, but you would know what to look for to prove they were your pictures. You can create photoshop actions to do these tasks, and just run the action on however many images you want. Smart idea!! :highfive: That will actually confuse a lot of people.
  15. Got another question for you! How do you handle different options like different color and FO options? I want to be able to do something like- a batch a soap recipe 1 requires x amount of oil A, x amount of oil B, then x amount of a fragrance oil, but I'll specify which one when I make it. I hope this makes sense....
  16. Ugh-I keep getting an error and it won't let me back into the software. I uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked again for awhile- then kaput! I'll contact their tech support and see if they can help me. It appears that I can incorporate the software with my customwebsite- that would be awesome.
  17. I downloaded the demo and it does seem pretty good!
  18. Never mind about where to buy it, found the version on ebay. Still would love to know if the "trackable assemblies" part handles the raw material/etc part, though!
  19. Where did you buy it for $45? I have wanted quickbooks premier for ages to be able to inventory raw goods as well as finished products- and be able to say what raw goods are in a finished product! I am hoping that's what you mean by "trackable assemblies". I haven't been able to afford the huge price tag of quickbooks so I've been struggling along!
  20. Thank you so much! I have the standard iron on paper, so I'll make some tomorrow. My niece turned 16 this year and is getting an almost-new car for Christmas from her grandparents (lucky!!!), so I got the idea to make her some custom car air fresheners... lame I know compared to the actual CAR... but this is more in my budget... LOL Thanks again!
  21. Not sure where to post this- please move if it's in the wrong place! I want to make some custom air fresheners for last minute Christmas gifts- customized with text and photos. They are for family, so I won't be selling them. I have some of the cardboard air freshener blanks to use, but am not sure exactly what to do to get the photos on them. I have some sheets of iron-on paper that's used for fabrics- the avery brand. Will these work? I've found discussions of making these with iron on paper, just don't know if it's the same kind. I also have some sheets of water slide decals, but I don't see these working as it needs water. In a pinch, I was thinking of just printing on paper and glueing it on, but I don't know if it'll even stick. Help! I'd like to make these later tonight or tomorrow morning.
  22. Try indie beauty network: http://www.indiebeauty.com/channel-ibnyou/insurance.asp
  23. Baby wipes work great too, if the bowl is still warm. I've also warmed up the baby wipes a little bit too sometimes. Baby wipes work great for small spills and drips of oils, butters, etc and just general clean up, too. I don't have any kids but buy baby wipes by the case.
