  1. For those of you that use Chestnuts and brown sugar, is that the name you use or do you change it, and, if you change it, do you mind sharing your name? Also, what color would you use with this one--maybe a warm brown? Thanks!!
  2. This is probably a dumb question, but is the coconut oil the liquid or the solid one? Thanks:)
  3. Wish I could say I've ordered from Mr. Missy's before, but I haven't. I sent Steve at the Candlemaker's Store an e-mail today and am waiting to hear from him. Thanks everybody!
  4. Thanks everybody! I do have some samples from the Candlemaker's store and Candlewic, but they look different than these. I'm going to dig out the credit card statements next. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll let ya'll know what I find. RW
  5. Nope, nothing like that. I have some from Candlewic, but these scents are different than what's on their website. Thanks for the help!
  6. OK, evidently I ordered some sample scents about 4 to 6 months ago from a supplier I don't normally use and I can't find the receipt and it's not in my e-mails. The supplier's name isn't on the 1 oz. bottles and I am stumped as to where they are from. The 1 oz. bottles are white with white lids, the name of the scent is in large black letters and I ordered the following scents: coffee caramel cream Christmas apple brown sugar cinnamon wassail (misspelled on the bottle--wassel) yultide orange gingerbread cherry almond spiced sugar plum irresistible apple I checked the fragrance finder and I don't think this supplier is listed. Is there anybody out there that can be of some assistance or direct me somewhere other than the fragrance finder to figure this out. I can't believe I did this. :embarasse Thanks to anyone with any good ideas. RW
  7. What kind of thermometer do you guys use--a thermometer that you stick down into the wax or what? I have a turkey melter that I bought last year to use, but I haven't yet because the thermometers I use won't clip to the side, and the ones I've seen at the stores would have to be in the turkey melter. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  8. I know I'm probably having a "goober" moment, but who is CMS? Thanks!
  9. I really like Tennessee Candle Supply's version. Strong and true. HTH
  10. Thanks, I'm going there now to register!!
  11. The clam shells seem easier and less time-consuming to make than the tarts, but which ones sell the best for you? Also, do you use the same markup on them as you do container candles? Thanks!!
  12. Thanks for the site info! I went to both sites and have a couple of questions. Do you have to sign up at candlewarmers.com to get a wholesale price? I'm assuming the prices I saw were retail, but I'm not sure. Also, how much of a markup is standard (if there is a standard) to resell the warmers?
  13. OK, I've only done container candles for my customers and am now considering doing the clamshells. I've poured a few for testing. Now, my questions: 1. If you sell clamshells, I would assume you also need to sell the warmers, too. 2. Where are some good places to get basic warmers to sell (not seasonal, but mainly solid colors and white or off-white) Just jump on in here because I am completely open to suggestions since this is somewhat new territory for me. Thank you all for your help!
  14. I tried it several years ago when it was still Tony's and it's basically a nice peach-magnolia-raspberry, if I remember correctly. HTH:)
  15. Maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't find the cherry almond on her website. Is it listed under another name? thanks so much:)
  16. I just love this scent, but every one I try changes or is weak when burning in my container candle. Does anybody have a recommendation for one that smells like the Jergen's original but doesn't change or get weaker when burning? Thanks:)
  17. Genwax has the most realistic one I've tried. (Thanks ChrisR for suggesting it!). It's strong and doesn't change when burning. I use a paraffin/soy blend. HTH
  18. Ah-soy, I have some of this but haven't tried it yet. Do you mind if I ask how much coconut oil you are adding per pound of the 9900? Thanks!
  19. LOL, I am the same way. I have never drank coffee, but absolutely love the smell of them, so I carry 4 different ones in my line. BTW, Starbuck's coffee ice cream with dark chocolate chunks is awesome!
  20. You are most welcome--I burn those 2 together in my home all through the holidays. If I had to add a couple more fos to my "Christmas" list, it would be orange clove (Millcreek) and Sugared Spruce (Aztec).
  21. WillowBoo, how much palm stearic did you add to your 3.5 pounds of 6006/4794? Just curious as I've never tried the palm stearic.
  22. The CBL-129 worked well, but I didn't like the translucent look so I added some J-50 (or whatever it's called now). I also tested the 3032 and really liked it, too (along with the J-50 for a creamy look).
  23. If you could name the quintessential scent (or two or three. . . .) that describes Christmas when you smell it, (or when someone walks into your home and you want them to smell "Christmas"), what would it/they be? I personally love cranberry orange from JS and spruce Christmas tree from Peaks.
  24. Sorry, I've been sick for the past 3 weeks. I did order some ingredients and plan on trying to make them this next weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed. I do have nice candle jars if I have to make it into fizzy powder instead of the bath bombs, though, LOL.
