  1. I always find myself back with the first one I ever tried, from WNW. They seem to have 3 now, so I'd suggest getting a sample of each and taking it from there.
  2. Why is everyone jumping SS? She says in her initial post that she'd prefer FOs. She later mentioned she'd found Arnica eo for $10 an ounce. Obviously, she didn't buy it if she's still here wanting and asking for an FO version, although I bet she's tempted to buy it now for whatever swap she's in.
  3. NG's Crystal Blue Waters is incredible in soy. For something saltier, Shaw Mudge's Ocean at Scent Works is great if they still carry it. Garden Eastward's Salty Mariner is good as is Keystone's Salty Sea Air, but I'd only rate them a 2-3 out of 5 in soy. Brambleberry's Beaches and Scented Bean's Jasmine Seaspray are excellent in soy if you don't mind some floral. They seem like the same oil to me. I didn't like SB's Seabreeze, although throws well. Tradewind's Emerald Seas is very strong, if you don't mind risking the bad customer service some have been complaining about. KY's Ocean Mist is also a nice, floral ocean but wick up with this one. I didn't much care for ICS's, myself. Edited to add: TCS's Ocean Rock (I think is the name) is also an excellent oil in soy - great throw and a nice compromise between the salty and more floral scents.
  4. Not Z, but if she has the same version I have from the last IFT co-op offered here, I really like it - it has more of a soapy/sweet/clean vibe and/but softer than either OT's or SW's, which both scream shades of woodstock '69 to me, very heavy on the hippy, gawd, I'm having a flashback, is Nixon still president? type feeling when I smell them. I like IFT's version best, myself, but I'm sure I'm in the minority if you're going for the heavier on the patchouli type stuff.
  5. Kelsei's also makes a great quality mold. My experience with these kind of molds and sticking is that the batches will stick the first few times you use them and then the bars pretty much start popping out with more use. I've heard some say you could pam spray helps. I have one of the larger doright logs and, yup, it bows in the middle if you tighten too much, leaks if you don't. I think it's because he got cheap and uses a thin piece for the bottom. It just doesn't work well with the thicker sides pieces with the longer molds.. I've opted to keep the screws tight and use rubberbands to stop the middle from bowing.
  6. Emerald Seas Christmas Tree Coconut Cream Pie CocoLime All are nice and strong in soy.
  7. Just By Nature's Vanilla Cream. Nice and strong in soy, one of the best I've come across, and the price won't make you gulp. While you're at it, get their Apple Pie.
  8. Hiya Sherri - Candle Soylutions carries it. Edited to add - But I haven't tried it.
  9. BCN has one in their WYW line. It's incredible at under 6% even in soy wax. I've also only sniffed SS's OOB. It's different from the WYW, maybe more vanilla notes, but I liked it too.
  10. scent shack's dutch chocolate or sweetcake's chocolate.
  11. They work very well. That's what I use.
  12. Get a pound of the guavaberry! This is the best true to guava I've come across. The lavendar cucumber sage and vanilla plum also get my votes.
  13. TCS carries a Pineapple Ginger. Good throw in soy but wreaked havoc on my tins, even prepped!
  14. Sounds bad to me, especailly since you have a previous batch to compare it to. The summer heat probably got to it. Heavily vanilla scents are prone to go bad faster than non-vanillas, from what I've seen.
  15. Lonestar's Iced Tea - smells like the BBW which smells like the Lipton or Nestea with lemon mix to me.
  16. Oregon Trails Ole South pumpkin pie. It's very strong and incredible in CP and soy wax.
  17. no problem here, either. I use at 6% as well in soy. Some use less. Another good grpfrt with no fuel is Candle Cacoon's Fairy Dust and Twinkle Toes, I think it's called. I pretty much stopped the grpfrt quest after I found this one.
  18. Aloe - Outstanding and incredibly strong in soy. Smells like colonial home's rain. Definitely worth trying.
  19. Well, I'll be bad and tell you the Rosemary Mint Flickers now carries from Lisa Cannon blows all of them away, including Sweetcakes, IMO, and is reasonably priced.
  20. General Bottle Supply in California carries them.
  21. For 25 lbs, you might want to give Belle Aire a call and get a sample from them. They carry the one Southern Candles had before they stopped selling and it was great.
  22. It's actually very good. It smells like the herb dill and fresh cucumbers, no vinegar. The pizza smells like pizza - quite nice, actually. Beer, well, I'm not fond of that scent anyway. LOL, did she still have the bacon? Smells like liquid smoke.
  23. Ditto and Yikes! I've never had a problem, but don't want to test my luck, either. Sorry this happened to so many. It's a shame because they have (or had) great products.
  24. Southern Scentsations has a great one that is strong in soy.
