  1. I think they have some of the best quality bakery scents available. Their prices and sales are great too.
  2. And that one smells just like KY's Sweet & Creamy to me - dead ringers for sweet condensed milk. So I'm wondering, does the Caramel Clouds also smell like this?
  3. Sherry - IMHO meand in my honest opinion. As for oven process, you CP as normal. Instead of leaving out to cure, you cover it and put it in the oven at the lowest temperature setting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then leave in oven over night or 8-12 hours. By then, the soap should be hard enough to take out of the mold. This method speeds up the cure time.
  4. Hi Lynn! It sure sounds like you need to wick up to me. But you might find the 60 a bit too much. I'd go with a 51 myself, but hey, try a 60 since you don't have 51s. If it's too much, well, at least you'll have a great throw (but break out the potholders for your little firebomb!). Get some 51s next time you order if the 60 is too much. That way you'll be covered for all contingencies
  5. Sweetcakes' Lime Margarita is exceptional in CP. Don't know about candles.
  6. Have you tried your discount or dollar stores? That's where I was able to find them. LOL, worse comes to worse, PM me and I'll mail you some. No reason for you to go without! HTH
  7. Best apricot (their French Apricot) that I've tried to date. I tested a couple others of their fos in soy and they were nice as well (sorry, it's been a while, don't remember which ones). Over all, good quality oils, good customer service, great sales, IMO. Just wish they still shipped USPS. It's been tough going trying to find a replacement apricot. If anyone has tried theirs and knows of one that's similar, please let me know!
  8. Brambleberry's Violet is another one that smells just like it.
  9. Yeah, I really like it. It actually does smell like a nectarine instead of a canned peach. I seem to have accumulated quite a few canned peach FOs:cry2:
  10. In soy wax the lavendar milk seemed pretty strong, from my recollection. I used my oz sampler to 12 oz of C-3. The "milk" mellows out the lavendar. Another worth getting a sample of is the Nectarine and White Tea (I think that's what it's called). This one is lighter in soy, good for maybe a mid sized room, but very much a true, fresh-picked nectarine type scent with a hint of the tea in the background. I'm betting it would be incredible in paraffin and am definitely getting more to find out. Edited to correct name - it's called White Nectarine and Apple Tea
  11. Your post inspired me to light up my WSP Sweet Strawberries (yank dupe) that I recently got. It's incredible after 15 minutes burn - already smelling it down the hallway. More realistic than BCN's strawberry jam, which I also love, if you're looking for more of a straight strawberry. Haven't tried candle science's so can't compare with that one. But WSP's is definitely a winner in straight soy.
  12. In soy these are nice and strong and just the best out there, IMO: whipped cream (could pass as french vanilla) lemon pound cake banana nut bread not as strong but still my favorites: Sugar Cookie or Home Spun Sugar (I say or because they are very similar). Rice flower & Shea - wouldn't recommend, little to no throw in soy.
  13. These are the ones I've been happy with in soy wax. In particular, I tested a lot of watermelons and grapefruits to find just the right ones. Pineapple - BCN's Pineapple Cilantro - I do not smell the cilantro, I think it's there just to enhance the pineapple. Excellent in soy wax. Watermelon - Genwax or Candles & Supplies - very true, great in soy. C&S is the one to get, tho, if you want skin safe. Orange - Orange Slices from Genwax (but I'm not sure they carry it anymore since they downsized their FO line). Grapefruit - Very happy with Candle Cacoon's Fairy Dust and Twinkle Toes - smells like sweet grpfrt to me, great in soy and no fuel.
  14. They don't describe it as such - just what it smells like to me. SS's is incredibly sweet but fruity, not bakery. It's my clan's favorite of the coconut types around here and I've gone on quite a coconut quest over the years. This scent reminds me of BBW's coco cabana but I don't pick up on the strawberry. I just think of pina coladas when I whiff these.
  15. Ditto on Adobes. I just tried Goat Milk Therapy's in soy and it was incredible too.
  16. Holly - The Caribbean Coconut at soapsupplies.net is outstanding in soy wax. WSP's is also great. Both smell more like virgin pina colodas than any that I've tried actually named PC. They're sweeter and more like what I think of pina coloda - opening a frozen concentrate of Bicardi's. HTH
  17. some that are great in soy: Buttery Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Narcissus White Papers I didn't have much luck with their vanillas and pines in soy. I haven't tried the vanilla cookie mentioned above, tho. I recall reading on their site a while back that their recommended usage is 9-12% in wax so you may want to keep that in mind while you're testing.
  18. For BB - Sweetcakes' Chocolate is outstanding For candles (haven't tried in BB): Best Dupe of Hershey's - Lonestar Fudge: JS's Fudge and TC's Buttery Chocolate Brownie: Southern Scentsations. Thier chocolate dipped cherries are outstanding too. White Chocolate - the FOH one mentioned earlier is excellent as well as their Chocolate dipped strawberries and Chocolate Soltice if you like chocolate orange types. Another good chocolate orange - SNC's now at Rustic Genwax also has some great chocolates.
  19. Genwax also carries a New Car scent. You may want to consider getting a leather scent instead, tho. I think that's actually a closer match.
  20. C - Their french apricot is another must try. It's incredible in straight soy and the best apricot I've come across. Thanks for reviews!
  21. Ditto everything so-soy said. Case in point - KY's Ocean - a light oil, wonderful scent, but first ocean type I've ever had to wick up.
  22. My favorites using soy: Baked Apple Pie~Just by Nature Banana Nut Bread~Day Star's Banana Spice Bread. For a straight BNB - BCS. Blueberry Muffins~Bittercreek North for me too (KY's Wildberry Crisp reminds me of this scent on steriods, if you're interested in something similar that's 3x stronger). Buttercream Frosting~Blue Grass Cinnamon Buns~ICS - newer version Gingerbread~WYW available thru BCN - worth every penny! Pumpkin Pie~ Good Ole Steve's at the Candlemaker's Store Spiced Cranberry~Got me on this one. Vanilla Bliss~Just by Nature's Vanilla Cream
  23. Pam, have you tried Candle Cacoon's raspberry cordial? I've never smelt real raspberries, so can't vouch for it being a good straight one, but I know this scent will run you out of the house using soy. HTH
  24. Southern Scentsation's Canteloupe is incredible in soy.
