Depending on the wax that you use, there may be shrinkage... a simple repour to top them off will solve the problem. Also invest in a heatgun or hot air hair dryer to smooth out your tops. HTH Tristan
The coloring is better, but still a bit too large IMO. The tags are nearly the same size at the jars. I'd use a tag that is no more than 40-50% the size of the container you are using...
Do you not know what boxes you are using yet? I'd imagine that 90+ candles will need more than one box, unless you plan on using a 24" x 24" box... to fit them all. You'd probably need a handtruck to move them.
You should be able to plug in the numbers on the websites. Just multiply the weigh of each candle by the amount of candles, and add to that for your packing materials.
The ugly black blobs (mushrooming) doesn't necessarily have to do with the Zinc itself. Too large of a wick, too much FO, and other factors can cause this.
Those are hella cute! I wish they were electric! I've always thought that using a candle to melt tarts was pointless. Skip the middle man and use a votive!
Try using a heat gun to get the large majority of the left over oil out of your pots. Also try the stove/cookie sheet method. If all else fails... there should only be a few drops of wax left over, which really won't effect the outcome of another pour.
