  1. I know I going against the grain on this one(no pun intended), but I make an almond scented bar with almonds in the soap. I run the almonds through the magic bullet so the pieces are super small. I made the batch a year ago and we just used the last bar about a month ago. It was for personal use because I was worried about the nuts going rancid, but that did not happen. My bf has been after me to make him another batch because he loved it so much. No mold, not too rough on the skin, and it did not go rancid. Sheli

  6. I did a swap recently and someone made a bathbomb in pink sugar and it was a nice pink color. So I ask if she used the vanilla stabilizer and she said no her products never turn brown. She used the pink sugar from Backwoods. I never got around to trying it because I dont order from there, but it is on my things to order list.....after i finish getting my supplies for the holiday season. Sheli.

  9. My advice would be go to the websites mentioned above and get to know the ingredients that they offer and what qualities they would bring to your lotion or body butter recipe. Find a basic recipe and tweek it to your liking. That is what I did and after my first try--I thought it turned out good-- I joined a swap on this forum and let my ct friends try it out and the feedback was great. This is the recipe that I have used for the past year. I joined a swap a few months after the first swap and one of the members requested that I make my lotion again. Just remember research, research, research! Sheli

  11. I have never smelled Mele Kalikimaka but NG has a fragrance called Island Christmas......smells really good. Maybe someone who has smelled both can chime in and let yall know if it is the same. Sheli
  12. Yes they like it, I only make them in the winter time because of the humidity......bathbombs and humidity dont get along. Sheli
  13. I have made them with the whipped cp soap it is a little easier to work with than regular cp soap. Sheli

  15. Awesome! Was it hard to get the soap out of the pvc pipe. I bought some a couple of weeks ago but havent tried it yet because I'm afraid that I will have a hard time getting the soap out. Sheli

  22. What a great idea for the kids. My grand kids are coming next week and i think we are gonna make soap.....I dont have any fish but I have plenty of ducks and soap. Thanks for sharing. Sheli
