  1. I use 4630 and only HTP wicks they work well for me. I have to keep them trimmed and have to wick up. The recommended wick size for my jar is htp73 and I have to use htp 93 and I double wick. I have even burning and and a good melt pool. Sheli
  2. Welcome to the club we meet here once a week to discuss our addiction...lol! I love the blue one the color is so bright Sheli
  3. It may have been for just m&p soap. Sheli
  4. Anyone wanting to try the SFIC melt & pour the order from the co-op just came in and she let everyone know that she had extra. Might be a chance to try it out for a reasonable price.
  5. I second the CS Pumpkin Souffle. I have tried many and this is the one that works the best for me and it smells great. I sell it all year long. Sheli
  6. It is a dead on dupe and it rocks cp soap and candles. I have a large open kitchen family room area and it smells the whole area. You wont be sorry. Sheli
  7. Can we see cut pics? That log looks awesome!
  8. I think the ones that float have natrasorb aka tapioca starch in them......not sure but thats my guess. This makes them really lightweight. Sheli
  9. I use the Mediterranean Fig from cs it is one of my best sellers. I have not tried any of the other figs. Violet Lime not so much for me or my customers. I couldn't give it away. Sheli
  10. Most of the batches I make are for layered soap and I always make just one batch. Sometimes I separate the batch in half and sometimes I just take a third of the batch out. I have never run into this problem.......maybe you are getting a false trace? Sheli
  11. They do work well in candles, each oil is tested in soy and paraffin and the results are listed after the description. I just choose not to use them in wax because of the price......you have to use so much more in wax than in b&b products. Sheli
  12. How did you get that nice color? I have been doing bath bombs for years and cant seem to get solid colors they are always have color specks in them. Sheli
  13. I love the vanilla rock & roll, the fishnet pantyhose not so much thats JMO. These are quality oils they are well worth the price. Honeysuckle Patchouli is one of my best sellers and it is a bit on the high side i think its 36$ a pound but it is worth it.......you would never know that there is patchouli in it. I also like the stiletto blonde, blackberry tonka, wood vanilla, iced lemon biscotti just to name a few. Also, because of the price i only use these oils in b&b and soap.......too expensive for candles. Sheli
  14. Peaks did have it at one time......dont know if they still do.
  15. Are you melting your butters and ewax until clear? The first time I made emulsified body butter my butters were liquid but not clear and I had the same problem.......maybe your butters are not hot enough. Hope this helps. Sheli
  16. Try the Oatmeal, Milk and Honey from BCN, I tried this fo from many different places until I found this one I is one of my faves. I also did a swap and used this fo and a lot of the girls loved it. I get my powdered gm from Texas Natural Supply. Sheli
  17. Wow! The colors are very realistic. Those of you who do foodie candles amaze me. The time that must go into doing a candle like that. Great Job!!!!
  18. WOW! Those are great. What scent did you use? Sheli
  19. I second what candlelady said I was also in that swap and the vanilla pound cake was awesome........I still have a little tiny piece left. Sheli
  20. CBE aka Donna suggested that I try Lard in my soap but she warned me that if I overheat the lard that it will have a smell. The last batch I made I added lard to my batch using the cp method. I do not heat my oils I add the lye solution to the hard oils and let them melt and then I add my soft oils......I had no odor from the lye. As for as the smell fading after sometime maybe someone else could chime in with an answer the that question. Hope this helps Sheli
  21. I dont know if you want to go only with soy but KY's para-soy blend for tarts and votives has a very nice smooth finish and an awesome throw.
  22. I dont add any fo or color until the soap is melted. I melt in 30 second bursts and when there is just a few unmelted pieces I stir until melted I dont heat more. If I add butters like shea or cocoa I add it to the unmelted soap. Hope this helps. Sheli
  23. Another one bitten with the soaping bug. Enjoy your new addiction!
