  2. Where do you find this video I have been soaping for over a year and I cant swirl to save my life.....it just turn into a big mess so i gave up on swirling.
  3. I have the ones from brambleberry, but i find that they are not dark enough. So I did some research and found that some use wiltons icing dye so I got some and next batch i will try that. Sheli
  4. I just made it last night but I'm wondering if the same chemical reaction will take place with the extra lye and the added oil?
  5. It is a small batch I was gonna use for chunks in the larger batch. I forgot to add the palm kernel oil now my soap is lye heavy and soft. Is all lost and should I just throw it or can i do a rebatch and add the missing oil....I hate to waste, but if it can't be saved then thats that. TIA Sheli
  6. If you want a Patchouli that smell like EO without the high price go with moonworks it smell like the real thing.

  13. I second what Scented asked, how much did you use? I have been wanting to make pink sugar soap but did not want a brown bar. I use the bcn stabilizer in m&p and it works great. I think i will make some this weekend:yay:. Just like most of the country we will be froze in this weekend. Oh! Beautiful Soap Sheli
  14. I have both the relaxing and the energy from brambleberry and let me tell you they are worth the price.
  15. I have been using soapylove's jewelry box crystal clear colorants from brambleberry in my clear m&p and they work really well. Its a 5 pack that comes with turquoise blue, fiery fuchsia, ruby red, sunshine yellow and sparkle dust(glitter) for about $10. I mix the colors and you dont need much jus a couple of drops.   16. I mix mine with oil that has been reserved from the batch. I don't know about yall but when I gel the colors come out dull and flat, if don't gel the come out bright and POP (get it):laugh2: So when using POP colors I do not gel
  17. Daystar has an awesome orange buttercream latte. It is to die for.
  18. Here is a recipe for a Salt Polishing Bar 4oz soap base 2 teaspoons fine sea salt 1 teaspoon shea butter 2 capsules vitamin E I have to tell you that i have never tried this recipe. If you try it i hope it works for you.
  19. I make lotion and would like to start selling it but i am worried about mold. When I make lotion I start by using clorox wipes to wipe down the area that i am working in. I also boil some water and use this to clean the spoons and i pour the boiling water into the bowls that i will be using. I dry everything with paper towels. Is this sufficient? Do any of you use a sanitizing solution? If so what do you use? Oh! I just want to let ya'll know that I have not had a problem with mold or yuckies I just want to prevent ever having a problem.
