  1. This product seems like an accident waiting to happen....
  2. Saturday I will be at a local fall festival (omg its fall already,...lol) It is supposed to rain but I know some customers said they definitely wanted to buy candles saturday, so Ill set up anyway and just bring a tarp.. right now Im pouring Buttery Gingerbread and Sugar Cookie containers/melts After that I have to do peppermint, pine (ick) Lilac, baby powder, just to name a few.. I should have made these earlier in the week but I was of course procrastinating.. that and I pretty much ran out of wax until my shipment came in yesterday :-) Seems like those 50 pound boxes dont last as long anymore :-P
  3. that puppy is packed with stuff too.. almost didnt get it all in there.. :-) You can barely see the wine glasses... Its supposed to be a "bath luxury" basket.. thanks for the compliments :-)
  4. I sell the square mason and I have had quite a few customers comment on how much better they looked than normal jelly jars :-) But I like the country look.. my biz is named Country Kiddies, so it fits for me :-)
  5. Donated this basket to my town so they can raffle it off. They are getting money and donations together because our town adopted Slidell LA. The list of stuff inside is: 2 bath towels 1 long handled bath brush 2 terry net bath bands 1 4 in 1 Pedicure paddle 2 tubes bath oil beads 2 body massagers 1 gel eye mask 1 loofah 1 bath pouf 2 wine glasses 1 bottle bath wash St Ives Whipped Silk Body Wash (had to buy some of this for myself)..lol 2 large bath fizzies nail brush Lavender Natural Mineral Body Wash foot scrub soothing foot lotion 2 body scrubbers 1 frosted Iris jackel tartburner 2 sets wax clamshell melts 4 tealights 1 vanilla lilac soy candle i large container bath salts. My mom picked out and bought most of the stuff for the basket and I repaid her by giving her candles :-)
  6. I get my potpourri there too. People just love the pumpkin spice one:-) I got the blend with the little putka pods that look like pumpkins :-)
  7. wow those are gorgeous! I hope i get a batch of soap that looks even half as good as that someday ;-)
  8. wow,.. 100 bucks? I think Ill just stick to crooked bars..lol
  9. I wish I could get away with not coloring my soy candles. The people around here would be very unhappy I think :-P
  10. Im trying to decorate my kitchen and living room in sunflowers so I think that bear rocks!
  11. My tealight burners I get from jackel for about 4.50 each and I resell them for 10 each of course the 4.50 does not include ship :-)
  12. I had someone ask about them at my show this weeekend and I said that I hadn't tried them yet. I think they look weird and would just rather use my tartburner or my regular old candles :-P I DID see about a dozen or so people that actually knew what my clamshell melts were for and actually purchased some. I usually dont sell any of those!..lol People around here are getting with the times finally :-)
  13. Not sure where to put this but is there a place online where you can get the incense supplies AND the burners for them? I dont know alot about incense but it seems to be selling well around here so I thought I would give it a try :-)
  14. yeah, I thought that was weird,.. I wonder who told her that? Most container candles do have wicks directly on the bottom and the container should be able to withstand heat,.. otherwise, why would someone pour a candle into it? thanks for the info everyone :-)
  15. I havent made enough CPOP soap to actually add it to my site yet,... :-) but you can see everything else :-) http://www.countrykiddies.com
  16. I had a lady at a candle show ask me "can these be used on a candle warmer?" I guess when she saw the surprised look on my face, she continued to explain that they told her that candles where the wick is directly on the other side of the glass, cannot be used for warmers? My wicks are glued into the bottom, so according to her rules, she could not use it on a warmer. Is this true? Has anyone else heard this?
  17. I try to let my soy candles cure 24 hours but thats about it..:-P
  18. well,.. i really wanted to impress upon them that the cpop was homemade, no harsh detergents etc,.. but i cant really do that if I lump them both in together.. its a weird situation..lol
  19. Ok,.. here is the deal. I still have some MP with botanicals added from the last time I made that.. I also have one batch of new CPOP that I wanted to sell also. I dont want to just get rid of the MP soap, I would try to sell it but I cant put "homemade soap" on the table display when only the CPOP is really homemade? How do I exaplin this to customers? I was thinking of saying "well, this soap is made fram a glycerin base" but I dont want it to sound weird. I have some other MP and I was thinking of making some confetti soap to use some of it up but then again.. I come into that "homemade" vs MP thing again.. I hope this made sense..lol
  20. I have a 3 day show this weeked.. so I am pouring like a woman posessed! I have to do alot of scents.. including rasberry creme, candy corn and cranberry punch (yummy) Last night I did blueberry Muffins, honeysuckle, georgia peach (yummy) and Ocean Mist :-) I wanted to make some mroe cpop soap but lye was nowhere to be found and I ordered some from sarah's. I expected it to be here today so I could make some peach soap but when i look up the tracking number it just says the electronic info was sent to them but it says nothing about the package actually being shipped.. I sure do hope it has been shipped, I want to make some soap soo bad,.. and as it is, I have to wait 3 weeks for it to set up and that means all my shows will be over by the time the soap is done :-(
  21. wow,..very nice! that's your first soap? My first couple pf soaps didnt look nearly as ncie as that..lol it looks and sounds like it would smell just heveanly :-)
  22. I live in Missouri too. Hour and a half north of St. Louis. Not far from the Mississippi River
