  1. I know for fact you're not the only one who does this Don't ask me how I know...
  2. I found these on MMS. Neither has a preservative. I've never used a preservative before, I just make up a handful of salt/oil. How much preservative/what kind would one need to add? Recipe 1: .50 lb fine Sea Salt 3 ounces Colorless Jojoba Oil 1 ounces Sunflower Oil 2 ounces Melt and Pour Soap Base 2 ml fragrance oil Recipe 2: 180 gram white sugar 40 grams brown sugar 90 grams Sunflower Oil 5 grams Liquid Glycerin (not Melt & Pour Soap Base) 10 grams Colorless Jojoba Oil 50 drops fragrance oil
  3. I add ground oatmeal and honey powder to milk powder and don't use a bag.
  4. It took me well over 2-3 weeks to use that tiny sample. I was using it just on my hands. Mine out of the regular size container is certainly not light and airy! It's very thick before I whip it.
  5. We have 3 Super Walmarts in our area. Only ONE carries the canned goat's milk. It's $2 something, I just picked up 6 cans yesterday.
  6. One of my best friends wants me to do a lip balm and a soap in a Cranberry Pomegranate, so I need a flavor oil and a fragrance oil. I've never seen a flavor for this. I thought I saw a fragrance, but don't recall where. She said BBW used to have something like this? And it wasn't Midnight Pomegranate.
  7. I received an ounce of kiwi seeds as a bonus/freebie in an order lately. I have no clue what to do with them. I only do m&p. They seem a bit harsh for soap. Any ideas?
  8. Would this work to leave out the SLSA? I have all the other ingredients...
  9. Here's an article outlining it for horse use: http://www.horseproducts.stablemade.com/_Articles/dmso.htm Strong precautions for the human... I can't believe humans use this. I mean, I know they do, but still.
  10. I have a 1 lb mold and it holds 1 1/2 lbs m&p.
  11. The store bought you listed earlier sure sounds like SFIC ingredients. I'm curious why you'd want to make your own and not just buy it? It's got to be cheaper just to buy the base. Why on earth weren't you wearing gloves?? When I worked at a horse breeding farm, one of the main rules when handling Regumate was the women had to wear gloves since it could mess with your cycles. Just like DMSO through the skin gives you a funny taste in your mouth. Wear gloves.
  12. Has anyone ordered labels from MMS/The Sage? If so, how were they? Is the price decent? I'd be going with one of their layouts.
  13. Bentonite Clay is usually added to MP for extra slip.
  14. I use KY's Soy Whip for a co-worker who gets terribly chapped hands in the winter. He says it's great and now his hands aren't bleeding. I don't add anything to it, but I'm thinking of adding Emu Oil to the next batch for him.
  15. Yeah, I found them mentioned on a natural food store website. They suggested flavoring water with them. I thought lip balms right away Of course, I can't imagine half of those flavors in water.... vanilla creme? dark chocolate? Hmmm...
  16. Jo Ann, is this for MP or CP? I see in one of your other posts you asked about MP. I only do MP and I do wrap in Saran for now, but am looking into some other options. I haven't tried it unwrapped or in a box, but I know there are people on this list who do MP this way.
  17. Has anyone tried flavored Stevia for lip balms? http://www.sweetleaf.com/category.php?subcat=products&subpage=steviaflavors
  18. I keep missing it due to how my payday falls! Paul, you need to do this right after I get paid
  19. I've gotten a bit on my skin (skin safe ones luckily, but still straight oils) and had a nasty taste in my mouth for the next few days. That was with washing it off right away!
  20. I came across this doing a search, photos!! http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23143
  21. Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I absolutely adore this scent. Anyone know of a dupe for it?
