  1. I'm almost at the end of my 2nd gallon, and I've never had one turn colors. I've used heavy vanilla fragrances too...
  2. Hmm... and the dried mint leaves were the only difference? That is strange.... can't think of anything else besides what was already suggested.... possible water contamination/not mixed enough....
  3. Are you sure you used the same amounts of additives in both batches? Just a thought
  4. I'll be testing some new Tony's fragrances for melts
  5. I'm thinking of making some roll on perfumes and saw some nice bottles at Madina. If you do the twisted bottles, where would you put the label?? I guess on the cap, but wouldn't it get messed up with taking it off/putting it back on?
  6. I ordered this one and got it yesterday. Smells great, can't wait to try it this weekend. It does smell very familiar though... a lot like BPAL's Honey Moon from a few years ago...
  7. Maybe I'm just being too picky/OCD about them, then I might get a few just to try it and see how I like it in person. Thanks! Thanks for the other suggestions, too!
  8. I see .5 and 2 oz.... The .5 looks alright, but I don't like how the mechanism starts at halfway up... looks like it's been used or something :/
  9. Since they are micas... they can be used in m&p, right? Anyone tried this yet?
  10. Ah, Honey BeE Sweet makes a difference! And they have a Snowcake Dupe!! Thanks, I've never looked at them before!
  11. I'm looking for clear/natural twist-up tubes for lotion bars. I'm not finding too many options. I want something like this: http://www.soapandthings.com/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=2160&CategoryID=59&SEName=250-oz-lotion-bar-stick-clear-propel But smaller, like 1 - 1.5 oz, either round or oval. Are twist-ups not that popular? I found push-up ones, but I'm afraid they'll fall out.
  12. Anyone know if I can find this in the States? http://big-tree.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=570
  13. Beautiful! (Makes me want to try CP!)
  14. Ah, ok. Nope, mine is straight votive. Although I do have some soy container wax.... hmm....
  15. Too many choices!! Guess I'll have to try all of them eventually Thanks everyone!
  16. No.... my parasoy is a votive wax with a mp of 132. Don't know why I'd use a container wax for melts??
  17. Does anyone notice a decrease in tart/melt sales during the summer? I usually still melt something during the warmer months, but lighter fragrances. My soap sales are doing fairly well, but I have some parasoy wax I'd like to move along. What about shipping? Ever had one melt during transport??
  18. I have a nice OMH, but I want a straight honey that is soap safe. Nothing floral, just straight honey.
  19. I've also been looking for a dupe of this. I might just break down and buy a YC candle the next time I'm at Cracker Barrel... I just love it.
  20. The switch to corn for ethanol has also raised hay prices and feed prices for livestock. I'm being hit from all directions!
  21. I've had moderate sales with my soaps on there (http://eponasmeltingpot.etsy.com), but I've been trying to promote my Navy Blue Crafts shop more lately. I have the address printed on my business cards, and do promote OFF Etsy as well. I have MySpace and Facebook for both, and have them listed in signatures on email, forums, etc.
  22. Oh yeah, whipped m&p... that'd be great to learn!
  23. Try pouring M&P into the TOG mold.... I have to line my 1-lbs with saran, then the liners. But the 12/24 slab is fine, the sides are not removable.
  24. Right on the first page of his Etsy store... "I am a "one man band" and I do not always have every item that says "In Stock" in stock, since my craftsmanship takes time. Please be aware that the statement "In Stock" is Etsy's wording, not mine. I simply cannot keep every item in stock and continue to construct, box, and ship more molds." They are excellently made, and the wait is worth it IMHO.
