  1. I just made my first pillar EVER with this wax and let me tell you, it was so easy to work with. Beautiful crystal pattern and scent throw (cold). Mold release was a snap. It looked alot like the pictures of the starburst palm from CS. Just so that everyone knows. Their shipping is really reasonable and they have it in stock unlike CS. I ordered some container wax too, but haven't used it yet.
  2. Sorry, I thought that you wanted soy wax. Read the post wrong.
  3. Call Fillmore at 1-800 fill jar or 1888 fill jar. Can't remember which. They will ship you 5 pounds of c-3 you just pay for the shipping.
  4. I just placed an order to Nature's Garden for 2 10# bags of palm wax. One is container and the other is pillar. Has anyone used them. They are close to me so I thought that I would give them a try since CS is out of everything.
  5. I use eco wicks with my 464 and it works great in most 16 oz straight side jars I use an eco 14.
  6. my supplier has some of this for buyout at half off. Is this for candles or soap. They weren't sure because it was sent to them without any instructions. I fugure at $1 for a bag I should at least look into it.
  7. No it isn't changing it at all and I was suprised. It feels a little softer and it definetley burns more evenly. I just have a hard time keeping my wicks centered while cooling the palm. Any suggestions?
  8. I understand that, but my thought is with palm being a harder wax that they would burn cooler in them since it takes longer to melt. I have also noticed that if I make my palm candles with 10oz palm and 2 oz soy, I do not get that terrible hang up on the sides of the jars and they still look fantastic.
  9. I use this wick in a 16oz palm jar and it is a torch. I use the same jar and FO with 415 soy and it is a very light flame. What is the deal. THey claim to be for natural candles, but with the harder palm, they burn super hot and with soy, not so much.
  10. Has anyone has been to a Marc's store lately? They have Beautiful 20oz apothocary jars with lids for 2/.99. My grandmother went there yesterday and called me to tell me and I told her to buy every one that they had, which was only 20. If you have a Marc's around you, check them out for jars. I was amazed because I get the same ones at the FLower Factory for .97 a piece.
  11. I have noticed the air pockets, but my top is already hard. What am I doing wrong.. I do poke holes and repour. Is that enough???
  12. I am using 16 oz jar and gg wax with csn 14 wicks. These babies get HOT. I have used the eco14 before, but these are crazy. THe flames are high no matter how I trim the wick.. HELP. they do burn great, just wondering if I am doing anything wrong.
  13. I use 415 with eco 14 wicks and get great results. I haven't had but one scent not throw well in it. I do use 1 oz scent to 12 oz wax, but it holds it just fine and my scent throw is amazing. Some are lighter than others, but I can smell all fo them. I melt to 170 add FO and color and pour slushy which usially happens between 90-100. Good luck.

  15. I just got my 10# bag of GG from CS and let me tell you it is BEAUTIFUL. Cold and hot scent throw, AWESOME. It took me a minute to get used to pouring it SO HOT, but well worth it. I usually pour my soy slushy and pouring at 190 was a big change. I just love it. Gonna order a 50# box and want to try some starburst palm when they get it back in.
  16. I was using 464, but wanted to try straight soy. THe wicks are eco14 not 16 and I am using 1oz per 12oz wax. Which seems like it would be enough. I am going to try and cure them longer. I am in love with MC Cinnamon Vanilla and just poured a candle with this and I am going to let it cure about a week and see what that does. I just get too anxiuos to smell them and I think that I burn too soon. The AC is also on in the house non stop because it has been so hot and I notice that my throws are weaker when is on.
  17. I bought a few of MC Fo and so far I am dissapointed. I am using eco 16 wicks in 16oz jars (12oz wax to 1 oz FO) and I am having little throw. I have tried so far Mulled Cider and Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper. Neither of which have much of a throw. My FO from Makes Scents (mulled cider) smelled fantastic. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. Adding FO at 175 and pouring slushy.
  18. My favorite tool my husband made me. He crafted , out of his own imagination, a tool to stick my wicks down the inside of my jar. It is a metal coathanger with a circle at the end and it is perfect for sliding your wick into the jar and centering it... My second favorite is my presto pot. I told my husband that he should patent it.
  19. I just started today and I am soaking mine in a glass baking dish. Hope it works out. The house smells fantasic. Orange Spice to start.
  20. These look fantastic. If you don't mind, where do you get your elastic band ties for your hang tags.
  21. I use eco14 wicks and extra large zinc core in my 464. Both work great. Little less mushrooming on the ECO. I am also using these sizes in 16oz. straight side jars.
  22. I also made a vanilla sugar. Haven't tested it though. Someone ordered vanilla icing and let me tell you, that oil did not smell at all. So I added some of my vanilla crunch to it. Don't tell on me though.
  23. I have tried with great success. Lemon Pound Cake, Cranberry Relish, Harvest, Warm Apple Cobbler, Mulled Cider, Hyacinth, Lilac, CInnamon, Vanilla Crunch, Blueberry Cobbler, Moonlight Path, Baby Powder, Cucumber Melon, Lavender, Mulberry, CHristmas Mulberry, Home Sweet Home, COffee Cake and Spice, Rasin Bread and Butter Cream. I am sure that there are more. I am not sure who else has used peanut butter, cold scent throw is great, hot throw smelled like a campfire.
  24. I just wanted to turn anyone in Ohio or near Ohio onto Makes Scents Candle Supply. Their scents are fantastic. 1oz 2.50 (10 or more 1.99 each) 2 oz 3.99 8oz 8.99 (more than 5 7.99 each) and 16oz 13.99 and there is a multiple discount for these too, but not sure what it is. They also have GB 402 415 444 and 464 and j50 and some other stuff. Their color is amazing too. Their website is www.candle-supplies.com. I personally use their stuff and they are amazing and SO HELPFUL. Give them a try.
  25. I heated my 402 to 170 added FO and dye and for the first time poured slushy. IT WORKED. They look so good. I guess I didn't realize that slushy meant SLUSHY, like the drink. Quick set up and everything. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it... Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
