  1. That's it. I rarely go to the website because they are so close. I am sorry, but yes it is makes scents.
  2. I use spiced sugar plum from www.Candles-Supplies.com in Ohio. It is so strong when I tested it in 415 and 464. Good luck. This one is almost too much. I reccomend using less that 1oz pp
  3. $18 dollars? You are so lucky. I don't have to ship my wax or anything and I get most of my scents locally.
  4. I have been approached to do a fundraiser for a local YMCA I sell my 16oz candles for $12. I was thinking that $4 from the sale of each would be their share. How does that sound? I have $4-5 in each candle. I am new to this?
  5. I agree with you. My show was okay, but there were TWO Home Interior people there. I was so mad. THe lady selling them looked like she took no pride in herself, but her display was set up nice. I kept thinking "of course it is, she has someone telling her where to put everything and doing everything for her." The only thing that she has to do is sit there. It takes no brains, no creativity.
  6. Well, my mom took the pictures so they will be up tomorrow. It went well. Okay turn out, but no one seemed to be buying much from anyone. I did okay. Table was $20 and I made $130. Not too bad for my first time out. I do have a FUNNY story though. I sold candles for a while with this girl that I went to school with, but stopped when people started asking for soy and scents that she said that she couldn't get (even thought I found them just fine). Well, she was there. First, she was giving me terrible dirty looks during set up and then during the craft show was the best. My mom had aprons made for me a couple weeks ago with my buisness name so that we would look more professional. Well, wouldn't you know that 2 hours into the craft show someone comes up to her booth with a apron with her buisness name on it. It looked like they had RUSHED to make it. It was so obvious. I never laughed so hard. It didn't look like she had much buisness and it might of had to do with the fact that she had 4 people working with her and her 2 month old baby on her lap most of the time. I actually felt kind of bad, but the apron thing was priceless.
  7. Well, I will be leaving in 10 minutes and I am SO NERVOUS. I think that I might spend the whole time in the bathroom. Maybe not, just the jitters. I am excited though. I will post pics this afternoon.
  8. I just finished setting up for my VERY first craft fair. I have to give myself kudos. My table looked darn good. Very inviting. I will post pictures tomorrow morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
  9. Same here. Now that the humid weather is gone. I love my 464 again. I tried 415 and liked it, just am too impatient to pour slushy. 464 it hits 140 and pour.
  10. If anyone is close to a Garden Ridge store, they have mini loaf pans on sale. They are reg. price 1.25 and on sale for $.45. They will hold a 10oz candle and are decorated for Fall/Halloween and Christmas. They are so cute. I know they will be candle safe because is says oven safe on the bottom.. I am pouring one right now to test. I will take a pic when I am done. www.gardenridge.com This will tell you if there is one near you.
  11. I have my first craft show on Saturday. I had thought that I would not bring with me any scents that weren't fall or Christmas types. I didn't think that people would buy springy scents around the holidays. To you veterans. should I bring some other scents as well or stick to the holidays ones. I think that I have 12 or so scents that I am bringing.
  12. Just tell him that your mom or grandmother bought it for you. Works for me everytime. " Where did you get the money for that?'' "Oh honey, my mom got it for me"
  13. I checked NG website and they don't have it listed anymore so i emailed them. Thanks
  14. If I remember correctly no. The throw is fantastic though. It just didn't seem very pumpkiny to me. Maybe adding some vanilla to it would sweeten it up some.
  15. My husbands best friend wants a bacon scented candle. Does anyone know where to get it. I saw that a while back there was a co op from Candle Cocoon, but I checked and they don't have it. I found a company that sells crispy bacon scented candles so someone must be making it. Please help.
  16. Cs pumpkin souffle. I swear that I didn't really like it at first. Not sweet enough, but it has really grown on me. Not very pumpkiny, but nutty.
  17. Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use? gw 464 Additives if any? none Preferred dyes? liquid Preferred wick (Not sizes)? Eco Pouring temp you recommend? Ipour between 130-140 What you do to prevent frosting? Yeah right unless I don't want to pour any red or brown What you do to prevent rough tops? 464 does this for me. The tops are great Do you do anything to prevent wet spots? I would like to know anyone elses tricks
  18. Candlescience has some Glass Glow and I just ordered some. They are out of all other palm wax so I am SO excited. If you need some, order it now....
  19. I just bought some cd wicks from someone in the classifieds. I got cd-16 and cd-14. What size jars can these be used in? I have only been using eco wicks, but saw that everyone really liked the cd so I thought that I would give them a try. TIA
  20. If anyone is interested Nature's Garden Pillar wax looks ALOT like glass glow when used in containers. I tried a little and added some soy to soften it up a bit and it looked great and burned fine.
  21. Where dos everyone get theirs. I want to make scented pine cones and I hear that this is the best. Doesn't leave a residue on your fingers after you touch it.
  22. The kids will definetly get their candy and this is just for the parents who come up to the door.
