  1. what is the other one you like more? This was one scent I had considered ordering but .....
  2. papermart.com shipping is $5.79 for 500 4x6 shrink bags $13.88 total for bags and shipping
  3. I buy mine from papermart too. From the poster you quoted I'd say they're 4x6 500 bags for $5.09, no minimums that I know of.
  4. Dip your candle in the glaze or you can do a wax overdip.
  5. That would be my FIL, he's a retired surgeon but the man is just plain stupid! Ice doesn't expand when it freezes he says and then wonders why his pipes burst over the winter in his Big Bear cabin. Told him to keep the thermostat at 50. LOL! You got to love people who lack common sense. What else would we laugh about? Good thing no one was hurt.
  6. Just Scent has a good one
  7. I found one Mandarin Cranberry Type http://www.fragranceoilfinder.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=mandarin+and+cranberry&osCsid=5eef0433f85b03ca75306c6f211f4f5e&x=7&y=3 + one more on scent forum Mandarin Oranges and Cranberries (Mandarin Cranberry Yankee Type) from Aromatic Mills Just scent also has a mandarin cranberry but it doesn't say it's a type it says This is a great blend of cranberry spice and orange. This oil is very strong! This is really an orange clove, cranberry spice mix. The scent throw is amazing! Excellent in soy. If you want to make your own blend. Dip a q-tip in both scents and put it in a plastic bag overnight. You can get an idea of how the scents blend that way. HTH
  8. Are they for gifts? just to be used for the ceremony & reception? I think to be safe put one on every candle. What if something went wrong with one of them and didn’t have a label! Here’s a post from the business board about labels, obviously you could remove the word hangtag and add label on the box i.e. people will remove your candles from the box before burning and your required cautions will disappear with the box
  9. Wow! Hey, it sounds like Solas is losing out on some new customer opportunities, sounds like shipping costs are costing them. It’s too bad they couldn’t ship USPS and have those samples ship twice as fast for half the price they’re charging for sloooow UPS or FedEx. Someone could order 15 1oz samples and pay $4.60 and get it in only 2-3 days. They could also offer their customers $8.95 2-3 day shipping for up to 9 lbs of oils. Just think of the savings they could pass on to you! I guess it‘s too much of a hassle to go to shop.usps.com order flat rate boxes and labels shipped to their business all for free, think of the savings in cardboard boxes! But then I guess they couldn’t get $10 to ship 10 ozs, which with their UPS discount probably cost them all of $5, while they pocket the rest. No, I don’t work for the Post Office, I’ve just been in business long enough to know what my customers want, cheap fast shipping.
  10. You'll probably need to come up with one on your own. If I remember this cake mix it's a vanilla cake with a bit of cherry/almond flavor? You might try cake bake/cake batter/Birthday cake and add a bit of cherry or almond to it. Just dip a q-tip in a cake scent and dip another q-tip with just a drop of cherry/almond, put it in a plastic bag and seal it. Open the bag the next day and you should get a good idea of how the two scents work together.
  11. I had the same problem with Millcreeks f.o.s and clamshells. You probably just have a very sensitive nose that picks up those things. I think all Millcreeks f.o.s have a very plasticy skunky smell then pour them into their clamshells and it’s like fresh skunk spray, my husband however can’t detect those nuances. They must use the same cheap plastic in their bottles too. So it’s not just you or your imagination, your nose is gifted. I also have very sensitive taste buds, I have 3x’s the taste buds, I think Cheerios are salty! To avoid this I don’t use any of Millcreeks stuff. I also just use the clamshells as a mold and then shrink wrap the bar in a 4x6 shrink bag to avoid any skunky smell.
  12. I can't remember now where online I bought. I lucked out with shipping, flat rate USPS box fit over 10 lbs and shipping then, last year was only $7.10. I think I still have some in the original box in my garage, I'll check in the morning where I bought it from, maybe someone else knows who ships with those flat rate boxes, it's the way to go! They have it at health food stores but it's really overpriced.
  13. Not really new or interesting just great sellers Just Scent: Welcome Home Cinnamon Sticks Pumpkin Nog
  14. I use shrink bags for my tarts 4x6 100 gauge 500 bags for $5.09. I think they also carry shrink wrap too. I don't think you'll find a lower price on the bags tho. www.papermart.com
  15. Read the last post from Stella. She lists sites that carry CDN, also called Stablio. The links in her message have more info on melt pool diameter etc. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54831 HTH this might be just what you're looking for http://www.wickit.net/recommendations.html#scd SORRY THAT IS FOR CDN WICKS!!! NOT CSN!
  16. Dollar tree also had ceramic crocks, a two pack, I think they were 4" and 3" off-white color
  17. I found some glass bowls at the Dollar Tree that I use on my candle warmer to melt tarts, oil etc no problems. They are thick, sturdy small bowls very similar to glass mixing bowls. Don't see why you couldn't use them. As long as they are microwave safe I'd think they would hold up to the heat of a electric warmer!?!
  18. Maybe try a search for Glass Glow, it's a type of palm container wax from CS, you may have better luck searching. I did a search for wick glass glow and got 2 pages of info about wicking with that wax. Even if you're not using that type of palm container, it would be a place to start.
  19. I just searched for golden brands 435 one of my results got this, how ever when I clicked on it, it was the same computer software. Maybe they're having tech. difficulties SoyCandle.Com Golden Brands #402 ? Golden Brands #415 ? Golden Brands #435 ? Golden Brands #444 ? Golden Brands #464 ? Soy Tart Wax ? Votive/Pillar Soy Wax ... www.soycandle.com/product_info.php?products_id=400...
  20. I just checked and that site and it pulled up some computer software. Maybe the site is wrong? I added an s and root candle store pulled up. I don't know if this was what you're looking for tho. Did you try a web search.?
  21. Put 2 cubes in your warmer and start your timer, when the scent is gone you'll know how long 2 cubes last. 2 cubes is a little less than an oz, 1oz yankee tarts say they'll last 8 hours, 1 oz of my tarts last 36 hours. Just depends on your wax and what warmer you're using. Tealight warmers burn hotter so the scent is burned off quicker. Electric warmers come in many kinds: heat plate, 20-40 watt light bulbs, crocks etc, each of these will give you a different burn time. You'll just have to test your product to find out the burn time with your wax and whatever warmer you're using. HTH Amy
  22. You’re right. I hadn’t eaten yet when I posted that' date=' close to hypoglycemic shock, and maybe a bit of laziness for not reading it closely! LOL*faint* [/size']
