  1. I have always used straight pariffin and am switching, I have tried using 51-32-18z and 60-44-18z wicks. and they mushroom badly. Any suggestions which wicks I should use:confused:
  2. So use to listing it, no I didn't ad vbar, I am use to doing novelty candles.
  3. I was looking on Peak for some wicking. I am using an 8 oz metro which is 2.5 diameter X 3.5 heigth. paraffin wax with uv inhibitor, vbar, dye chip and fragance oil. I know that there will be a little difference with each different combo of oil. I have done some testing with wicking from another company and am not happy with it.Which is preferred cotton, lx or htp and which size? Thanks in advanceLiz
  4. those are beautiful. It's great that you are donating them for a good cause
  5. I like Sentury, I live about 30 min away too. but I havent found anywhere else in Oklahoma either.
  6. Thank you, those are the two I found, I am going to try and open a shop up next summer, so I think using the 5999 would be best. Elizabeth
  7. Have any of you looked up the number for candle makers, to help write a business plan?
  8. Thanks guys, I thought it was ok, but then I kept reading other threads, and wanted to clarify for myself.
  9. that is what I thought but I just wanted to make sure, thank you
  10. I my hubby finished my presto about a 2 weeks ago, and I usually don't melt much wax at one time but now I was wondering if I could just fill the presto pot full and just keep remelting and how many times I could remelt it?I use just plain parrifin 1343 from peak, no additive or fo in presto pot.
  11. Has anyone dealt with fancycandlejars.com. does anyone know there reputation?
  12. Thank you, Still a lot of work to be done on the website. I have looked at yours too. it is great. Thanks for the opinions.
  13. could someone please help point me in the right direction? I like the tulip shape but cannot seem to find them at a good price.I also like the metro look and would like your opinion on this type.
  14. I only been making candles for about a year, I still have the kitchen. I have a flat top stove, that works great for smoothing/leveling the bottom of candles.
  15. My DH just fixed my presto pot with a spiget last week, I love it It is so much easier.
