I use wick pins for votives. However, because they do move, I now have drilled holes in the bottom of the molds and run the wick through just like pillars. That way I have the pretty top in the octagon and square votives that I wouldn't have with wick pins. Doesn't take that more time to do it that way either. Rae

I have done that in a florist/balloon store. I would ask to have an exclusive on candles or she might end up taking too many candle people in which would hurt you. Also, ask her what her policy is going to be on missing inventory. She should be responsible if you have items stolen. I would go shop around her store on a weekend and see what the traffic is like. Where do you find these upscale packaging? I have one shop that wants an expensive box for the candles. I did white gift boxes with gold and white shred and a nice label. She wants more along the lines of what is on this site www.lowcountryluxe.com. If anybody can help I would appreciate it. I would not pay $55 for a 13oz candle because of a pretty box, but that is what the customer wants. TIA Rae

Anyone know where to buy a tan dye? I like the liquid dyes the best. I can't get a tan out of my brown. I added ivory and still not tan. Anybody know what colors to mix to get tan. TIA Rae

Thanks, MissMary, I did not use a pin number and it is not on my history at paypal. On my bank statement it shows "11823 purchase paypal leapinglizar...4029357733 ALUS $195." The date is 7/16/08. It has not been 30 days. I am waiting to hear back from paypal. I can't figure out why it's not on my history. I have checked a dozen of times, at least. I will call my bank the first thing in the morning. Thanks! Rae

Hey, Southern Scents, Just got an email from paypal and I have 2 against PL. The response from PL was on a $10.99 Christmas webset that I never got. Just think how mad she will be when she finds out there is another one for $197. I am having trouble with the second dispute because the $197 does not show up on my paypal account. It does shoe up on my bank account. You can't do a dispute with paypal without the transaction number. So, I emailed paypal back and asked them how I was supposed to put a dispute on it.

It does work both ways. I just know when I had a dispute on a debit before the bank said they couldn't help me. When it goes through paypal I assume it is a debit and not credit. Think I will call my bank in the morning.

Thanks to all. The sad thing is this was not a credit card. It was a debit card and I have tried to fight disputes before with bank and are always told you can't when you use your debit card. Guess I better start using a credit card, but we like to pay cash as we go. Glad to heat designer 218 is good. I noticed they don't offer the tax and shipping calculators like others.

Only items that are tangible and are shipped. They'll let you open up a dispute, but it is ineligible. Since you use paypal in your store we thought you should know that. I don't think she knows the meaning of customer service or the customer is always right. I am looking for a place to move my website or websites. Rae

Because I thought it was just an employee being rude. When I started dealing with Laura she seemed like she really wanted to help. She made me a ton on promises, so I thought I got the right person. Then after getting into it I realized she was the same person and maybe the only person at Penney Layne. I am checking now into moving site somewhere else and just lose the $400. I will certainly spread the word to not use Penney Layne. Rae
