  1. I absolutely love the Strawberry! Very, very beautiful work. What an inspiration.
  2. I make the the ones for the eyes for migraines or just to relax. It's flaxseed and lavender. You can add a little EO but they really dont need it. It you are going to zap it in the microwave, then the scent from the lavender really comes out but it's not safe to put on the eyes as it can damage the retinas. I get frequent sinus headaches due to my allergies so I zap it in the microwave and lay it over my sinus area between by eyebrows. You can also use it as a cold pack over the eye area for headaches, to relax, or to reduce puffy eyes. Sorry, I meant to say that the heat on the eyes is what can damage the retinas. OIY!
  3. ROFL! I dont have any input on JGB but your comment made me giggle more than once. TGIF. How easily I am amused.
  4. I use Cinnamon Stick from TCS. It doesn't have a food smell or a Red Hot smell to it. Just straight up Cinnamon and it's strong in paraffin. You do have to wick up though.
  5. I emailed them in February just to see what she had in stock and never got an email response back. Figured they didn't want the business and I dont have the time to hound someone for a product.
  6. I used 80% fine sea salt that I got at a local health food store. The color is the Apple Green POP. I love how white they are from the Coconut oil. This is the first time my hubby has actually commented "what pretty soap."
  7. These are my first salt bars. They turned out fabulous. My shop smells amazing also. It is an EO blend of Spearmint, Peppermint, and a smidge of Eucalyptus. I pulled it out of the oven after only two hours and they were getting rock hard so I hurried and beveled them. This was made in my Logan Bear mold. Thanks for looking!
  8. Yep, Soap Queen's recipe is out and I am on the hunt today for some of those ingredients for the frosting. If anyone needs the recipe, let me know and I will post it in the recipe section. When making these though, has anyone found that the regular size cupcakes are too much for a normal tub full of water? I dont have one of those big whirlpool tubs or garden tubs and when making the big ornament bath bombs can really split the bombs in half and it still is a lot for my tub. I would assume that the small cupcake molds would be about the same size as a normal bath bomb. Anyone opinions on this? Also, do I have to use paper cupcake holders? I keep seeing everyone use these but since the base gets rock hard, I cant see why you would Have to use them.
  9. I bought one of these over the weekend in Houston. I am going to get the clear quilter's forms to use in it and cut them to size before I put the drawers together. I am hoping this would eliminate the need for lining. I think it was Kimberly (sorry, I may have not had the name right) who said she used this to line her molds. You find it at Joann's. Will let you all know how it works.
  10. When I did this I used zincs....I dont know about the others being able to hold the curl though if they dont have the metal in them.
  11. In your opinion, who carries the best premade lotion base? I'm looking for something rich and moisturizing. I have extremely dry skin and hair. I tend to do well with products that have a lot of plant based ingredients. Thanks!
  12. Anyone have any ingenious ideas on how to package the round soaps? I've made a couple of batches in my Upland round mold and now thinking about packing them. I package my rectangle ones in Dan's Bands but I dont think that these will fit. I see that SW has boxes but you cant see the soap and you would have to take it out of the package to sniff.
  13. She means add a preservative to the water. Vitamin E is a natural preservative but you may want to look into using a preservative that is especially formulated for water based products. Try searching this site under recipes or google recipes for foaming hand soap. Check Snowdrift Farms or To Die For Soap where they not only sell the preservative but have recipes also. These two are just suggestions but there are a lot more sites that you can visit to get recipes.
  14. I want to make a gardener's soap with cornmeal using orange and lemon EOs but see that citrus scents tend to fade faster than others. Does anyone have a suggestion for an anchor EO that would make it last longer? I have lavender, peppermint, spearmint, nutmeg, and cinnamon EO but am willing to buy something else. Any ideas?
  15. I love my tureens. I get them from BC. They are not as wide at the bottom to where wax would be leftover as some other suppliers carry. If I have a 1/4" of wax left, just a safety precaution in my favor. I have never had a complaint.
  16. For me, it just seals. I haven't played with it too much. You can adjust the temp though so maybe you could "cut" with it also at a higher temp.
  17. I ordered my impulse sealer from harbor freight. I got it in about a week. Here's the link: http://search.harborfreight.com/cpisearch/web/search.do?keyword=impulse&Submit=Go HTH!
  18. I use 1.5 oz per pound in paraffin. I left mine white also.
  19. I have to 2nd Bert's. It's an awesome throw, works in soap, and $9.99 to boot.
  20. Well, I could have swore that I saw she had So Cal from the Hollister line but I dont see it on her website now. Maybe I dreamed about it.
  21. Anyone tried any of these? Would you choose Juicy over Ed Hardy. I tend not to do well with cologne/perfume dupes in my line but I am going after a couple of high school drill teams in my area for fundraisers. Since I have to place an order with Bert, wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on either of these. I have no idea what the originals smell like. Or, there is always the possibility of Hollister also. If you could choose just one, which one, and have you tried her versions? Thanks!
  22. Does anyone have the Word template that they could send me? I know that this is an old thread but I am keeping my fingers crossed that someone can help me. I just do not want to create on in Printmaster because it is a PITA and my graphics show up horrible.
  23. Does Goddess smell perfumey? When I read the description, I always think of it being similar to Little Black Dress from RE.
