  1. I'm not sure at all ! I normally just use the mp base that I have and don't add much to it so you are doing great with experimenting !! Make him a bar with just the goat milk base and see if he thinks the same. My husband was always the type that would be disappointed in lathering as well until I introduced him to the netted sponge lol! Now he will even use them at work after PT regardless of the ribbing he gets from the other soldiers:D ! Have him try a bar with just the base and scent and see what he thinks. That should help you decide on if it is the added oil or if it may be the overall base he doesn't like. HTH Angi
  2. I love them all! What are some of the natural colorant infusions that you are using. I would like to try some out Angi
  3. Absolutely love them! My boys loved it as well, went nuts over those colors . I have commissioned Jeff to make me a special mold and I can't wait to get it ! I had bought a couple of long domino holders that were wooden from Tampa when I was visiting my mother and thought they would make a perfect log to cut out sample bars of soap. Well, I didn't do well with the wood so I contacted Jeff! I can't wait !! Angi
  4. I would love to have a display made where it looks like mini bowling alleys, backwards lol. The front would have a hole where an individual bomb would sit in the open for people to feel and sniff and the "lanes" with bumpers up, could hold the bags up in a standing position. Sounds funny I know but I think it could work lol! Angi
  5. Placed in another lipstick post: I know that Brambleberry has a lipstick making kit and after searching, found the section in her blog about lipstick making. Just scroll through til you find it! http://soap-queen.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html Angi

  7. Oh, I did have one of those plastic tubes one time that had the flat lid on top and it fit 2 bombs in it very nicely and easy to label. I just couldn't figure out its size to order more (it was packaging from another company's bath beads). Those would be good to use as well! Angi
  8. Mine are in bags as well but I don't have the issue you do as I only sell online right now. Don't have the time in a day to do any type of bazaar or craft fair. Angi
  9. Love the pie!! How do you do the white part?? Angi
  10. I love them! I have a Eucalyptus/Spearmint eo blend and it seems so strong that I am not sure to even use it. Is this one an fo you are using? Angi
  11. I am actually not working this weekend due to me being in the hospital for almost a week and needing a bit more recoup time. I think I may make a couple more logs of 100% Olive Oil with my Orange/Cucumber essential oil blend I have finally decided to narrow my soap list down so that I can soap the same bars all the time instead of creating chaos and soaping anything and everything lol! Angi
  12. The mold holds 36oz of oils so I used that much. I had purchased a butt load of shea a few months ago and figured I would use it to make the soap . It would definitely be an expensive bar of soap because of the cost of shea. So I don't believe it would be worth it to sell for $4 or $5, it would have to be a much higher priced bar to justify it, I think anyways. And who knows if anyone would purchase a higher priced bar of soap, but you never know! Angi
  13. If you want some cornmeal I would be more than happy to ship you some . I buy it all the time and have to go shopping here in the next few days. Let me know and I will send some to ya. Angi
  14. I love the colors! Great looking soap. Angi
  15. That is probably what happened. I always see a nice gel with my castille soaps but when I did these salt bars and my shea soap and then my coconut, olive and lard soap, I didn't see any gel at all. They are nice and hard now though Angi
  16. It's an experiment. Someone was asking about a pure shea bar on another forum so I decided to make one so she can try it out to see if that is what she was looking for. Angi
  17. I just dumped my salt right into the soap as well. Mixed it up and molded it. I used Coconut, Shea and a tad of lard. However, mine did not harden at all after 3 hours and I still was able to cut into them at the 4 hour mark. Not sure why mine didn't harden within the hour as many have attested to. But they are nice now. Can't wait to see how they hold up in the shower. Angi
  18. Here is a pic of cut soaps. I used only Shea Butter for this and added Orange/Cucumber eo blend from WSP and used pop colors. I tried to do the swirling all the way through but was very unsuccessful lol! This one traced extremely fast and when I finished pouring into the mold it almost looked like cottage cheese at the end. It still came out to be a nice bar, very white and very hard. Angi
  19. Here is the picture of them cut. They cut just fine. It was really sunny when I took this. I think I need to take outdoor pics when it is evening time, they seem to come out better. Angi
  20. Great information and I am so glad you posted it! I just made a 100% shea butter soap tonight with Orange/Cucumber eo so I am excited to see how it goes. It is a gorgeous white though. Angi
  21. Thanks so much! Didn't know it was on Peak's Angi
  22. Does anyone by chance have the ingredient listing for the Goat Milk glycerin base from SFIC? Angi
  23. Those are the exact swirls I was referring to! Thanks Angi
