  1. I use them as well. My husband about flipped when he saw me melting mp soap in the pyrex and then later use it to measure stuff for dinner. I looked at him and said, what is wrong. He is like, omg you used that to melt soap in and now you are using it for food. I say, what is the big deal, I washed it. And he goes yeah but you melted soap in it and I go, well, what do I wash the dishes with? He just looked at me and walked away LOL! Dish soap has fragrance in it as well so I am not at all worried about melting mp with fragrance in a pyrex cup and then using it later for food. After all, when you wash your dishes by hand or even in the dishwasher, you are washing them with soap that is full of fragrance oils too Now, anything I use with the lye on cp soap I certainly keep seperate. MP soap with fragrance is no different than dish soap with fragrance IMO. Angi
  2. I love the lard as well. The first time I used it in soap I thought, OMG what is that horrible pig like smell and I couldn't smell the fo at all :undecided Then after the 3rd week of cure the soap was beautiful and smelled amazing. The fo came through very nicely and the bar lasted quite awhile in the shower, very nice hard bar of soap. I love lard soaps! Angi
  3. I think you are pretty safe giving your stuff to family first to try out on When I first started back in the day my family were huge guinea pigs for me and where the ones I got a whole lot of advice on about things I was doing, not doing and trying out. Noone in my family ever threatened to take me to Judge Judy if they got something awful LOL! Definitely get in the know before you decide to start selling but I think you are ok to try everything out on your family. And remember, no matter how ready you KNOW you are, there will be many many on this board who will say you are NOT ready. You can test for years and years and there will still be some that will say you are not ready. Do what you need to do and make the decisions for yourself but do take advice here and apply it to you and your endeavors. Angi
  4. I do all of mine at room temp by touch. I don't even use a thermometer. I have had no problems soaping at all this way and takes a lot of stress out having to worry about getting them both at the same exact temp. Angi
  5. ...a recipe for lanolin and egg white soap? I have seen that it is from Sweden and is supposed to be wonderful for the skin. Anyone have a recipe for this? Angi
  6. I think the muslim bag sounds just fine if that is the way you want to go. I wouldn't mind picking up a naked bar of soap and then you packaging it in the bag at the checkout Plus the bag could be reused instead of just thrown in the trash, maybe put a few ideas of reuse for the bag on your card. (my daughter loves them as little "treasure purses" as she calls them lol. Angi
  7. Here is a recipe for something similar. It is the second recipe down called Shower Sugar Cubes. Not sure if that is what you are looking for. http://wholesalesuppliesplus.blogspot.com/search/label/Recipes%3A%20Bath%20-%20Skincare Angi
  8. I get mine from Costco Angi
  9. Heheh, I make a broccoli, cauliflower cheese thingy. Lots of broccoli, lots of cauliflower, layered with tons of velveeta and topped with crushed ritz crackers that are soaked in butter (1 stick per pack of ritz). Extremely fattening but oh so good! Thanks for all the help! Angi
  10. I have a few 32oz Velveeta Boxes after this Thanksgiving meal and was thinking of using them as molds. Does anyone know how many ounces this will hold? Thanks!! Angi
  11. You can find WSP's recipe here: http://wholesalesuppliesplus.blogspot.com/search/label/Recipes%3A%20Soap Just scroll down til you find "Debbie May's Soap Frosting" Angi
  12. It would probably be best if your fundraising packet ONLY had the fragrances available for the fundraiser so a mistake like that could not happen again. If you are only going to offer x amount of fragrances then those should be the only fragrances even mentioned anywhere on your fundraising information packets. That will save even more headaches. No sense in listing ALL your fragrances if they aren't all available KWIM. Forgo letting them pick their own. You choose the fragrances you want to offer for the fundraisers. Angi
  13. That is where your testing would come in. Make a few and start burn tests to see if it works the way you would like it to Which is why candlemaking is so expensive Angi
  14. Here are some pics of the tarts I made using palm wax with the Ellipso containers in the co-op. Angi The top 2 pictures are the 2ozers and the bottom 2 are the 1ozers
  15. Mine came out rather nicely but you do have to watch your temp. The first batch I poured it was way too hot and melted the clamshell flat LOL angi
  16. I ship to Canada all the time and would do be more than happy to have it shipped to me and then I will ship it on to you. Angi
  17. I walked in to bbw while my husband was on leave and loved the smell. So I bought a large tube of lotion and the shower gel. I put a little bit of lotion on that night before going to bed and 2 hours later I had to take a shower to get it off. The smell was making literally ill. Way too sweet. So, I got a huge bottle of this lotion that I used a dab out of and an unused bottle of shower gel...anyone want it? Angi
  18. The stockings are just too cute! Angi
