  1. Well, I decided to get a bit more crafty with my soap labels LOL! I have them pictured below. This one is soap using the sfic goat milk base with Black Currant and Nectarine scent..smells wonderful! This one is my 100% olive oil soap using Bergamot/Grapefruit eo blend...smells nice as well Angi
  2. You guys amaze me with this clay! I always purchase the clay with such high hopes, only to be dashed when I find out I am so not artistic with clay LOL! I think they look great!! Angi
  3. I have been avoiding using my logo on labels like the plague but I finally found some good label templates that has made my life so much easier:D Now I just need to go to onlinelabels and order a slew of the full page labels. Angi
  4. I am using a light box but I think I need to lower the lights some. It is all trial and error as I am by no means a photographer and couldn't take a decent picture to save my life Angi
  5. I am testing out how to take decent pictures of my stuff and I am still not very good yet :embarasse , but I also switched my labels around a bit as well. Angi
  6. Very nice! And you were right about the mold, the finished log is the exact size that I was looking for, for the sample bars of soap Angi
  7. It's gorgeous! I love how the soap is two different layers and then the pretty swirls on top :embarasse That would take me about 15 years to accomplish LOL! Angi
  8. After smelling it I literally craved some melon lol! It smells that juicy I hope it lasts after the cure time. Angi
  9. Here is the honeydew after I took it out of my 6 bar tog mold. They are pretty thick bars let me tell you lol! But still smell great. Angi
  10. I absolutely love the last 2 !! Great soap Angi
  11. I mix 1/4 tsp per 1oz of oil and have them in those clear squirt bottles (like ketchup bottles). I have about 6oz made of each color and then I just squirt it on the soap when I am ready to use them Angi
  12. It looks terrific. I made a goatmilk mp bar with this scent and it is really a great scent! Angi
  13. I love the middle one! Angi
  14. I got this fo from the classies and absolutely love it. It smells like a very ripe honeydew melon. I used the green pop for this one. Angi
  15. This is a peppermint shampoo bar that I made with Peppermint eo, Tea Tree Oil and crushed peppermint leaves. The scraps that I got off the mold bubbled really nicely. Smells great as well Angi
  16. This has already been discussed on etsy. There was one person that posted about an Etsian who worked on Capital Hill and they had said "it most likely take forever to go through (if ever) - it's been in the works awhile and there are plenty of big guys who are opposed as well." So who knows, but they have talked about it over there on the forums. Angi
  17. I use pam so all I have to do is point and spray Angi
  18. The ones I get from Pampered Chef look just like bath bombs . Their's are in the shape of tablets (looks like small hockey pucks) and you just fill the sink, drop it in, let it fizz like a bomb and then drain the water Angi
  19. I guess cause the material is so much thicker than the wood box that it threw me off Thanks again! Angi
  20. I received my custom mold from Jeff ! It was wonderful working with him as well. It is humongous though lol! I think I may have sent the wrong measurements in because I was basing it off a long domino holder that was definitely much smaller than what I got. I should have mailed it to you Jeff LOL! But this mold is wonderful!! Angi
  21. Adam, There are always those that are going to give you crap on this board especially if they already have a preconceived notion about you. The ones that do that feel they are above reproach and I just think of them as pot stirrers as that is their main goal in life when it comes to this board. Just read it and move on, that is the best you can do. If you rise to their ridiculousness then you have in turn given them EXACTLY what they were looking for If you don't believe me about pot stirrers, just take a look at some of the OT posts....proverbial pot stirrers. The bottom line is you are right about HP. As I stated earlier I have seen post after post about HP being used right away (and no, we do NOT know if they were using it for personal use or business use) and I have never read anyone coming down and saying Oh you can't use HP right away, it has to cure. It was said because YOU mentioned it. And nothing that anyone says will cause me to change my opinion on that one. When you ask for critiques on websites you are not just going to get a critique on what you are looking for. There are some that are going to go through every single thing you have done with a fine tooth comb. I can't take that type of criticizm so I never ask for opinions on websites ever:wink2: . I believe in what I do whole heartedly but I also believe that if your labels stink then you won't get any business. Why? Because that is how I feel. I won't buy a product if the label stinks. I look at it in a way that if the person making the product is not at all concerned about the look of the label then they certainly are not concerned about the type of product they are producing. You have to believe in your ENTIRE product and that includes labeling and packaging. This is why I constanly am changing my stupid labels because I just don't feel they are good enough and I do not have the money to hire a professional to create and produce them for me. Also, if I buy a product that is sub-par from one seller, it does not deter me from buying the same product from a different seller. So I guess that is why I can't see how running his business can affect mine. I had a horrible steak dinner the other night at Rafferty's that was way too expensive for what I got but will that put me off to buying a steak dinner at The Outback...I don't think so LOL! I just will never go to Rafferty's again. If I buy a horrible soap from Eugenia (probably never happen in a million years but bear with me:wink2: ) that would not put me off to buying a soap from CareBear. So, I just can't see that concept. Anyways, the main point of this ridiculously long post is you really need to accept the good with the bad when requesting critiques and if you don't like the bad, just read it and move on. If you believe in what you are doing then you are going to run your own business how you see fit. Not one of us here can tell you how to run things. We can only give opinions and we all know what opinions are ! Angi
  22. It is his business and if he feels he has done everything he needs to do to run it the way he sees fit then he is going to do what needs to be done. I have seen many post that they have used HP immediately after unmolding and I have not seen a response telling them they should not have done that until now. I know that is why many choose hp over cp, for the immediate gratification of using it right away. However he chooses to run his business should in no way affect us. If he feels his products are ready to sell, then no matter what anyone says here, he will sell them. It's his business and his butt. Not ours! He is in no way making a mockery of me and my soaping with how he runs his business. It shouldn't of you as well. JMHO Angi
  23. I love all the colorful pictures around the site but as mentioned, it seems the black and white do not go with those colorful pictures. I am constanly changing things as well so you aren't alone:D Angi
