  1. Brenda - you did a wonderful tutorial.. thanks so much for sharing - I have been admiring your pictures of your soaps, your an inspiration. I do have a question - after your done with the 3rd layer I am assuming you cover it up for a day or so? and do you leave the mold uncovered between layers? Thanks again for sharing..
  2. Very professional looking - brings out the beauty of the candles. Do mind sharing what kind of camera your using?
  3. I just use my left over wax when I am pouring candles.. The website for the wax usually will give you an idea of the melted wax temp.. I would guess between 160-165..
  4. Great for you! Sounds like your on the right track..
  5. Looks great.. those have been a hit for me with the younger croud - well some oleder also for gifts for kids/grandkids... especially around the holiday season time - great stocking stuffers..

That is what I do alot of the time and usally get it pretty close the first time or two.. Here are a couple I found: Votive - Standard 2oz.130mp plain paraffin wax1 Wick44-24-18 Zincmore Votive - Standard 2oz.125mp plain paraffin wax1 WickCD 5some scents CD 4more Votive - Standard 2oz.130mp plain paraffin wax1 Wick44-24-18 Zincmore Votive - Standard 2oz.Astor J-50 (container)1 WickLX 10more Votive - Standard 2oz.125mp plain paraffin wax1 WickLX 10more Votive - Standard 2oz.-130mp plain paraffin wax-1 WickHTP 41-more Votive - Standard 2oz.-130mp plain paraffin wax-1 WickLX 10-more If it were me, I would start with one of these if you have it and take it from there. 11. I was a wax drip too.. sometimes still am.. :rolleyes2 No need to applogize. I use soy so I am unable to help you... but I am sure someone will jump on and help you or give you a direction. While your waiting, you might want to check out this link if you havent already - it is in the helpful links for newbies area http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Discussions;action=display;num=1074230291 And I also use this often. http://server.com/WebApps/db-view.cgi?id=71493 - just go to search form, I know it doesnt have the type of wax you use - or I dont think it does.. type the size votive and maybe you will find something close that you can start with. It might get you going in the right direction.. hope that helps
  12. I believe the reason that was asked, was because it is possible to wick and pour into proper glass votive holders. Alot of people on this board put a lot of time and effort into testing their products, and are very helpful sharing their results to help others. However, I dont believe there are many that will just give info on a whim, not knowing the ins and outs about what is going on.. meaning, a bit more information than you provided. Yes you stated it was paraffin, but is it straight paraffin, or a paraffin mix, are you adding anything to it? What is the brand.. etc all this information will help somebody give you the help your looking for..
  13. Thanks for all the replies I have gotten, I am pondering over everything right now.. I sure appreciate how many helpful people are on the board and will step up and offer assistance in time of need.. I truly appreciate all the offers and kind words though all this.
  14. Oh Trish - I though you were going to come to my rescue.. I love working with you.. Thank you for your kind words.. Edited to add: I fixed the name to Kristen Shower.. I have an email into her to see if they do the bubble bath ones.
  15. I am in need of ordering some bath bombs - but they have to be the bubbly kind not fizzy... does anyone make these or know of anyone that does. I checked Kristens Shower but all I saw was the fizzy ones on the site.. I would sure appreciate any info .. I really need these.
  16. Congrats!... the first big order is a great feeling isnt it..
  17. where is a good place to get those salt type crystals.. the really big coarse looking salt? Any ideas???
  18. Love the colors.. very pretty.. :highfive:
  19. Thanks for the info.. it was very helpful as were the links.. I am so happy to finally have a "number" for the size bottle I need..
  20. Looking for those pour spouts for FO to make it more accurate to weight the FO directly into the pour pot. Peaks use to give them with their bottles, then they stopped, I have 1 of the "pointy" kind that works well.. just need to get some more and havent a clue where to get them or what they are called etc.. I hope my description makes sense. LOL
  21. That sounds awesome.. I am a visual person.. so I am awaiting the photos.. Thanks for sharing your idea..
