OK, I see them on the Anchor Hocking website. So does anyone know, since they're listed under Commercial products, do I have to be a company before I can order them? (Ie: I haven't formed my company yet)

But they already said they were not going to sell the candles at that same venue if I "re-read" the original post right. Looks to me that the customer didnt ASK for a price break either so that would imply they were willing and expected to pay retail prices. Hence my statement.

I'm not talking about past shows, I'm talking about future shows. And you cannot imply that they didn't ask for a discount from the original post.

If you re-read the original post, you will see that they stated that they gave the buyer a good deal. That would imply that they could feasibly sell the candles at the same venue at a lower price. If they sold them to the buyer at retail I would agree with you, but they didn't.

So if they are giving them a deal I would make them sign a contract stating that: 1. They would not sell at same venue if that's what seller wants. and/or 2. If seller is ok with them selling at same venue, that they do not sell at a lower price.

There's nothing crazy about that. It's protecting your business.

I would write up a contract that does not allow her to change the labelling. I think you also need to dictate the price she sells them at also. I would hate to see her selling your candles at a lower price at the same market.

There's a lot more to this than information you have supplied?

How hot did you heat your wax?

At what temperature did you add the FO to the wax?

At what temperature did you pour the wax into your container?

If you search on cure time I think you find that most ppl think a soy candle takes more than 3 days to cure.

Agreed with above, although I find that the glass glow had smaller air pockets than other palms. And white palm candles are gorgeous! Just don't add any color. Your candle may still be slightly off white depending on the shade of the FO.

mwalls..... doing a search on Ecosoya CBA will reveal some threads where some people believe that CBA doesn't throw for anyone. I have tried it and was not impressed, but love the 135. Good luck.

I also add my FO at 180 - 185 as soon as I pour my wax from my Presto. I also heat the FO on a candle warmer before mixing with the wax.

Well I'm going to get crazy and mix a little bit into my soy and see what happens. I'm sitting here burning a Root candle that is filling up my whole house. I understand that they use a mix of soy, microcrystalline and beeswax. Thought I'd try something along that line to try and increase my hot throw in CB135

depending on how your scale works, it's probably easier to just use 5/8 of an ounce, which would be 0.625 oz.. slightly under 8%

I want to give my hot throw a slight boost. I've pondered trying just 10% paraffin in my CB135. My search didn't result in any discussion about mixing paraffin with this particular wax.

Anyone try it?

was 10% enough to give a boost?

I don't care to go up to a 70/30 mix if I can at all avoid it.

I know nothing about paraffins, do some mix better with soy than others? Can anyone suggest something? I"m ordering from BCS, so that would be the logical place to start. (that means IGI waxes or old Astorlite waxes).

I suspect that was in an area where they sold canning type supplies?

My Mom used to make a years worth of strawberry jam when strawberries were in season and always used Certo and then melted paraffin and poured it over the jam in the mason jars to help preserve it.

I too love the Very Vanilla.. good throw. .Really turned my CB135 brown though. And I have had to wick up 2 sizes.. curious if anyone else has had to wick up that much. (CD10 ---> CD14)

I would be interested in knowing too, however, if you are putting fragrance oil in your candles, then they are not all natural. I think even Essential oils are cut with something so that it mixes with the wax.
