I just came to the horrifying realization that when my current supply runs out.. I won't know where to get more.

Anyone know of anyone else that carries it?

I checked JBN website and don't see it there.

In case anyone is wondering I used it as an additive in my soy candles to reduce wet spotting.

SW Belgian Chocolate smells up my entire house.. smells just like Chocolate Milk to me. delish!

My apologies is this is a re-port but I tried to search and didn't find it.

Any thoughts? I'm still not sure that the average person burns enough parrafin candles for this to really be a problem, so I am not planning on using this in my promotional works.

Can anyone tell me where to get a good straight ALOE fragrance oil? (for candles, not soap).

Fragrance Oil Finder lists a few companies, but haven't heard of most.

GreenLeaf has one, but have not tried it.

BCNs Wick Your Wax Pear Tart is wonderful, although it can pick up a bit of a fuel smell after burning awhile.

Do you think all of the Heinz CD Coreless wicks are the same from every supplier? Or if I order them from a different supplier will I have to retest? TIA

The wax priming on the wick may differ. I would definitely retest to be sure.

I'll fifth the CandleScience White Tea. throws great in soy, but feel it needs a little bit longer cure time.

I don't understand why they ony give it a two leaf rating when I think it throws a heck of a lot better than some of their three leaf rating FOs in CB135

anytime I had cracking like that, it was because there are air pockets under the surface of the candle.

I take a bamboo skewer and poke four or five holes about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch from the wick and do a repour.

Should make all the difference.

CD wicks are self-trimming and designed to curl when burning. So they're doing what they're supposed to be doing!

notice the dark brown (paper) braid in the wick? On one side it seems to point down, on the other side, it seems to point up.

The wick will curl towards the side where the braid is pointing up.

So when I set my wicks, I put the wick slightly off center so that the flame over the curl of the wick will be centered and I get an even melt pool.

I am not familiar with your wax, but it is mostly likely a chemical reaction of the fragrance oil to the heat. And it would turn the wax brown in most waxes.. not just yours. I use soy and I just live with it.

I am burning BCN's Wick Your Wax Cinnamon Stick right now and it's quite nice. If you decide to try, be sure to wick up quite a bit and use less than your normal amount... otherwise you'll drown out.

This is just me personally... I don't like the look of a double wicked candle. I'd rather go with a smaller container and single wick.

Technically, nothing wrong with them if wicked properly.. I would just never make one myself.

their Wick Your Wax line is top notch with good hot throw. I think the extra expense is worth it. Vanilla Grapefruit and Pear Tart are favorites of mine.

I've seen this type of post on four different forums today, I suspect a programming glitch at google. Worked fine when I tried it.

Love love love the Cranberry Citrus, but can't get it to throw in soy no matter how hard I tried. (and I tried HARD!!!)

I too, tried EOs and never got the throw that I wanted. In chatting personally with another poster on this board about how to get a better hot throw with EOs... he said.. it ain't gonna happen. I just don't think the EOs bind to the wax well enough.

I use CB 135 and yes, I get wetspots. A year ago, I started using the sticky wax sold by GL and that has significantly reduced the amount of wetspotting, but in the dead of winter I still get 'em.

Some suppliers may have to sell the stock they already purchased at higher prices before they can reup at lower ones and offer the savings to their customers...

Agreed... which is why I expected BCS to have a lower price since they've been showing "out of stock" on all their Ecosoya waxes for a month. They clearly just ordered more. They're even $11 a case more than BCN!

ETA: lol lol I just checked again, they're down to $58.50

My first (and last) experience with them wasn't so hot.. but related to wax instead of FO. I felt a little mislead on what I was purchasing and when it wasn't what I expected.. or how they explained it to me... they wouldn't take the wax back without a restocking fee. (It was a small amount, so not a big deal, but sort of turned me off) Haven't been back.
