  1. I don't know a 100% one-size-fits-all answer, but I've done a ton of internet shopping and I never pay sales tax unless I am a resident of, or am buying something for a resident of (and am having it shipped to them) of the state where that business exists. I really think the same goes for all of us. If we have a business in state A and people from state A, B & C buy something from us then only the person from state A is charged sales tax. That's how my shopping cart is configured and that's how the tax is figured when I submit my sales tax to the state of TX. HTH.
  2. Lynn, Are you saying that mixing certain FOs could be dangerous to one's health? I'm not sure I've ever heard this before...
  3. I just saw this thread and WSP's Coconut Lime Verbena is amazing. It's one of my very best sellers...it's such a sexy fragrance!
  4. That's really unfair. I love BC as well, but their website is really bizarre..I think it's my least favorite website that I ever visit. Their shopping cart system needs serious work as it is really time consuming to shop with them. I prefer BCS's shopping cart but hear they are changing it soon. Anyway, when I first ordered from BCN I did the same thing you did. I didn't realize that you weren't just supposed to pick 12 1 oz. size scents. The instructions for ordering a sample pack are nonexistent. The whole thing is not very clear at all. I did email them and they adjusted the price though so I don't understand why they won't do that for you. I think it's absurd.
  5. I've used WSP's B&BW works Garden Mint dupe...I really like it---the description says it is mint & lettuce combination. I smelled a Yankee mint candle yesterday that was so fresh and minty that I was immediately jealous of their FO.
  6. Sorry, I still have no idea what you're looking for.
  7. Oopsies...I don't actually have suppliers for many of those...lol...but I do have some mixing suggestions. Straw. & Champg-WSP has an awesome dupe of the VS Strw. & Champg. I love love love it! Strawberry Jam-I like the BCN strawberry jam. I've used it a lot as a mixer. Alone I think it smells more like strawberry ice cream (which might be a good one for you!) Chocolate Covered Strawberries-I did a layered candle with chocolate & the BCN strawberry jam and it smelled EXACTLY like chocolate covered strawberries. I used WSP Hot Fudge Brownie (BCN's Chocolate Raspberry Roll is a good choc. with a little something extra) and the BCN Strawberry Jam. Strawberry Cake/Strawberry Shortcake-Hmm...I think JS Frosted Pink Cupcake is close, but I'm not a big fan of it. I'd probably choose to mix this one. I'd do 25% Strawberry Jam and 75% of cake scent (my FAVORITE cake FO is BCS Red Velvet Cake--it smells exactly like a yellow cake baking). Then, I'd probably add a bit of the BCS Whipped Cream but that'd throw off the percentages...lol I'm not really sure about the strawberry & lemon muffins...maybe cake/lemon/strawberry....or maybe just strawberry/lemon. Hopefully someone will have a more realistic strawberry FO suggestion since all I've had experience w/ is the Strawberry Jam & Strawberries & Champagne. HTH!
  8. I just looooove this basket/pail! It's adorable! What FO did you use? Is it a tart pear or more like a ripe pear? Sounds yummy!
  9. Here it is: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=2910
  10. I've seen tons of dupes of this fragrance...I believe WSP has it and their dupes are generally dead on. Is it that good? I haven't been to B&BW in years...
  11. Strawberry wine...lol...I'm sure you have strawberry jam...ummm....strawberry cake (YUMMY!), strawberry shortcake (don't forget the whipped cream), chocolate covered strawberries, strawberries & champagne... I saw a recipe for strawberry & lemon muffins...not sure about that one but could be yummy! Ok, I think that's all I have.
  12. When I got my papers from the state (TX), the info. they gave me was this: You need to collect the sales tax rate for your location, not where the customer lives. For example, I'm in Denton, TX and my state + local sales tax rate is 8.25% so I collect 8.25% sales tax on sales from anywhere in TX. HTH.
  13. Hmm...how does a hard plastic square come in roll form...? I don't think I know what you're talking about. Can you describe them a little better?
  14. BCN's BNL Sweet Pea---it is EXACTLY like the B&BW Sweet Pea!
  15. Thanks guys! I think I'm going to get .5 oz. of the Pink Peppercorn (yes from JS) in some cyclo and see how it does. If I'm still unimpressed I will definitely sell it! lol...I've got the FPC in cyclo to give to my neice for Christmas so I'll see what happens with that.
  16. Well I got both the Pink Peppercorn and the Frosted Pink Cupcake in and I must say I'm disappointed on both counts. I figured it might be an OOB situation so I put the FPC in cyclo and lotion immediately and it's just not what I'm looking for...it smells like a weak suntan lotion! I like Pink Peppercorn a little better but it's a bit headache-y for me. I haven't done anything with it yet, but wished I'd been able to purchase smaller than 4 oz! Oh well...I'm just going to have to have the Pink Cake scent I'm looking for duped. Thanks guys! Edit: I forgot to say that I got 3 other Old Mill FOs: Vervaine Olive Leaf, Wild Fig & Cassis and Goddess. I love love love the Olive Leaf and the Fig. I prefer the WYW Goddess--they aren't exactly alike but they are close enough that I don't want to have two simliar musky floral fragrances.
  17. I don't know what containers you need but BCN and BCS allow you to buy the clear PET bottles and sprayers/flip tops by the dozen. It's very cheap. That's how I did it when I decided to start testing the lotions & cyclo spray.
  18. How can big companies get their vanilla-type products to stay an attractive color?
  19. Is there anything that can be done to stop Pink Sugar from turning body products brown? I wasn't aware that it did this...made lotions a few nights ago (no dye, just white) and now I've read two threads that have mentioned the discoloration. My lotion hasn't turned colors...it's still white, but I'd rather know for sure if it's going to happen so I'm not surprised! Do people buy/want/use brown Pink Sugar products? I can't imagine!!! lol...might have to rename it Nasty Sugar
  20. The Taylored Concepts guy is Robert. I was just there the other day...wish I'd known they do dupes. Maybe it's just me, but most of their FOs smell like the same thing...I was hoping to be able to get most of mine through them, but I wasn't impressed. I only carry their Buttercream Supreme & Christmas Splendor. I was especially uncomfortable with their dupe selection...they smelled nothing like the original fragrances...So, for me, even if I had known they do custom dupes, I wouldn't choose them.
  21. I use 1 oz. Grandma's Kitchen (BCN) in EZ Soy and have great results--no fuel. I have one customer who will order nothing but this scent. Try cutting back to 1 oz. pp.
  22. LOL...if only my husband would actually think about the things I like!
  23. Mmm! Rubbing Alcohol! I'd like that one too!!! lol..most gals would love a bottle of perfume for Christmas but give me a gallon of bleach & I'll be tickled pink!
  24. I know I'm in the minority here, but I love the smell of bleach...The request is funny to me because I'm always telling my husband that I'd like to find a bleach FO for candles in my own home...I've not found it yet though so sorry I can't really help!
  25. I think it's awesome---love the color! It looks like a pumpkin to me!
