Hmmm....we need a supplier to figure out this mystery so we can use these! I have about 2 thousand of the wallflowers and I hate to toss them because the moment I do someone will discover how to refill them and get them to throw! Susan-LOL...yeah, that's right! I forgot about the bulb unscrewing backwards from the wallflower piece (maybe that was BBWs attempt to keep people from tampering with the product!). The lid to the bulb is defintely NOT a screw cap though...LOL...I am such a clutz and I'm lucky I'm still alive after trying to rip that cap/wick off the top of the bulb! babyrn-Wow...what made you think to do vodka?...LOL...Not sure that would've even crossed my mind!!!

Ok, I tried this the other day. First of all, it is a b*tch to get the fuzzy "wick" thing out to get oil back in the bulb, but it is possible with some time, effort, and tools. I almost poked my eye out with the needlenose pliers. Second, they must cut the oils with something mysterious. I tried straight FO and then tried it with cyclo (I have no idea why...LOL...just an experiment) and I couldn't get much scent throw. In fact, I think the minimal scent throw I was getting was primarily from FO spilled on my counters! I would love to know what they mix the FO with though. I'd also love it if a supplier would develop refill bulbs for these so we can easily offer customers refills and not have to destroy the original bulbs trying to get the cap off (the BBW bulbs are definitely not a screw off cap--more of a "pull with all your might until the mangled lid pops off cap")

I haven't tried the NG oils but the BCN Choc. Rasp. Roll is quite good. It is very a realistic chocolate with a little something extra (the raspberry)...I generally hate chocolate FOs but this one is nice.

I totally agree with TXSioux about TC's oils. I go there to pick up my jars and I often sniff the oils and they all smell wierd to me. Plus, I haven't found a single dupe of theirs that smells even remotely like the original fragrance. In fact, a lot of their oils are just plain gross IMO. I like the service okay, but the friendliness of the employees leaves a lot to be desired. If I could get my jars from somewhere else and not pay shipping, I would quit using TC completely. As for NG, I used some of their oils when I first started making candles and just wasn't impressed by them OOB or in wax. So, I ventured off to BCN and BCS. I love the WYW oils and BNL oils at BCN and the Red Velvet Cake at BCS is to die for. I love a lot of WSP oils as well but they have awful customer service.

I don't like either supplier for FOs.

I've seen several people mention "Wendy's" FOs...Who IS this? I checked the supplier thread...nothing by that specific name and a search for Wendy brings up a crapload of junk! If this is the name of the person behind a business it's a little hard to find out about the business if you only know the contact name of the owner...LOL

And it's also a tirade we've all heard a thousand times. Tell her she should test and move on instead of everyone getting their panties in a knot over the same subject every two weeks.

I don't know about in paraffin, but adding a small amount of Crisco to soy isn't unheard of. Since Crisco is soy I don't see any specific issue with her using it as an additive in paraffin, but I'm not a paraffin user. For your original question about suppliers----I personally am not a NG fan and don't use anything from them. As for the testing and being ready by March 1, good luck & I'm staying out of this debate.

I was just at Walmart and saw that they have a selection of foot lotions for diabetics. It was in the diabetic supply section. Probably worth a try.

I use the HTP 105 and 126 in these as well. I don't fill mine to the top--only to the neck of the jar where it starts to narrow. It is closer to 6 oz. of wax the way I fill mine.

I AM blind! I ordered a sniffie of the salty sea air...sounds nice!

I'm glad you posted this as I just visited their website. Do they only offer 1 oz. samples and 16 oz. sizes? That's a little strange...

I love this idea....would love to hear if someone else has tried them. I hate trying to get my clear B&B labels straight...not that this would really solve that problem, but it seems like this would look really professional on products.

Bleh!!! This one smelled like puke to me!!! You want a good Lemon Verbena scent you should try to WYW Lemongrass & Star Anise...OMG it is AMAZING! I want to pour the bottle all over me!

The BNL Lavender Basil is really herbal..it's great actually and I typically hate lavender! Sorry, haven't tried the Basil Sage Mint but I wanted to!

Wow...I love those! I typically dislike pillar candles...have never really found that I like burning them or displaying them, but I loooooove the way those in the original link look...they're super cool!

Of course they were losing money by offering a flat rate shipping for every item possible! It was a stupid, ridculous move that they clearly did not think out. If this was the first and only problem with WSP I would stick with them as well. However, we all know that this is an ongoing problem with this company. It is clear that business sense is lacking and customer concern is minimal (I have still not received a response to a complaint email I sent on 1/28). I, for one, am not going to continue to do business with a company that can't adequately respond to a litany of customer complaints about shipping issues.

lol....Of course they do! That's just my freaking luck!!! I've sworn off WSP and am in the process of replacing all of my WSP oils. Thanks for the suggestion!

Has anyone tried, heard of, or found a dupe of Yankee's Lemon Lavender? I've heard it's really great--smells really clean.
