  1. Just got in a 16 oz bottle today and it smell great oob-don't know when I'll put it in wax. Sorry - I can't describe it though - not good at that!!
  2. I use the sweet pea from LS and it really smells good - the customers that buy this really like it.
  3. Wine by Candlelight from AH really smells good.
  4. I got mine from Alabaster - the 30 & 36 flat braid - it was not waxed but I just dip the length I need in melted wax and let it dry and it works fine. hth
  5. This is to correct my post about maybe it was the Lonestar fo - well the one i poured using WSP had started fingernailing. I shrink wrapped her and got er in the mail as soon as I could before I saw more!!!
  6. IGI 4625 showes a pouring temp of 185 and fo 3-6%. I usually add 1.25 ff and pour around 180-185 and have started using flat braid 30. That seems to be the size that works for most. hth
  7. WSP has a good home sweet home - don't know about the throw in soy - in paraffin it is great. hth
  8. I just poured this for a customer - she loves it and so do I. Just tried smelling it to see if I could describe it - can't. Real spicy and wonderful. Maybe say cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, all the spices in grama's kitchen plus a and a hint of spicy pine????
  9. I agree LadyBre -The fo was Lonestar and I know the cranberry does not mix, even at .75oz pp you can still see some in the bottom of pour pot no matter how much stiring you do. The vanilla seems to mix good, was trying to remember, and it does seem like the other times I have had this happen all the fo has been from Lonestar - you may be on something there! I started out with Lonestar and certain scents I have stayed with them because they were so good and I have never found anything wrong with their fo's but 4625 and LS may just not mix good!!!
  10. Thanks Top - I was making Cranberry and used 1 oz pp and Vanilla with 1 oz all so. When I made the 2nd ones I only use .75 pp on the cranberry - it is very strong and thick, in fact both very strong and thick. So far so good but it took about 2 days for the fingernails to show up. Made a pillar in English Tea Rose and it did fine - no fingernails.
  11. Forgot to add I use no more than 1.25 oz pp and on some fo use only .75 oz. Never go over 1.25 though.
  12. I use the 4625 and use the 30ply and have very good results with it. Don't use any additive with this.
  13. I just had a thought about fingernails - reckon when you poke your relief holes in pillar - then you fill them up with hotter wax when you top off. Could the fingernails be where the hotter wax is hitting the cold wax:undecided . I use IGI 4625 and pour at about 185 then top a little hotter. Just a thought - opinions??
  14. Made a vanilla pillar and cranberry pillar Friday - looked great. Today got ready to pack up order and guess what:( FINGERNAILS!! Tried to tell myself to just go ahead and send those and if they asked say "What in the world"? but couldn't do it so making new ones. Hope they don't FINGERNAIL!!!!
  15. Very pretty - what kind of jars?
  16. I use the 4625 for my pillars and have no problem with scent throw. I do not add any additives to my pillar wax. The only problem I have is it seems with certain scents, there have been about 3 over several years, that I get little white spots in them and nothing I can do changes it. Finally on last batch just melted them down and did rustics! I had been using zinc wicks but just recently changed to the flat braid, like this better, hate the mushroom. hth I normally use 1.25 oz of fo, on some only need 1 oz
  17. I don't use J-223 but I do use the htp wicks, I like them because they are virtually self triming and if they do need triming all you have to do is pinch them off with fingers. Started out with zinc but just didn't like those. I only use igi wax - 4786, 4625, and 1274 and htp wicks. For my pillars I have started using the flat braid for pillars. Know this doesn't answer your question about the wax!
  18. Well - I got mine and instructions from WSP. Guess different companies have different ideas. Guess all the crystals are the same, wouldn't you think? Anyway - mine have sold fine, so don't guess I will change anything!
  19. Well, first i heard of that!! Been making them for about 2 years! I never had problem with the oil separating though, I always stired when first mixed and then again couple minutes late. I might give it a try though - how much per 8oz jar?
  20. Bugtussle is right - my last shipment of IGI wax had water in it but it just sits at bottom - easy to see - and with my presto I can tell when I get to the bottom when to stop pouring.
  21. We are making smelly jellies aren't we? Why do you add soap?
  22. I put water, germaben, water soluble dye,fo, crystals (in that order) and then stir. Sometimes you have to stir couple times. They always mix fine after that.
  23. I also love their blackberry pomegranate and have just poured their peach magnolia raspberry and it smells great - have not burned it yet but can't wait to! I have just started ordering fo from them, have ordere jars before and their customer service is good. hth
  24. http://stores.ebay.com/Coppercreekincs-General-Store http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220092260859&category=3089&ssPageName=STORE:PROMOBOX:NEWLIST try these links - she is on ebay and also has a web site I believe.
  25. I have 3 presto pots from Copper Creek. 2 for container wax and the other for pillar wax. Each pot will hold 8 lbs. It melts quick and the temp is easy to control. I love my pots! hth
