  1. ICS Cranberry Orange Spice unfortantely doesn't smell the same as BC's Autumn Spice But I can tell you I recieved a candle from Trapp awhile back which I believe was the mix of FO's she stated above that was an amazing dupe of BC's Autumn Spice. Sandy
  2. I love love love your label (I love browns) and I love how you incorporated the cover and using the rope/hemp with cordinating beads. Looks so good but for me I would lose the hang tag and have the scent name on that fabulous label. And nix the glitter also, too messy. I have to say again I LOVE your label!!! :smiley2:
  3. Your candles look great. I would have to say I like the set up of pic #1 and #3
  4. I did a frame like you said with the sand. We had gone to florida for vacation and I got some sand from the beach and shells and when I had gotten home I used glue and dusted the whole frame with the sand and then glued the shells in two of the corners and put a picture with us on the beach in the frame.
  5. On the bottom of the cutter it is open so you can see where you are cutting. Pretty much I print out my labels and then use the cutter upside down so I can line it up with what I have printed out. I hope I'm explaining that correctly :smiley2:
  6. I bought a 1 3/4" circle scrap book cutter to try out and it works great. I always print on full sheets and cut myself since I can never get anything to ever line up perfectly. I use avery and am always using the "custom" feature to get my "perfect" size label for whatever I am labeling!
  7. I personally would put "gift". Selling used items is kinda like having a rummage sale and people like to get things for less money when it comes to a used item and to pay all the fees that overseas people have to pay to recieve items from us can get pricey. Just my opinion
  8. I would love to make something for my son's acne...where can you fing Par D Arco? And another question, What would be a good percentage for these oils for use for acne? I've always wanted to make him something for this but am afraid I'll make something that worsens his already acne prone skin. He's been using Proactiv and it has helped but has never completely cleared up his face. Thank you for any input on this! Sandy
  9. That is awesome! Love your shop! Hope you get lots of extra business!
  10. They both look really good. But if I had to pick one I would have to say the first one (left)
  11. I was going to say Bed Bath & Beyond because they always have the 20% off coupon but I just checked their website and it says it is out of stock right now Otherwise you can go right to the Masterbuilt site but they are bit more $ than other places you can get them (if they were in stock at those other places!) Sorry not much help!
  12. I use logs and slab molds but I can tell you I never wrap up my soap with towels or anything. I perfer not to gel. Have a great weekend! Sandy
  13. Wow, I have carried lotions for about a year now and sales have always been slow. My candles and melts have always been where I make the $. Well I decided to change from the old bullet bottles to malibus with black caps from elements and also got some 1 oz malibu bottles and made up a bunch of samples and started passing them out at work to random people(I bartend at night) and now I have orders coming in left and right. One of my little samples made it to the next town over in another bar (someone must of been bar hopping LOL) and a couple orders are from people there! I wish I would of changed my packaging along time ago!!!! Sandy
  14. Ok nevermind after searching forever and ever I just went on elements site and found them I think! Sandy
  15. I was sent a bunch of lotions in a gift swap and want to find these bottles to make sample size lotions. On the bottles I was sent it did not have the oz on the label but I am assuming it is maybe 1oz could be 2oz and they have a oval flipcap (and not a round one like most of the tottle bottles I have seen have. And the oval lid pretty much is as wide as the bottle I have attached pics -sorry I used my cell to take them- If anyone knows where to find them I would so grateful to know!!! TIA Sandy
  16. Are you talking about the regular metal fluted type mold? You can get a silicone one at http://www.flexiblemolds.com/grubbyprimitive.htm scroll down to about the middle of the page and you'll see it on the left but me personally I would rather use the metal ones for making these because they are less expensive than to buy a silicone one. If I'm spending money on a silicone mold I'd rather buy one to make a specialty type tart like cinnamon buns or mini muffins or something like that since silicone molds are not cheap. Just my two cents. Sandy
  17. Do you have Microsoft excel? If you do I have a spreadsheet that all you have to do is put in the FO % and how many ounces of wax you are going to use and it will calcualate the FO amount for ya. Let me know and I'll email it to ya. Sandy~WI
  18. I also look like a space creature LOL I always wear my googles and rubber gloves. Once I was wearing flip flops while soaping and had a tiny granule of lye fall on my foot and took a min to realize it had and it started to burn a little hole on the top of my foot so need to say I won't make that mistake again and now I always have on my tennis shoes too. I am very comfortable working with lye but still make sure I take precautions when using it. Sandy
  19. Oh I'm in WI and I get mine from Nu-Scents in McHenry IL which is about a 40 min drive for me. Sandy
  20. I use the 10 oz ones and they hold approx. 9 ozs depending on how full you fill them. I've never used the 7 oz so have no idea on those. I like the look of the 10 oz and I use the plastic dust covers on these and clear labels, they look spa like, good sellers for me. I get mine for .83 a piece buying them in lots of 72 and I fortunatly can pick these up so I save a bit by cutting out the shipping cost and replacing it with gas money but I get them at the same place I get my wax from so I definately save $ without having shipping costs. Sandy
  21. I was just over on the Dish and seen a post about Elements Bath & Body might be taking on FOH oils I hope they do!
  22. I've only soaped BCN Nag Champa and it is super strong.
  23. I was gonna say plumbers putty also
