  1. They are on the same line as bath bombs just minus a few ingredients and they don't have the consistency to be able to form into ball shapes like bath bombs.
  2. Looks great! I have that same phrase "No more stinky sinks" LOL I have a huge bag of wooden scoops that I didn't know what I was gonna use them for so I hope you don't mind me using that idea, I package mine in the same type bags and never thought to just hang the scoop from them. I use to make bath salts and package them the same way but it didn't click to do it with the sink fresheners LOL Sandy~WI edit: I posted the recipe in this thread where someone had asked about it http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73057
  3. That came up so small and I tried to edit and couldnt make it bigger so I reposted the whole thing Sorry!!! I copy and pasted this from BCN newsletter so I take no credit for the recipe but I have tried it and it's nice! But I believe this is what she was referring to for the sink fresheners and BCN Lemon Pucker is great for this! HTH Sandy~WI I make my own product to freshen kitchen or bathroom sinks. I mix together 2 cups baking soda, 1 cup citric acid and 4 Tablespoons Bitter Creek fragrance oil (my favorite apple pie scent). After mixing, spread onto waxed paper. Let dry for several hours. When dry, package into small cello bags or a jar. Directions: Fill sink 1/2 full with very hot water. Add 3-4 tablespoons of mixture. The wonderful aroma will soon fill the air. Let the water set until cool. Drain water from sink. The remaining baking soda mixture in sink can then be used to clean the sink. I package and sell these as Aroma Sink Scents.
  4. reposted below since I couldnt edit this tiny text LOL
  5. That a good point! I should of said that when explaining how I did it, I just assumed everyone would know that but I shouldn't assume :embarasse I don't take off any of my protective gear until I'm done with everything which encludes washing all my pots and utensils. :smiley2: Sandy~WI
  6. Yup I actaully bang my mold a couple times on the cement ground in my basement where I work, it gets any air bubbles out and kinda evens it all and it doesnt mess up my swirls at all I guess I should say I have a wood slab mold so I don't know the constuction of a upland but tapping or banging whatever works! Sandy~WI
  7. Love them! Your labels look great!!! Sandy~WI
  8. So my husband asked me about making anise soap for fishing and I was searching around trying to figure out a recipe for this. I seen one that said all coconut oil but was wondering if the recipe really makes a difference when making "fisherman soap" can I just use my usual CP soap recipe or does the different soap ingredients make a differnece for this type of soap? Now another question is, I have never made cp soap using EO's, how much do you use per lb of soap? I guess it probably depends on the EO? If so then with anise how much do you use per lb? Is there anything I should be aware of when making cp soap using eo's rather then fo's that is different? Well I'm off to do some more research! Any help is appreciated Sandy~WI
  9. They are small...they hold one square from the clamshells. They are really cute sitting on the counter in the kitchen though!
  10. Where can I find the shallow wood crates that hold like three bars of soap laying flat out? I hope I'm describing that correctly. I have seen them where someone puts crinkle paper in them laying the bars flat out and shrink wrapped. TIA Sandy~WI
  11. Has anyone soaped Apple Mango Tango from TCS? Just curious if the scent sticks and if it turns brown. TIA Sandy~WI
  12. Unfortantely I did not read about the bad CS until after I placed an order so I got a little weary but did finally get an email stating my items are shipping but I specifically put a note on my order stating if something was not available to please contact me before continuing with my order but of course that did not happen and the main thing I wanted is not coming but the other piddly things I bought just to mess around with are and I hate paying shipping costs on things I don't think are worth it so now my shipping cost is pretty much the same amount as my order since the clamshells are not coming!!!! And that s*cks! Live and learn I guess! Sandy~WI
  13. I bought these from the first two co-ops and this is how I packaged them (look at thread link below) and sold them for $8.50. I included a coffee bean wax melt clamshells with it. Huge hit during Christmas for that little gift everyone was looking to find! http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63510&highlight=coffee+cup Sandy~WI
  14. Ok I have another question... I have made emulsified butter and with that you heat up the ingredients like the ewax, stearic and hard butters...do I heat all those up when making the scrub...any specific temp? and do I whip those things together like I would when making emul. butter? and then add the presevative, fo and sugar? I'm probably making this harder than what it is LOL I just have a tendency to over think things LOL Another question, I seen in a different post about sub. out the cetyl alcohol and someone said you could omit it if you want, that's the only ingred. I don't have and since I am snowed in today I thought I would mess around and try this but just omit the cetyl alcohol...what effect will I be missing if I do omit this? Thank you Sandy~WI
  15. quick question...I've never used or purchased cetyl alcohol and I was searching for it and went on Lotioncrafter's site and found this Cetyl Alcohol NF...is this what I should be purchasing? There was two differengt types on the site and wasnt sure...this was the other one listed...Cetearyl Alcohol NF (30/70) I am assuming the first one is correct? Sandy~WI
  16. I would love to find a recipe too...just something basic and then I would have a starting point to tweak and stuff but don't have a clue where to start Sandy~WI
  17. I had that problem too. to try and make a long story short...my computer took a poop, which had xp and I had an all in one printer blah blah well Dell sent me a new pc but it had vista on it, well my printer wasnt compatable with vista but dell had me do some stuff I think download drivers so my printer would work now that I had vista, well I never could get it to print with out having to go in and do a print preview (I could when I had xp and that printer) but I just bought a laptop and printer combo package, it has vista, I downloaded design pro and have not had one prob with the above so I believe now it had a little to do also with my old printer not being compatable with vista. Sandy~WI
  18. I remember on my old computer that when I would go to click on the save tab it after designing something and it would say there was an error and would shut down and I would lose everything I just worked on and that was with XP so I had to instead click on "file" and then click on "save as"and so on, but I was having other issues with that computer as well so I never did find out what was causing that issue. Are you able to start any project on there or is it right when you bring up the program? Sorry I'm not a huge help Sandy~WI
  19. I have 5.4 and have had no problems so far with Vista. Have you uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it yet? Sandy~WI
  20. I made this recipe twice so far but now I am the opposite, I'd like it to be just a tad thicker, what would I change to accompish this? Is it the steric acid? I used a stick blender when making this, should I be using a kitchenaid to mix this to get a thicker consistency? Or does it matter? I first started out using a hand mixer but it did not get blended as well, so I used the stick blender and that seemed to work good, I have a kitchenaid but use that for baking so I didnt know if I wanted to convert it to B&B items yet. Any help would be so appreciated :smiley2: Sandy~Wi
  21. Vio, How much FO did you use per lb? Thanks Sandy~WI
  22. Do any of you make a master batch of emulsified butter and then scent to order? I'm not selling this quite yet but would like to make an unscented batch and try out different scents in it but didnt know if adding scent to it days or even weeks later would make it break down. Thanks for any help Sandy~WI
