  1. I love the Just By Nature's Pomegranate. Its Yummy.
  2. Southern Scents -in another post you said that you had made your bath gel yourself and that it could be found on your website, the picture on your site is the same picture Gelluminations has on their site for their bath gel. Do you make the gel for them or are you buying from them wholesale, which then would make your reply not true. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=385602#post385602 I have to say I think you dug yourself a grave.
  3. I love to knit. I also make jewelry and sew baby blankets, burpies for a local baby line where I live. I make clothes every now and then when I feel inspired. I love the glue gun and when I see anything out in the stores that I think I can duplicate, I go home and try it. But the candle making thing is definately my newest and favorite new obsession. I plan on dabbling in some soap making real soon!!!!
  4. Your website just isn't that user friendly. I went to look at you bulk B and B products and clicked on soy lotion, I have to say that a spoon full of lotion just thrown down on a table top looks a bit unappealing and not too professional. Just looking at that photo I don't think I would want purchase from your site. Sorry but that's the truth. A am bit confessed that you said you didn't know what wick size you use but you sell wicks? One should know what size they use and what kind ie...eco's, cd's, rrd's, list goes on. Also in earlier posts you didn't know what Flashpoint meant but you sell FO????? If you are a seller I think you have certain responsiblities to your customers as to the knowledge of the products you sell. But this whole thread has been entertaining.
  5. If you are happy with your product and you have tested it to death then you should try a small show or maybe put together a little house party together and show off your product. Also see if you have any local farmers market, they are usually not alot of money to do, at least in my area. Good luck!!!!!!
  6. I use Just By Nature, Millcreek, BCN oils and love them, I am a soy wax user. I do well with Candle Source too but have only tried a few. Also I just recently fell in love with Daystar.
  7. saw it on this site wellington fragrance company
  8. I used Millcreek christmas splendor but renamed it Hot Apple Cider. It is super strong and my customers loved it and thought is smelled dead on.
  9. I have seen it at Save on Scents.
  10. Just doing my research on what to get to dabble in some soap making. I think I will start with MP. So here is my stupid question. How many bars of soap can one make with a pound of soap? Say your mold is 5 oz. ( just picked a number). Thanks for any replies. I haven't bought any products yet that is way I am asking to see how much I should start with as I will testing and wanting to be able to gift some of it. I think I figured it out, thanks for viewing anyway.
  11. I think the average person who doesn't know the ins and outs of candle making really won't notice wet spots. And once the person lits it then you wont notice it at all. Also remember it is a hand made candle and I am sure made with love, your friend will love it either way.
  12. Same here, 24-48 hours. There are a few of my oils that definately need a longer cure time. It is true the longer they sit the better but if you can get a good hot throw in a couple of days you know it will only get better in time.
  13. If you are still looking for insurance, if you only make candles you can got to The Handmade Beauty Network, they are just like the soap guild. Same price too and I think they use the same insurance company too.
  14. Thank you guys so much for the info!!!! Happy New Year to all.
  15. Looking for a suplier of glass roll on bottles, about 1/3 oz size or around that size. I am looking for a place where I can get a small amount like a dozen to start. Need them for gifts. Thanks! Think I found a good deal at SKS but if anyone else has some ideas it would be appreciated.
  16. i second JBN Mexican Vanilla. My customers love it and it works for soy users. I also mix it with lots of my other FO.
  17. When I used 444 I used RRD as well and was happy with my results.
  18. Try looking for it under essential oils.
  19. he was moving it and had just worked a 18 hr day and clearly wasn't thinking right.
  20. I really didn't a difference in scent throw between the 444 and the c3. I switched to c3 because I can get it locally. With my oils I can get a pretty decent hot scent throw after 48 hours, there are only a few FO that need a longer cure time. But I do have to say that the longer the cure the better they are. I just poured some tonight that I plan on selling on sunday.
  21. I have soy candles and my wax does not get that hot either, I tested it just for my own personal knowledge but I would never encourage anyone to use it as a lotion. And once I blew out one of my candles and my husband went to the jar and he didn't notice it had been lit and turned it upside down and it wasn't very hot at all he just didn't like the smell (baby powder). It was sort of funny. But I agree with such a large amount of oil it could irritate the skin. I would never put that much oil in a custom scented lotion.
  22. I am almost positive you can. The store is open to the public. I go almost every week. They are very nice. Just give them a call
  23. I went from GB 444 to C3 and I am nuch happier with my results. Just By Nature has it and they are in Texas
  24. I just feel better having it. I made sure I got it before I started selling. I went through the Handmade Beauty Network. If insurance company is a reputable large company. In my area the quotes I got were $1000 and up so yes I do think $500 was a great deal plus you have an organization behind you. I know the payment is costly up front but it is for a year. Also some craft shows I attend require insurance so I also need it for that. In the end its just better to cover you butt.
