I'm interested too, cuz I would like to masterbatch. Things I wonder-does the lye sit overnight? Do I still need to melt the hard oils? Or do you make the lye water, use it hot and not melt the hard oils? :embarasse
Hot spiced cocoa rocks in soy. I tested some others, but don't remember which ones-it was a long time ago. I'd say the hit or miss ratio with soy wax is about the same as other suppliers. Their Fo's are a bit more complex and expensive than others.
Brilliant idea! I don't wash mine-case to tray to pour-back to case. I didn't even have a dishwasher til we moved in september, no freakin' way was I gonna wash 'em all by hand, why start now?
Quite alot! Soy Candles: Asian Mango & Honeysuckle Pink Sugar Gardenia Pumpkin Spice Cantaloupe & Tiger Lily Lip Balm Experiments! Not in the pot but needs doing: show applications
I have not used that particular wax-but this is what I do. I add FO @ 175, pour at 105-115. Then I use my trusty heat gun to fix the tops. IMO a heat gun is an absolutley necessary, cannot live without it-soy candle making accessory.
It was late and I was having issues bringing the image down to posting size, maybe after dinner I will throw up some close ups. Thanks for your kind words, all!
