    Angi, I use both. FCO for my dry scrubs and 76 coconut oil for emulsified scrubs.

    High oleic safflower and sunflower oils would give a much longer shelf life than the high linoleic safflower and sunflower oils. The later is getting harder to find. Oh, I love coconut oil in scrubs!!

    Letting your soap breathe will also help with rancidity issues. I recommend a few holes, also.
