  1. Beautiful shade of green on the cucumber one...ummm I think I can smell it. Great job!
  2. Thanks for posting this Michelle!! We all have to keep on our toes to make sure our products are safe!
  3. I would use the FCO if it is for massage, also. Very light weight. I haven't heard of coconut cream butter, but like Noodle, it does sound interesting.
  4. Depending on the oils that I am using I would say 5%-10% castor is a lovely addition to soap.
  5. I consider it to be unisex and I use Tony's, it's fabulous!!
  6. The men in my life like Daystar's Wood Coffee and straight Patchouli.
  7. Personally, have not used Daystar's Honey & Propolis, but have heard great reviews about it. It just drips with honey. I've been very tempted to try it.
  8. A-l-o-n-g time ago I tried "butter" in a soap and did not like it. I'm not saying not to try it, because maybe I used too much ( don't remember how much ) or maybe the superfat was too high. My skin did not feel good and I didn't like the natural scent it left on my skin. YUCK!! If you try it maybe you'll have better luck with it. Let is know!
  9. I agree with what AJ said, and my skin likes milk soaps much better. In the winter I get flakey skin and it really helps!!
  10. Sounds like yours is a success. I'm going to give it a try next week when things are quiet around here.
  11. Beautiful soap!! What kind of cookies did you feed that fairy?
  12. MsDammit, good thinking! I've been making gm soaps for a while and never thought about mixing lye/water, wait for cool down then add the gm powder! I just may have to try that one. You have a great day!
  13. Emu oil is a lovely oil. It can be used in lotions and healing salves. I don't do MP so I can't give you a % for that, wish I could. Oh, and I do use it sometimes as a nighttime facial oil.
  14. I've used chamomile tea to dissolve lye in instead of water. It leaves a wonderful scent in a cured soap. Make it a strong infusion. I don't strain the flowers, I like to leave it in to give the soap a lovely look.
