  1. We don't have permission to see that link, or I don't anyway. I agree with not giving my money to a shady business. BUT, from your post on the length of time that people were charged before complaining... It would probably take me even longer to realize it. I don't think I've looked at my CC statement in over a year *faint* Yeah I know, I'm asking for it, shame on me! I use it so rarely that I just don't think to check it. Now, if a magazine showed up in my box, that'd get the suspicion running. Course, it's nearly maxed anyway so there couldn't be too much charged on it. Not that that's a good excuse :embarasse I'm just saying I can understand how they didn't notice for a while.
  2. They're handmade glass beads... to be used for anything beads are used for
  3. Yup, it works too. If your skin is tough, no biggie. If it's normal, it'll dry it out just a bit. If it's sensitive, I wouldn't try it :embarasse
  4. Thanks. I had found that site as well, but have no idea in the differences of them...lol. Gonna take more research :rolleyes2 Course, it probably wont matter since the self-lighting wicks in candles are patented and they might come after me :embarasse
  5. Thanks Di! I've looked myself but really wasn't sure what to call them...lol Hmmm.. magnesium. That's a good start anyway
  6. Does anyone know how these are made? I'm wondering if it's a special wick or if it's treated with something. The mosquitoes are eating me alive but the citronella candles don't want to stay lit in a heavy breeze so I'm thinking this might be a good way to keep it lit if I can figure it out

  8. ooOO... I really like those swirls and the colors you chose! The pastel colors are so soft and delicate.
  9. The orange sure is an eye catcher! I really like the OO with the green clay in it. Looks like a very delicate marble, just beautiful
  10. Beautiful! Glad I'm in the swap... I can't way to try one
  11. They're all gorgeous but I really like that Breathless! Hmm... I must be an odd ball here cuz I see google eyes
  12. I love those colors and the swirls turned out very nice
  13. Here's some pics from the gallery of marbled soy. There are others too if you search. They look cool http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10223&highlight=marble+soy
  14. Ahh, but the serious bashing can be a great stress reliever
  15. Now.. this confuses me. If it's not turned on, why put then in? Unless maybe it's the slight heat from the pilot light. In which case, my electric does the same by turning the light on. Either way, it doesn't seem beneficial. While heating them slightly might make them dry faster, it would probably make the scent leave faster as well. Just adding less FO should have about the same results. In my thinking, the best way to help the FO absorb is to shake, rattle and roll as often as possible.
  16. I usually use an old pillowcase and drop it on the concrete floor of the garage. If I'm trying for certain sized chunks, I score it deep with a knife then use a large chisel and hammer
  17. I really can't tell. Are you talking about the ones with the black lines/edges? I don't see any pictures of them when they're not lit which would probably make it easier to tell. I suspect they're probably not as pretty unlit. The glow enhances most candles, IMO.
  18. You CAN put in as much as you want. You may have wax soup, but it's possible. LOL The max % load from the mfg is supposed to be the highest of the range that will bind with the wax as I understand it. It will vary some anyway depending on what FO you use, any additives, different conditions, etc. However, more is not always better. You can add more FO to the wax and have it mix in fine, but it doesn't mean you will automatically get a better scent throw. It does mean though that it will cost you more to make the candle. So you have to decide for yourself if it gives you enough improvemnt to justify the added expense.
  19. Those are very pretty! I can't imagine the patience it must take
  20. Have you tried leaving it uncolored to see just how dark the FO itself makes the wax? If it's darker than ivory you may need to add a bit of white pigment to it.
  21. I may be way off base here but I don't think castor or any other oil will give you bubbles if it's not saponified (is that a real word...lol?) with the lye. It may be added in to help hold them together and shoo the warts away.
  22. Never seen one. Probably wont. Not made standard anyway. Getting 3 wicks to burn in a 3" pillar without blowouts would be quite a trick in itself. Trying to do that in a square one ....I just can't imagine. Even a single wick is tricky trying to get the corners to melt without blowing out the sides. With 3 wicks and 4 corners, I just can't see all 4 walls holding up. Good luck to ya! Just adding... JB Weld is not really necessary. Aluminum tape seals great and it wouldn't make your "adjustments" permanent. Putty would work too and probably even better since it could fill in the little hole too so the old hole mark wouldn't show as much on the top of the candle.
