  1. Pretty positive. Over the weekend I went to the web-site and it wasn't listed. I e-mailed them and got the reply this morning. Something to do with the cost. so the mp123, and the mp145 are both going to be discontinued. Bummer, bummer, bummer:cry2: .
  2. Okay, I just found out NG is not going to carry the wax I use. It is MP123. I use it for 8oz j.j.. I went to order more when I found out. I read before the the J50 is about as close to this wax as it gets. I know the Bittercreek South sells J50, but I cannot find any other suppliers. All your help will be greatly appreciated. I know I will have to test all over again, but I wanted to get as close to the MP123 as I could. Thanks in advance for your help.
  3. I did my first show of the year yesterday here in my own town and only sold one candle. Candlewitch is right. The woman selling food made a killing. the show I did happens once a month and I was thinking I will probably do more to get to know the people and when they are ready to buy hopefully they will buy from me. I look at it as an advertisement cost. Heck nobody (at least around here) looks in the newspapers for ads so not all was lost.
  4. One of my best sellers this time of year is green clover and aloe by Natures Garden.
  5. I think the same thing. In fact I was making twigs and berries yesterday thinking it was from Nature's Garden and it wasn't. I was thinking to myself oh yeah Nature's sells the tayberry and teakwood. Very simimlar if not exactly alike. Didn't know they sold the twigs and berries though.
  6. wow, great info. I so appreciate everyone's help. thanks
  7. I purchased some raspberry patchoulli some time back and I cannot remember where I got it from. Today I was able to pick up seperate scents of raspberry and patchoulli and I was wondering how to mix. I do not want the patchoulli to overpower the raspberry, and as strong as patchoulli is I know if I mix half and half that is exactly what is going to happen. Patchoulli will overpower the raspberry. Any ideas? Do you think maybe 3% raspberry, and 2% patchoulli? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks pat
  8. I liked NG's georgia surise (i think or sunset), it was an excellent throw hot and cold in MP123 or J50.
  9. I do it all the time for myself. don't know why you couldn't IMO. Maybe someone knows something I don't and could chime in.
  10. Gerrie, did you just buy from JoAnn's recently? I was there yesterday and could have sworn there were all different kinds, and they were on sale. Could just be the usual, in my store, but not in yours. Just curious.
  11. was at a craft show yesterday and the booth I saw had people scooping thier own for $5.00 a cup (looked to be a 2 cup, cup). Does that seem pricey to anyone, or is it just me?
  12. same here. I did a craft show a couple weekends ago, and people were selling there's starting at four dollars. and even the ones home interior does for fundraisers were going for five dollars. I'm not sure of the size. I do know they are no smaller than the 8oz. jj. I'm thinking probably the 9oz size. So heck, I thought I was doing good to get $5.00 ea. for mine.
  13. well it figures. just moved down a couple threads and I found my answer. This is too cool. I never knew you could do that. This board is so informative.
  14. really, they are super. Question....not the sharpest tool yet. What is the modge podge for? Does that seal the can in some way?
  15. I like the way it looks. I mean there really isn't anything attractive with the warmer, and this way you just see the bowl and whatever is in it.
  16. I cannot seem to get passed the headings on the Nu Scents website. When I click on any of the products I get a fatal error message:confused:
  17. on sheryl55, and jeana. Had to scroll back to the top when i could'nt find it. IMO I would make the name a brighter color.
  18. and in ohio there is naturesgardencandles.com I use them alot, and have never been not pleased.
  19. I would be the opposite. I wish I had the nerve to try and make soap.
  20. what would you color "winter garden" in a candle. Fragrance description says... array of several floral fragrances tied in with a woodsy pine. any help will be greatly appreciated. tia
  21. i just got my order from n.g. today too. the only one i can be really honest about is the hot baked apple pie. it is awesome cold, and better hot. i use mp123, and 145. works well in both.
  22. does the tayberry and teakwood from Nature's smell like twigs and berries from bittercreek?
  23. I just picked up some of these yesterday at Big Lot's too. They were also running low. I agree that you can probably get a local hardware or farm supply to order them for you. I know the hardware store I go to will order all year if I ask.
