  1. got the oils today. thanks for everything!

  2. My heart aches too. I'm sure she has her reasons for closing. I too wish her the best, and I too am going to have to find a new supplier to replace KY125, Plumberry Spice, Midnight Pomegranate, Apple Clove Butter, Sugar Cookie, Vanilla Butter Fudge, Vineyard just to name a few.
  3. I absolutely love, love Plumberry Spice from Ky. Strong throw to say the least.
  4. I've just read Brighter Scents now carries this Dupe. My dauther got a hold of this at B&BW a couple weeks ago and simply loves it.
  5. I ordered from them and it took only a week to deliver. Everything was beautiful. I even ordered the plug in aroma lights. I think I ordered around 15 or so, 3 were out of stock and I sold all but 2 in one evening. some of them, especially the plug in's should be used with either a very small tart or aroma oil as the dish is not very big. HTH.
  6. thanks for all the replies. searching tells me peaks and tri-state will be the ones to try next.
  7. Hey everyone, haven't posted for a while but I just had to on this. I ordered and received patchouli from bcn. I should have known the outcome by the price of the 1 lb. bottle. Anyway, I think the only thing I can call it is "Not Patchouli".
  8. Definately start Christmas a lot earlier. And I have got to get better organized. I sold so many candles this season, and it took me very much by surprise. I have said before that if my hobby becomes a job, and I have to do it I won't want to, but that has not been the case. I love that I have to make candles. It has taken a while, but this year end has been awesome.
  9. Their plumberry spice is to die for. Country gift shop is also another good one. I cannot keep the midnight pomegranate for long. As soon as I make the candles and tarts they vanish.
  10. I think it's great. Easy to get around, and very tasteful descriptions.
  11. I have to totally agree. What an awesome smell.
  12. To each his own. Personally almost every bottle of f.o. I have is from N.G. Here are a few that throw well in joy wax, j223, and a new pillar wax I started using from b.c. Southern Home Flower Child Acorn Harvest Green Clover & Aloe Black Raspberries & Vanilla Vanilla Lace Pumpkin Crunch Cake Chocolate Covered Cherries Georgia Sunrise Eucalyptus There have only been a few that I wasn't pleased with, one being the Macintosh Apple. Didn't throw well cold or hot.
  13. I just did a show last weekend and I think there were 8 of us total, and I did pretty good. I guess you never know.
  14. Those are great. Puts me in the mood to try them myself. Been threatening to do it for a while. Hope they turn out like yours.
  15. I color twigs and berries 2 to 1, red and brown. HTH
  16. I just got two cases of wax, a few color blocks, couple dozen wick centering tools, and a hundred wicks and shipping cost me 54.03
  17. I ordered some container wax too, but haven't used it yet. Please post when you do. I have been in a dilemma about which container wax to use. I just got finished with a case of the joy wax and really was not too crazy about it. I love NG fragrances though, and so want to order everything from one supplier. thanks
  18. I hear the part of not being able to get more than $5.00 in this area either. But I think after paying almost $50.00 to ship two cases of wax to me I'm gonna try to raise the price (even just a little).
  19. You should be so lucky. The stupid wal-mart here didn't even have the regular half pint jars. Just the real fancy ones. I hate this wal-mart:angry2: .
  20. Man oh man. No way am I using joy for tarts. Funny you should mention this because I am having somewhat of a dilemma on what to use for my tarts. I personally think the harder the wax the better for tarts. They hold up better, and look better. I was using NG MP145 for my tarts, but just like the MP123 they quit carrying it. I asked them what they thought would be a good tart wax and they suggested the palm pillar or thier pillar of bliss. I'm still not sure though. Like I said the harder the better. I started out with the joy for containers, and then switched to the mp123 (which I loved). I've tried the j50, and the j223, and it was okay, but then you order container wax from here, tart wax from there, then over there is where you get your fragrance. Why oh why does it have to be this complicated??? So there, now that I have vented I hope I helped you with your question. To me joy is too messy for tarts, and they just don't look as eye appealing. My personal opinion.
  21. Nature's Garden Wow wax. Has anyone tried it yet. After a year of testing a few different waxes, I still have not decided on "the one". I was using ng's mp123, and they quit selling it. So I have tried the j50, the j223, joy. There were a couple other waxes I was reading on here, thinking I might try. Then I opened ng's newletter to see they started carrying a couple more kinds of wax, and this wow wax is one of them. Just thought I would see if anyone knew anything about it. TIA kuepie
  22. I use the liquid occasionally with no problems of smell. Mostly though I use color blocks. Last longer and less messy.
  23. Maybe then I will try this wax. I've tried many, but really not satisfied with them. I started out using mp123 from NG, but they discontinued it. Then I tried the j50, j223, and now the joy wax from NG. The joy is definately out. Not liking the whole (or whatever % it is now) soy thing. I really do like the paraffin blend better. Thanks for the info.
  24. That happens to me too. I thought in the beginning it was because my coat hangs not too far from where I pour, but the other day not wearing a coat the girl at the grocery store told me I smelled like candles. I took that as a compliment.
