  1. I don't make soaps or sprays, but I don't think you can go wrong with Pink Sugar.
  2. Where did you find the Pomengranate from WYW? BitterCreek does not have that one. I wouldn't pay that much for any scent, but I would for Pomengranate. I love that scent.
  3. Thank You All. Yes, I have tried Bitter Creeks, and it is very good, just not the same. I don't think I have tried the one for gels, though. I will order a sample of that and one from Keystone. I love all of the ocean scents too, but they are very different to me than the sea breeze. I love thgis board, it is so helpful.
  4. I am looking for a good Sea Breeze, like the one that Missy's use to sell before they went out of busines. I have tried it from many other companies and just doesn't smell the same as theirs. The ones I smell now kinda have a spicy smell to it. Missy's was just very clean and fresh. Does anyone remember hers and know where to get something very close to it. Thank You.
  5. Well, believe me, I am not a teen, tween, or a twenty. More like a fifty, and this is my favorite scent. I have about 70 different scents and this is the one I burn everyday, and I don't like any food or bakery scent. This is just so different. I just ordered abottle of perfume, can't wait to get it.
  6. Gotta agree with ICS, and I have tried a lot of them.
  7. I always do three pours, too. Yes it is a bit more work, but they look so good. The only thing that I do different is to pour them almost overflowing with the first pour, second poor just enough th fill the sink holes, and third, the entire top overflowing the edges a bit. HTH
  8. I have been using this wax lateley too, and I am usng zinc in mine. I want to try the lx, and I got a sample pack of them, but haven't had time to figure the right sizes yet. The zinc's really do pretty well. I don't use the tins, so can't help you there.
  9. With the 4" apothecary, I usually have pretty good luck with the 62-52-18z, and the 798 in the premier wicks. I never double wick, and always get a full melt pool. I use 6006 wax and sometimes J50. I know this is not soy, but may work for you, too.
  10. Wow, I did not know you were suppose to use that much. Actually, I have just started using it and only made a couple scents, Pink Sugar, and Strawberry, both from the Candle Source. I only use about 1 oz per lb., and so far what I have tested after only a couple of days has thrown very well. How does it work with 1 3/4 oz.? Do you have trouble blending it all in. I may try and see, but really it seems to be OK with just 1 oz. Thanks for your response.
  11. If anyone out there uses 6006 wax, how long do you usually let it cure?
  12. I always use 44-24-18z in my votives. They burn very well. They do get a very large mushroom after they have been lit a while, but after you clip that one off they do great.
  13. I must be an oddball. I tried melting them in the oven but after a few burned fingers from getting them out, I stopped that. I put mine in the freezer for a few minutes and the wax just slides off of them, then I wipe with paper towels. So much faster and safer for me.
  14. I have "Moon Flower" from Lonestar. Never heard of Moon, though.
  15. Has anyone here ever used pink sugar from ICS and the candle source. In your opinion which has the best scent throw. I love the Ics, but have never used the candle source, but have heard very good things about it. I am using J-50 and 6006. [Not Mixed.] Thanks for your opinions.
  16. I absolutell agree with you. Me, I did just the opposite and spent a ton of money, then asked, I learned the hard way. That has been for about 6 years, now I just go stright to search and read and read and read some more. I thas been a God Send to me on more than one occasion. I love this board. P.S. I still ask questions when I am really stumped.
  17. Not sure if I am posting this in the right place or not, but just had to share the results of a candle I made with ICS PINK Sugar. I just started using 6006 wax and was using the zinc wicks, which I probably still will, cause I really like them. But I had gotten a sample pack of the LX's and read a lot of old post on this board{VERY HELPFUL}. Anyway, I used a 16 oz. apothecary jar, the 6006 wax, and 1LX-24 wick. By the third burn, I am getting a full melt pool, and no soot. While I wasn't actually testing for scent throw, cause my main concern was the wick, I gotta tell you, this is throwing like crazy, and I just made it yesterday. Somedays are good.
  18. Yep, Me too, I have used a lot of both of them and love them both, Great scent throw. I am using 6006 right now and haven't had time to test, but if there is not a lot of difference, I will go back to J-50.
  19. I love their Strawberry Cheese Cake, and the Pomengranate. Also the pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie
  20. I like the zincs, too. I am experimenting with the eco's and the lx series, but so far, I think I am gonna stay with the winks. Geez, if they only didn't mushroom so bad.
  21. I have only tested a couple and not all the way down, but I haven't had any soot issues. I am testing some with the LX and some with Zincs. Isn't the soot problem caused by the wicks and not the wax? I really, really like this wax.
  22. Thanks to Everyone for your help. I am really loving this wax. I have been playing with it all week and am very impressed. I am wondering if anyone has tried layered containers with it. I haven't noticed any wet spots with the wax which is a common problem I have with layers and other waxes. I think I am gonna try it, just wondering if any one else has yet,,,Thanks Again,Donna
  23. Thank You Debele, I had done some research and a lot of sources tend to agree with you, so I am in the process right now of making a pomengranate with 6006 and a wide mouth 16oz jar right now. I appreciate your help.
